This is a Phase 1/2a study to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of an orally-administered medication to relieve symptoms of constipation associated with Parkinson's Disease. Ten patients will be enrolled in Phase 1, and will be studied over an 8-12 week period. Forty patients will be enrolled in Phase 2, and will be studied over an 8-10 week period. All subjects will receive the study drug during one of the observational periods of the study.

The purpose of this research study is to test the effect of early exoskeletal-assisted walking (EAW) training (combined into regular acute inpatient rehabilitation (AIR)) on improving functional recovery and reducing pain and inflammation. Powered exoskeletons are a technology that offer standing and walking for certain persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) who meet the using indication of the device and have been used in the chronic SCI population with positive benefits in ability to move, daily function (such as bathing and dressing), body composition (such as lean and fat tissue mass), and quality of life (QOL). Despite the potential for EAW to promote functional recovery and reduce secondary medical complications (such as urinary tract infections and pain), no reports exist on the use of exoskeletons in AIR.

The colonic microbiome is essential in health and disease, and is highly dynamic during the first several years of life. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and histamine-2 receptor antagonists (H2RAs) are widely used in children, but the effects of PPIs and H2RAs on the pediatric colonic microbiome are unknown. This study will determine whether acid suppression with these medications affects the microbiome of otherwise healthy children who are prescribed acid suppression for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and determine the duration and magnitude of microbiome changes.

Currently, there are no efficacious behavioral treatment approaches to address uncompensated aspiration, or aspiration without appropriate cough response, in Parkinson's disease (PD). This is of particular public health concern given that aspiration pneumonia is the leading cause of death in persons with PD. The overarching aim of the proposed study is to determine the efficacy of two distinct intensive rehabilitation paradigms, expiratory muscle strength training (EMST) and sensorimotor treatment for airway protection (smTAP), on airway protective clinical outcomes in persons with PD and dysphagia. The investigators anticipate the results will lead to reductions in the risks associated with airway protective deficits.

The purpose of this observational research study is to follow participants who have been treated with either bel-sar or received alternate treatment (sham, standard of care therapy, etc.) while participating in a previous Aura Biosciences clinical research study to assess the long-term safety and effectiveness in these subjects. This study will collect information from procedures conducted as part of routine follow-up eye care and cancer care. Additionally, the registry will collect all adverse events, information about pregnancy and symptomatic overdose.

The main aim of this study is to check if repeated subcutaneous (SC) injections of lanadelumab can prevent angioedema attacks in teenagers and adults with non-histaminergic angioedema with normal C1-INH. Another aim is to check if they tolerate the repeated SC injections. Participants will receive a SC injection of lanadelumab every two weeks for 26 weeks. The first two doses of lanadelumab will be given at the study clinic. Once a participant (and/or parent/caregiver) has been appropriately trained, lanadelumab can be self-injected. Visits to the study clinic are planned for the first, third and fourth week and then every 4 weeks.

This will be a prospective, randomized, single-blinded controlled trial in which the investigators evaluate post-operative serum glucose control using conventional point-of-care glucose monitoring in the morning and before meals (standard of care) versus continuous glucose monitoring using the Medtronic Guardian™ Sensor 3 continuous glucose monitor. The investigators will compare the average daily glucose level in the post-operative period (through post-operative day five) between the two arms in patients with diabetic nephropathy immediately post-renal transplant. This will serve as a pilot study to in order to power a main study.

This study is a Phase 1-2 open-label dose escalation study of the immuno-activating monoclonal antibody APX005M administered in combination with nivolumab to adult subjects with non-small cell lung cancer or metastatic melanoma. The Phase 1 portion is intended to establish the maximum tolerated dose and the recommended phase 2 dose of APX005M when administered in combination with nivolumab. The Phase 2 portion of the study will evaluate safety and efficacy of the combination.

Adults with narcolepsy who have completed the TAK-994-1501 study will be able to take part in this study. The main aim of this study is to check if participants have side effects from TAK-994. Participants will take one of 3 different TAK-994 dose for 8 weeks. Then, half the participants will continue with their dose of TAK-994 and half will take a placebo. In this study, a placebo will look like a TAK-994 tablet but will not have any medicine in it. Participants will take TAK-994 or placebo for 4 weeks. Participants will visit the clinic for a final check-up 2 weeks after their last dose of TAK-994 or placebo. The study doctors will check for side effects from TAK-994 and placebo throughout the study. Participants will continue to record any narcolepsy symptoms as they did in Part B of the TAK 994-1501 study.
