NCT01415752
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Others interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as bendamustine hydrochloride, also work in different ways to kill cancer cells or stop them from dividing. Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Lenalidomide may stop the growth of mantle cell lymphoma by blocking blood flow to the cancer. It is not yet known whether giving rituximab together with bendamustine and bortezomib is more effective than rituximab and bendamustine, followed by rituximab alone or with lenalidomide in treating mantle cell lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial studies rituximab, bortezomib, bendamustine, and lenalidomide in treating previously untreated older patients with mantle cell lymphoma.
NCT01604512
This study will examine if MRI perfusion and PET/CT can tell growing tumor and radiation injury apart. MRI perfusion looks at the blood vessels in the tumor. PET/CT looks if the tumor cells are actively growing. The investigators will do these two tests and see which one is better. Patients will remain on study until the completion of either the MRI perfusion or PET/CT that are within 12 weeks of each other. After one of these scans, the patient will have no active interventions and will be off study. Optional: Restriction Spectrum Imaging (RSI) Sequence RSI sequence is an advanced way of looking at your brain. The scan allows doctors to see how water is moving within brain tumors or within brain cells. The extra sequence takes additional 4-5 minutes in the scanner. The RSI sequence is optional. The patient will only be asked to participate if the doctor believes that it will be helpful. Off study: Patients will remain on study until the completion of either the MRI perfusion or PET/CT that are within 12 weeks of each other. After one of these scans, the patient will have no active interventions and will be off study. Patients will obtain a standard of care brain MRI scan about every 2-3 months. These MRI scans will be used to track disease progression.
NCT03106779
The purpose of this pivotal study was to compare the efficacy of asciminib (ABL001) with that of bosutinib in the treatment of patients with CML-CP having previously been treated with a minimum of two prior ATP-binding site TKIs. Patients intolerant to the most recent TKI therapy must have had BCR-ABL1 ratio \> 0.1% IS at screening and patients failing their most recent TKI therapy must have met the definition of treatment failure as per the 2013 European LeukemiaNet (ELN) recommendations. Patients with documented treatment failure as per 2013 ELN recommendations while on bosutinib treatment had the option to switch to asciminib treatment within 96 weeks after the last patient has been randomized on study.
NCT03625921
Individuals living with Transfemoral Amputation, enrolled equally at the Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System (VANYHHS) and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), will be fit with a powered ankle-foot prosthesis. All subjects will undergo a full gait analysis, functional measures, neurocognitive/cognitive, and pain assessment at baseline utilizing their current passive prosthesis. Subjects will then be randomly assigned into 2 equal groups: Powered device with an 8-session intensive, device-specific PT intervention (Group A); or powered device with current standard of practice (Group B), with includes basic device education, but no PT intervention. Subjects in Group A will undergo a 4-week PT-based intervention, which will isolate the contribution of device specific effects from rehabilitation effects. Group B will receive the current standard of practice, which does not include any formal rehabilitation. All users will undergo a full gait analysis, functional measures, neurocognitive/cognitive, and pain assessment after 4- and 8-weeks of use.
NCT05467917
The goal of this project is to understand the household level transmission dynamics and factors that predict transmission of SARS-COV-2 between pediatric and adults in the household. The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has spread all around the world and testing has posed a challenge globally. Not much is known about who does and does not acquire SARS-CoV2. It is also unknown who will show symptoms or progress severe disease or death from COVID-19. Children tend to have milder symptoms or none at all. Therefore, few children have ever been tested, so it is unknown if they get the infection as much as anyone else. Health care providers are highly exposed, and they do not get tested unless they show severe symptoms. If groups like children and health workers are infected, they can unknowingly spread SARS-CoV-2, unless they practice behaviors like self-isolation very strictly. The investigators aim to measure the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 in children and health care workers at a large urban health center. The investigators will also measure how many people in the household of the positive children and health care workers also get SARS-CoV-2 infection. Lastly, the investigators will see what other risk factors affect who acquires SARSCoV-2 from inside or outside of the household clusters.
NCT03290534
This is a feasibility study to determine the usefulness of a brachytherapy device that utilizes active components (palladium-103) of standard devices in a novel configuration, which may benefit lung cancer patients by reducing the radiation dose to critical structures, such as the heart wall, while giving a therapeutic dose to diseased tissue, such as at a surgical margin.

NCT01802034
A central goal of this data repository is to collect data from a large population of subjects with a variety of renal disease states. Cohorts will include subjects with diabetes, inflammatory/autoimmune and transplant related renal conditions. Additionally, the repository will have the capacity to store biospecimens and electronic data in control subjects without established renal disease. This initiative will provide an opportunity to compare data from various disease states and controls with the objective of determining clinical and biological factors that predict disease progression, response to therapy and identify discriminating noninvasive clinical and biological features that predict renal biopsy findings.
NCT05439616
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) consists of deficits in social, communication, and cognitive development, repetitive and stereotypic behaviors. Many ASD patients show notably high levels of irritability, including verbal and physical aggression, self injury, and/or property destruction. Autistic infants tend to avoid eye contact and show little interest in others. This study will assess how safe and effective cariprazine is in treating pediatric participants (5 to 17 years of age) with ASD. Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Cariprazine is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of irritability due to ASD. This study is double-blinded means that neither the participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given cariprazine and who will be given placebo (does not contain treatment drug). Study doctors put the participants in 1 of the 2 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Approximately 152 participants diagnosed with ASD will be enrolled in approximately 40 sites globally. Participants will receive oral capsules or oral solution of cariprazine or placebo once daily for 8-weeks and will undergo a 4-week safety follow-up period. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

NCT05206357
The most common types of mature B-cell lymphomas (MBLs) in children are Burkitt lymphoma (BL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Initial treatment cures 90% - 95% of children with these malignancies, leaving a very small population of relapsed/refractory disease with a poor prognosis. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of epcoritamab in pediatric participants with relapsed/refractory aggressive mature B-cell neoplasms and young adult participants with Burkitt's or Burkitt-like lymphoma/leukemia. Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Epcoritamab is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of relapsed/refractory aggressive mature B-cell neoplasms. Participants will receive subcutaneous (SC) of epcoritamab. Approximately 15 pediatric participants with a diagnosis of relapsed/refractory aggressive mature B-cell neoplasms and and young adult participants, ages of 18-25, with a diagnosis of Burkitt's or Burkitt-like lymphoma/leukemia will be enrolled at 50 sites globally. Participants will receive subcutaneous epcoritamab in 28-day cycles. Participants will be followed for a minimum of 3 years after enrollment. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The effect of the treatment will be frequently checked by medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires and side effects.

NCT06351098
To examine the relations between sleep (nap transitions, sleep physiology), memory, and brain development longitudinally, the researchers will assess n=180 children (in order to acquire n=152 usable data sets) who are 36-54 months of age and habitual nappers at enrollment. In each wave, the researchers will assess memory, memory change over a nap and equivalent waking interval, sleep physiology of the nap, and brain structure and function (using Magnetic Resonance Imagining or MRI). Additionally, overnight sleep physiology will be assessed in all participants. Waves will take place approximately every 6 months. For all children, three waves will be collected. With these data, the researchers will address the following aims: * Examine neural markers that predict the sleep transition (Aim 1); * Examine changes in sleep-dependent memory processing (mnemonic discrimination) over both nap and overnight sleep intervals, across the sleep transition (Aim 2); * Examine changes in sleep microstructure in both nap and overnight sleep across the sleep transition (Aim 3) * Examine interrelations among brain, memory and sleep microstructure across the sleep transition (Aim 4)
NCT06264700
This study is for caregivers of young children with sickle cell disease and adolescents with sickle cell disease who are currently prescribed hydroxyurea and are receiving care at one of the study sites. The study will assess retention and engagement during a pilot randomized control trial comparing video directly observed therapy (VDOT) to attention control. We also hope to understand more about patient and family preferences longer-term adherence monitoring and intervention. Participants will use an electronic adherence monitor (provided by the study team) to measure how often they are taking their hydroxyurea. Participants will also be asked to complete questionnaires throughout the study period to provide information about their expectations for, experience with, and satisfaction with the study materials.
