NCT00791258
The initial 12 week portion of this 20 week study will examine the ability of a combination of olmesartan medoxomil and amlodipine to lower the blood pressure of patients with high blood pressure who have not had sufficient blood pressure reduction using one anti-hypertension drug (monotherapy). The final 8 weeks of this 20 week study will examine the ability of a combination of olmesartan medoxomil, amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide to lower blood pressure in the same patient population. All three medications being tested have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of high blood pressure, but only amlodipine and olmesartan are currently approved for use in combination form.
NCT01465802
To assess the impact of prophylactic treatment on the incidence of adverse events in advanced NSCLC patients (post chemotherapy) treated with dacomitinib daily as a single agent. To assess the impact of an interrupted dacomitinib dosing schedule in Cycle 1 on the incidence of adverse events in first-line advanced NSCLC patients with an EGFR mutation (HER-1 mutation, HER-2 mutation or HER-2 amplification).
NCT00818441
This study will explore the safety and efficacy of the oral PanHER inhibitor PF-00299804 in patients with adenocarcinoma of the lung who are either non-smokers (\<100 cigarette, cigar or pipe lifetime) or former light smokers ( less than 10 pack-years and stopped at least 15 years) or have known EGFR activating mutation; or patients with HER 2 amplification or mutation.
NCT02309099
The goal of this project is to determine whether subjects who have undergone labyrinthectomy or a translabyrinthine surgical approach as the treatment for vestibular schwannoma or Meniere's disease benefit from cochlear implantation on speech perception and localization tasks. If the auditory nerve is able to transmit this signal effectively, then these two populations may be able to utilize the combination of electric (in the affected ear) and acoustic (in the non-affected ear) information for improved speech perception in noise and localization as reportedly experienced in other unilateral sensorineural hearing loss populations.
NCT00087126
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as topotecan, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well topotecan works in treating women with persistent or recurrent cervical cancer.
NCT01846416
This multicenter, single-arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab (MPDL3280A) in participants with PD-L1-positive locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC. Participants will receive an intravenous (IV) dose of 1200 milligrams (mg) atezolizumab (MPDL3280A) on Day 1 of 21-day cycles until disease progression. Eligible participants will be categorized in to three groups as follows: 1. Participants with no prior chemotherapy for advanced disease; 2. Participants who progress during or following a prior-platinum based chemotherapy regimen for advanced disease (2L+participants); 3. Participants who are 2L+ and previously treated for brain metastases.
NCT02442687
To evaluate the safety and potential efficacy of two dose levels of JKB-121 (5 mg twice daily and 10 mg twice daily) in reducing liver fat and/or liver biochemistry compared to placebo in patients with biopsy-proven nonalcoholic steatohepatitis
NCT00594022
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a small electrical current to the vestibular nerve (balance organ) will decrease the time it take for participants to fall asleep.
NCT02398188
This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study evaluating the safety and efficacy of LIPO-202 for the reduction of central abdominal bulging due to subcutaneous fat in non-obese subjects.
NCT03223792
This clinical trial will evaluate stool consistency in infants receiving one of two study formulas through a 14-day feeding period.
NCT03234439
Chronic pain is becoming increasingly more prevalent worldwide. High rates of co-morbid psychological distress are also commonly found among individuals living with chronic pain. Often requiring a multi-modal treatment approach, a growing body of literature suggests that digital behavioral health interventions and tools may serve as promising complementary options to help individuals cope with the pain.
NCT01609257
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the norovirus vaccine is effective in preventing acute gastroenteritis due to the experimental human Norovirus GII.4 challenge dose. The purpose is also to evaluate the safety of the vaccine and the immunogenicity of the vaccine.
NCT01587651
This is a Phase 4, multicenter, open-label (blinded Pharmacodynamic PD results), randomized, 3-arm, parallel-design study of subjects with stable Coronary Artery Disease CAD. This study will compare the PD effect of prasugrel 10 mg QD (once-daily) maintenance dose with ticagrelor 90 mg BID (twice daily) maintenance dose in subjects with stable CAD who have previously received ticagrelor loading does (LD) and maintenance dose (MD)..
NCT02583165
To evaluate the safety and tolerability of MEDI1873 in adult subjects with selected advanced solid tumors.
NCT03793348
Study evaluating the efficacy of a micro coring device for the treatment of moderate to severe check wrinkles
NCT02614560
This study will examine the safety and anti-leukemic profile of SGN-CD33A (vadastuximab talirine) in patients with relapsed chemo-resistant AML, who are given vadastuximab talirine in sequence with standard treatments before a planned stem cell transplant, or as maintenance therapy after a stem cell transplant. The main purpose of the study is to find the best dose and determine the anti-leukemic activity of vadastuximab talirine, given either pre- or post-allogeneic stem cell transplant (alloSCT) for adults with relapsed or refractory AML. This will be determined by assessing the safety and tolerability of vadastuximab talirine. In addition, the pharmacokinetic profile and anti-leukemic activity of the study treatment will be assessed.
NCT01420081

The Aspen™ device will be evaluated using Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) improvement and success of fusion.
NCT02717949
There still remains the question if hepatitis C eradication with all oral therapy will lead to a regression or cure of the low grade lymphoma. Thus, the hypothesis of this study is that oral HCV therapy will lead to a high rate of hepatitis C eradication which will correlate with a reduction of the size and extent of low-grade lymphoma. The hypothesis of this study is that subjects with hepatitis C,regardless of genotype, who have low grade lymphoma, when treated for hepatitis C without pegylated interferon will have a regression of low grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In this pilot study we will evaluate the effect of Sofosbuvir/ledipasvir or sofosbuvir/ribavirin based antiviral therapy on the course of a subset of HCV-related low grade B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma Primary Objective This study will assess the safety, as measured by adverse events, in subjects receiving hepatitis C treatment. Secondary Objective The secondary objective of this study is to assess the rate of overall response of B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma defined as either as partial response or complete response according to revised international working group criteria for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Primary Endpoint Safety and tolerability of sofosbuvir/ledipasvir or sofosbuvir/ribavirin in subjects with B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma will be assessed by number of adverse events and serious adverse events. In addition, the study will assess the number of subjects who had to stop treatment due to adverse events or serious adverse events. The study will also examine the number of subjects in which treatment for lymphoma had to be given due to clinical progression. Secondary Endpoints The secondary endpoint(s) of this study is to (1) Assess the rate of overall response of B-cell Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma defined as either as partial response or complete response according to revised international working group criteria for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. (2) Determine the rate of sustained viral response in subjects with low-grade lymphoma.
