NCT01475721
The purpose of this study is to assess whether the risk of serious asthma-related events (asthma-related hospitalizations, endotracheal intubations, and deaths) in adolescents and adults (12 years of age and older) taking inhaled fluticasone propionate/salmeterol combination is the same as those taking inhaled fluticasone propionate alone. ADVAIR™ and FLOVENT™ are trademarks of the GlaxoSmithKline Group of Companies.
NCT02254408
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of presatovir on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) viral load in autologous or allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) recipients with an acute RSV upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), the effect of presatovir on development of lower respiratory tract complication, being free of any supplemental oxygen progression to respiratory failure, and pharmacokinetics (PK), safety, and tolerability of presatovir.
NCT02297386
The purpose of this study is to test the ability of a new PET scan radiotracer, called FDHT (stands for \[18F\] Dihydro-Testosterone), to better find and monitor prostate cancer. Radiotracers are a type of drug that carries small amounts of radioactivity that can be seen by the PET scanner. FDHT is a radiotracer that looks for a protein which is present in almost all prostate cancer cells. The investigators want to find out if we can find and monitor changes in cancer using a FDHT PET scan.
NCT03215992
This study is looking to see if a new device, diffuse optical tomography (DOT), can detect prostate cancer. The investigators will also see if DOT can tell the difference between high risk and low risk prostate cancers.
NCT02558894
A Phase II Open-Label, Multi-Center Study of MEDI4736 Evaluated as Single Agent or in Combination with Tremelimumab in Patients with Metastatic Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma.
NCT03050151
To collect data on actual-use to assess technical performance and user injections of dupilumab auto-injection device by patients with atopic dermatitis (AD).
NCT00160524
An open-label follow-on safety study of CDP870 (400 mg every 4 weeks) in patients with Crohn's Disease who have completed a 26-week blinded study (CDP870-031 \[NCT00152490\] or CDP870-032 \[NCT00152425\]).
NCT03306654
Participants will be randomly assigned between three well-being programs, and assessed with questionnaires before and after the 8-week program, as well as 1-month after the end of the program.
NCT00717236
This is a Phase IIIb multicenter study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of certolizumab pegol (CZP) administered to patients with moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis.
NCT00993668
The purpose of this trial is to assess the affect of Certolizumab Pegol (CZP) treatment on antibody response to T cell-independent and T cell-dependent immunizations using pneumococcal and influenza vaccines, respectively.
NCT01462344
The purpose of this study is to assess whether the risk of serious asthma-related events (asthma-related hospitalizations, endotracheal intubations, and deaths) in children 4-11 years old taking inhaled fluticasone propionate/salmeterol combination is the same as those taking inhaled fluticasone propionate alone.
NCT02167113
This non-interventional clinical study will be conducted to prospectively collect serial plasma samples from subjects with chronic HBV infection who are initiating antiviral therapy. These samples will be used to estimate clinical utility endpoints for the Aptima HBV Quant assay, which is used as an aid in the management of HBV-infected patients undergoing HBV antiviral therapy.
NCT03613558
The purpose of this study is to assess whether intravenous peri-operative Dexmedetomidine reduces opioid requirements and or improves pain control after Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
NCT00200382
The purpose of this study is to develop new treatments that will hopefully result in the relief of symptoms and prolongation of life. For this reason, your doctors have offered you treatment with a new experimental drug called PS 341.
NCT02360163
The purpose of this study is to reduce, by using the ultrasound guided technique, the minor surgical procedures that might be required to deliver fluids into the blood of critically ill patients simply because the patients' veins cannot be located through the manual technique.
NCT00753454
The purpose of this study is to continue to assess the safety of certolizumab pegol in combination with methotrexate (MTX).
NCT01313650
This is a phase III multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GSK573719/GW642444 Inhalation Powder, GSK573719 Inhalation Powder, GW642444 Inhalation Powder and Placebo when administered once-daily via a Novel Dry Powder Inhaler over a 24-week treatment period in subjects with COPD. Subjects who meet eligibility criteria at Screening (Visit 1) will complete a 7 to14 day run-in period followed by a randomization visit (Visit 2) then a 24-week treatment period. There will be a total of 9 clinic study visits. A follow-up phone contact for adverse event assessment will be conducted approximately one week after the last study visit (Visit 9 or Early Withdrawal). The total duration of subject participation in the study will be approximately 27 weeks. A subset of subjects at selected sites will also perform 24-hour serial spirometry and Holter monitoring during the study and provide serial blood samples for pharmacokinetic analysis. Sparse pharmacokinetic sampling for population pharmacokinetic analyses will be obtained from non-subset subjects. The primary measure of efficacy is clinic visit trough (pre-bronchodilator and pre-dose) FEV1 on Treatment Day 169. Safety will be assessed by adverse events, 12-lead ECGs, vital signs, clinical laboratory tests, and 24 hour Holter monitoring (subset only).
NCT00829413
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the Sensitivity and Specificity of SonoVue®-enhanced ultrasound is superior to that of unenhanced ultrasound for the characterization of benign versus malignant FLLs using final diagnosis based on histology or combined imaging (CE-CT and/or CE MRI)/clinical data as truth standard.
NCT02301975
This study is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group, multicenter, non-inferiority study. The study will enroll adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects who are currently receiving mid dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) plus long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) (equivalent to fluticasone propionate \[FP\]/salmeterol 250/50 microgram \[mcg\]twice daily \[BD\]), either via a fixed dose combination product or through separate inhalers. The study consists of a LABA washout period of 5 days and a run-in period of 4 weeks, followed by a treatment period of 24 weeks, and a follow up contact period of one week. The total duration of the study is 30 weeks. Approximately 1461 subjects will be randomized to one of the following three treatments (487 per treatment): fluticasone furoate (FF)/vilanterol (VI) 100/25 mcg once daily (OD) in the evening (PM) via ELLIPTA™ inhaler plus placebo BD via ACCUHALER™/DISKUS™; FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler; FP 250 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler. In addition, all subjects will be supplied with albuterol/salbutamol inhalation aerosol to use as needed to treat acute asthma symptoms. This study will determine if FF/VI 100/25 mcg OD via ELLIPTA inhaler is non-inferior to FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler in adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects already adequately controlled on a twice-daily ICS/LABA. SERETIDE, ELLIPTA, ACCUHALER, RELVAR, and DISKUS are trademarks of the GlaxoSmithKline Group of Companies.
