The purpose of this study is to compare two different treatment approaches to recanalization started within 3 hours of symptom onset-combined intravenous (IV) and endovascular therapy and standard intravenous (IV) rt-PA alone.
NCT00448851
The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the effect of inhaled dust mite allergen extract on airway responses in allergic individuals with mild asthma. Information learned from this study will be used to identify a safe dose range of D Farinae extract for use in inhalation challenge studies. This study will also help determine how inhalation of the allergen affects mucociliary clearance (MCC) which is a measure of how quickly mucus clears from the airway.
NCT00988143
The purpose of this study is to describe the immunogenicity of the prototype Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine (QIV) compared with the 2009-2010 Trivalent Influenza Vaccine (TIV) and the 2008-2009 TIV among children and adults. Primary Objective: To describe the immunogenicity of the prototype Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine (QIV) compared with the 2009-2010 Trivalent Influenza Vaccine (TIV) and the 2008-2009 TIV among adults. Observational Objectives: * To describe the safety of the 2009-2010 TIV among subjects ≥6 months to \<5 years, 18-60 years, and ≥ 61 years of age, and to describe the safety of 2008-2009 TIV and prototype QIV Fluzone® vaccines among subjects 18-60 years and ≥ 61 years of age. * To describe the immunogenicity of the 2009-2010 TIV vaccine among subjects ≥6 months to \<5 years, 18-60 years, and ≥61 years of age, and to describe the immunogenicity of 2008-2009 TIV and prototype QIV vaccines among subjects 18-60 years and ≥61 years of age.
NCT01556711
The objectives of the study are to document device performance with respect to the primary and secondary endpoints.
NCT00926575
Use of an oral topically-active glucocorticoid with limited side effects will control the gastrointestinal inflammatory process of GVHD and minimize glucocorticoid exposure.
NCT01153009
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of vortioxetine, once daily (QD), compared with placebo in adults with major depressive disorder.
NCT00003814
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known if eflornithine is more effective than no further therapy in treating bladder cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of eflornithine in treating patients who have newly diagnosed or recurrent bladder cancer.
NCT00933543
The purpose of this trial is to study the efficacy and safety of Visonac PDT in patients from 9 to 35 years old with Aktilite® CL512. Patients was randomized to Visonac or vehicle cream without occlusion and red light(dose: 37J/cm2)
NCT00679588
The primary objective is to compare the efficacy and safety of once daily (q.d.) subcutaneous (s.c.) injections of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) with q.d. s.c. injections of Enoxaparin for the prevention of Venous Thromboembolic Events (VTE) in patients undergoing major abdominal surgery. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the safety of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) and to document Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) exposure in this population.
NCT00731653
The objective of this study is to allow patients who have participated in the precursor study of BCI-024 in combination with BCI-049 versus placebo or BCI-024 alone (Protocol #CBM-IT-01) to receive 6 weeks of open-label treatment with an increased dose of BCI-024 in combination with an increased dose of BCI-049. The safety and tolerability of this higher dose of the combination will be evaluated, as will the treatment effect in reducing symptoms of depression in patients with MDD.
NCT00672620
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of vortioxetine, once daily (QD), in adults with major depressive disorder.
NCT01536821
The PROGENI Family Study is part of a larger consortium that is studying a gene shown to be important in Parkinson's disease, called LRRK2.
