NCT05974202
The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the effects of active repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to sham (placebo) rTMS prior to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as a treatment for adults with cocaine use disorder. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Is rTMS safe and feasible as an augmentation for CBT for the treatment of cocaine use disorder? * What is the brain mechanism of rTMS? * Will active rTMS (compared to sham rTMS) followed by CBT help adults with cocaine use disorder achieve abstinence from cocaine? Participants will: * Have two brain MRI scans; * Undergo 3 weeks of daily rTMS (or sham) treatments (15 sessions), and; * Have 12 weeks of once-weekly cognitive-behavioral therapy for the treatment of cocaine use disorder. Researchers will compare active (real) rTMS to sham (placebo) rTMS. All participants will receive cognitive-behavioral therapy. The former principle investigator, Dr. Derek Blevins, has vacated his position (February 2025), and has transferred the principle investigator role to Dr. John Mariani, the STARS Clinic Director.
NCT05353296
The primary objective of the proposed study is to examine the effectiveness of a culturally adapted digital program of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) compared to minimally enhanced usual care (mEUC) on primary outcomes: reduction in insomnia symptoms at 9 weeks and 6 months post-intervention, using a standard scale among Spanish-Speaking Latina/o adults with chronic insomnia.
NCT06463340
The purpose of this study is to learn about the effects of a new study drug, called SGR-3515 that may be a treatment for advanced solid tumors.
NCT06192927
This study is testing a drug called TenoMiR that is being developed for the treatment of tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis). The study drug is a new compound that works by improving the quality of the collagen which helps repair damage to the elbow. The study drug is being developed in the hope of providing a more reliable treatment than those currently available and can be given at the time of first diagnosis, so that recovery can begin as soon as possible. The study drug has been tested in humans in an earlier study, and appeared to be safe and well-tolerated. This study aims to test the study drug in a larger number of participants.
NCT05020028
The purpose of this study is to see if cannabidiol (CBD) orally dissolving tablets (ODTs) can lessen pain, improve function, and improve patient satisfaction in cases of knee osteoarthritis. CBD comes from the cannabis plant and is non-psychoactive (i.e. does not produce a 'high' or altered mental state) as compared to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), another compound found in cannabis. Researchers are studying different forms of CBD for potential use in treating pain, inflammation, and illnesses.
NCT03649724
The LUCINDA Trial is a three-site, phase II, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of leuprolide acetate (Eligard) in women with Mild Cognitive Impairment or Alzheimer's Disease taking a stable dose of a cholinesterase inhibitor medication like donepezil. Its objective is to assess the efficacy of a 48-week regimen of leuprolide (22.5 mg per 12 weeks) compared to placebo on cognitive function, global function and plasma and neuroimaging biomarkers.
NCT05369000

NCT05064306
The researchers are doing this study to provide access to treatment with 131I-omburtamab for children and young adults who have CNS/leptomeningeal neoplasms. 131I-omburtamab is an investigational drug; the FDA has not approved it to treat this cancer or any other disease. However, the agency has granted the drug Breakthrough Therapy Designation for the treatment of neuroblastoma with CNS metastases.
NCT03706261
The study employs tau positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in a well-characterized multi-racial/ethnic cohort to examine the extent to which tau pathology is associated with cognition, differences in tau pathology across racial/ethnic groups, and the relationship between MRI markers of small-vessel cerebrovascular disease and tau pathology. The study also investigates amyloid-dependent tau spreading.
NCT04340752
Rotator cuff re-tear is a common delayed complication of arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. This process of re-tear is multifactorial and there has not been any readily identifiable perioperative measure that is predictive of subsequent rotator cuff failure. There have been no human studies looking at intraoperative assessment of rotator cuff vascularity, nor the predictive value that vascularity may have for rotator cuff re-tear. Indocyanine Green (ICG) has been safely used in patients for visualization purposes and has real potential for identifying vascularity in arthroscopic surgical patients. The aim of this study is to establish a standard dosing protocol for ICG in the arthroscopic visualization of rotator cuff vascularity.
NCT06950983
Aim 1: Refine the HRSN navigation model to integrate a digital platform (Findhelp.org) to meet the needs of AYAs. The investigators will conduct iterative co-design sessions with AYAs and caregivers to understand their views on the existing Findhelp.org website and the likely need for other human-to-human and digital strategies to augment platform engagement (e.g., text reminders) and to address vocational needs. Aim 2: Evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of the refined hybrid intervention that includes digital + person-to-person HRSN navigation. Aim 3: Explore the preliminary impact of the refined hybrid intervention, compared to elevated usual care (a one-time referral to FindHelp.org alone), on reduction in financial distress (AYA and caregiver) and on AYA global health (i.e., mental, social, physical).
NCT06181604
The primary objective of this study is to establish an IL-6 concentration cutoff and optimal time point(s) for using Symphony IL-6 that predict 28-day mortality in patients who are admitted or are intended to be admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) diagnosed with sepsis or septic shock.
NCT06481033
Few treatments target core features of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in Veterans. Real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging neurofeedback can provide information regarding brain activation associated with suicide-specific rumination, defined as a "repetitive mental fixation on one's suicidal thoughts and intentions." The goal of this feasibility study is for Veterans to learn strategies for modulating activity within brain regions that have been demonstrated to contribute to the maintenance of rumination, as they receive neurofeedback feedback signals from the brain.
NCT05349721
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of PTC857 treatment in participants diagnosed with ALS.
NCT06449378
The purpose of RECOVER is to evaluate the performance and safety of Transorb™ self-gripping resorbable mesh in high-risk subjects (at least one risk factor impairing wound healing) when used for reinforcement of abdominal wall soft tissues in procedures involving open extraperitoneal ventral hernia repair, in clean (US); and clean and clean-contaminated (Europe) surgical fields (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Classification I and II. Data from this study will primarily be used to support market approval and European post-market clinical follow-up needs. Secondarily, data will be used for product marketing, future product development, and to support market release and maintenance in global geographies.
NCT05403385
The study will first determine the optimal dose of inupadenant to be given in combination with carboplatin and pemetrexed to patients that progressed after receiving first line anti-PD(L)1 treatment for locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The efficacy and safety of the combination is then compared to standard of care carboplatin and pemetrexed in the same populations.
NCT05658497
The primary objectives of the study are to estimate the risk of major congenital malformations (MCMs) in infants born to women with multiple sclerosis (MS) who were exposed to diroximel fumarate (DRF) at any time from 2 weeks after the first day of their last menstrual period (LMP) up through the first trimester of pregnancy and to comparatively evaluate pregnancy outcomes with MCMs in women with MS who were exposed to DRF at any time from 2 weeks after the first day of their LMP through the first trimester of pregnancy with the following: i) women with MS who were unexposed to disease modifying therapies (DMTs) and, ii) women with MS who were exposed to other DMTs (e.g., Avonex and Tysabri Pregnancy Registries). The secondary objective of the study is to evaluate pregnancy outcomes in women with DRF exposure at any time from 2 weeks after the first day of their LMP through the end of pregnancy compared with the following: i) women with MS who were unexposed to DMTs, ii) women with dimethyl fumarate (DMF) exposure, iii) women with MS who were exposed to other DMTs (e.g., Avonex and Tysabri Pregnancy Registries), and iv) women without MS (e.g., women from external, general population comparators).
