NCT00441090
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy, safety and tolerability, of AKR-501 (avatrombopag) tablets, as compared to placebo, in the treatment of participants with chronic Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP).
NCT01999920
The purpose of this study is to determine whether Vilazodone (Viibryd), an SSRI and 5HT1a receptor agonist, is effective in treating Adult Separation Anxiety Disorder over a 12-week treatment course.
NCT02327013
The purpose is to determine the effect of vortioxetine treatment on ADHD symptoms in adult patients with ADHD in a 12 weeks study.
NCT03455660
The objective is to retrospectively gather peri-operative data on neonatal outcomes, primarily neonatal acid-base status, based on umbilical cord gas analysis, for the 23 months preceding and 23 months following the conduct of the "tilt versus supine study". The investigators hypothesize that there will be no difference in mean neonatal umbilical artery base excess in neonates delivered by cesarean section during the period before and after conduct of the study, for elective, urgent and emergent deliveries.
NCT00483678
RATIONALE: A couples therapy program may enhance intimacy and reduce psychological distress in patients with prostate cancer and in their partners. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well couples therapy enhances intimacy and reduces psychological distress in patients with advanced or recurrent prostate cancer and in their partners.
NCT03324997
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of using Restylane Silk to reduce the appearance of photoaging on the chest. Restylane Silk is a temporary hyaluronic acid filler currently approved for the lips and fine lines around the mouth. This study will compare the appearance of chest wrinkles on half the chest treated with Restylane Silk and the other half, which will be treated with placebo.
NCT01093482
The objective of this study is to obtain a better understanding of the spectrum of use of mechanical ventilation in intensive care units: 1. Main analysis: To know the all-cause mortality rate in mechanically ventilated patients 2. Secondary analyses: * To know the current status of mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit and determine the number and percentage of patients who are admitted to an intensive care unit and require mechanical ventilation. * To compare the results with prior data collected in previous observational studies (1998 and 2004) * Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation * Weaning * Use of adjuvant therapies as steroids or selective digestive decontamination * Sedation including prevalence of delirium in mechanically ventilated patients * Prediction of the duration of mechanical ventilation * Other
NCT00115349
The purpose of this study is to determine whether left ventricular function improves more rapidly with deferoxamine (DFO) and deferiprone (L1) combination therapy than with DFO monotherapy in patients with thalassemia and decreased ejection fractions. Secondary aims include evaluating changes in myocardial iron burden using T2\* and estimating the relative incidence and severity of chelator-induced toxicity.
NCT00832299
A Phase II open- labeled, prospective study to determine the efficacy of pre-operative chemotherapy with six cycles of modified FOLFOX 6 followed by total mesorectal excision (TME) followed by an additional six cycles of FOLFOX 6. The objectives of this study are the following: 1. The primary endpoint of this trial is pathologic complete response (response rate). 2. Secondary endpoints will include observation of overall pathologic response rate, correlation of pathologic staging with pre-operative ultrasound and pelvic MRI staging, as well as observation of toxic side effects, patterns of disease relapse, disease-free survival outcomes and overall survival outcomes.
NCT00077064
RATIONALE: Captopril is a drug that may be able to decrease side effects caused by radiation therapy, and may improve the quality of life of patients with non-small cell lung cancer or limited-stage small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying how well captopril works in decreasing side effects and improving the quality of life in patients who have received radiation therapy with or without chemotherapy for stage I, stage II, or stage IIIB non-small cell lung cancer or limited-stage small cell lung cancer.
NCT00305864
This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of motexafin gadolinium when given together with temozolomide and radiation therapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with newly diagnosed supratentorial glioblastoma multiforme or gliosarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Motexafin gadolinium may help temozolomide work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Motexafin gadolinium may also make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving motexafin gadolinium together with temozolomide and radition therapy may kill more tumor cells.
NCT02116803
The study allowed continued safety follow-up of patients who were on single agent dovitinib or dovitinib in combination with fulvestrant treatment in a Novartis-sponsored study which had met its primary endpoint and were benefiting from the treatment as judged by the investigator.
NCT02823951
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the proportion of patients who demonstrate no medical need to discontinue therapy among DMT-naïve patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis after 1 year of treatment with Rebif 44 mcg tiw or with Tecfidera 240 mg bid based on real-world data.
NCT01092611
The purpose of this long-term follow-up study is to assess the long-term health status of HIV-infected subjects who previously participated in GSK-sponsored trials evaluating the investigational HIV vaccine 732462. This study will provide additional data concerning the long-term benefits/risks associated with vaccination. No vaccine will be administered during the study period. Vaccines were administered during the primary studies.
NCT00299494
The purpose of the study is to determine the tolerability, the initial safety profile and maximum tolerated dose, and to obtain preliminary information on the antitumor activity of inotuzumab ozogamicin \[CMC-544\] in combination with rituximab in subjects with follicular, diffuse large B-Cell, or mantle cell NHL.
