NCT00969709
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of Levomilnacipran ER fixed doses versus placebo in the treatment of outpatients with major depressive disorder.
NCT00620139
This pilot study seeks to evaluate the feasibility of measuring the proximal effects of concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CRT) on the expression of potential therapeutic target molecules in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC). Specifically, this study proposes to evaluate the extent to which CRT induces the differential expression of components along two critical, and potentially interdependent, molecular pathways: the arachidonic acid and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling pathways.
NCT00016237
RATIONALE: Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill tumor cells. Monoclonal antibodies can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Interleukin-2 combined with a monoclonal antibody may be an effective treatment for kidney, bladder, or lung cancer. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of interleukin-2 combined with a monoclonal antibody in treating patients who have kidney, bladder, or lung cancer that has not responded to previous treatment.
NCT01218646
The aim of the study is to evaluate a prototype quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIV), the licensed 2010-2011 trivalent influenza vaccine (TIV) containing the primary B strain, and the investigational TIV containing the alternate B strain in adult subjects. Primary Objective: * To demonstrate non-inferiority of antibody responses to QIV compared with licensed 2010-2011 TIV (containing the primary B strain) and investigational TIV (containing the alternate B strain) as assessed by geometric mean titer (GMT) ratios for each of the four virus strains separately among subjects 65 years of age and older Observational Objective: * To describe the safety profiles of TIV among subjects 18 years of age and older and QIV in subjects 65 years and older, as assessed by solicited injection site and systemic adverse events (AEs) collected for 7 days post-vaccination, unsolicited adverse events collected from 21 days post-vaccination, and adverse events of special interest and serious adverse events (SAEs) collected from Visit 1 to Visit 2.
NCT01966874
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and acceptability of a regimen of 200 mg mifepristone (Zacafemyl), followed 24-48 hours later by 800 mcg of buccal misoprostol.
NCT00282256
A study to assess the pharmacokinetics, safety and effectiveness of tacrolimus in stable pediatric liver transplant patients converted from a Prograf® based immunosuppression regimen to a modified release tacrolimus based immunosuppression regimen.
NCT00581984
This study will collect 5 year data about any possible health problems associated with breast implants. This data will be used to help see if the implants are both safe and effective. If they are proven safe and effective, they will continue to be available. If they are not proven safe and effective to the satisfaction of the FDA, they may not be available in the future.
NCT00657033
Study to investigate the efficacy and safety of vardenafil flexible dose versus placebo in males with erectile dysfunction, and their female partners' sexual quality of life.
NCT00983853
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the combination of telaprevir, peginterferon alfa-2a, and ribavirin is safe and effective in treating hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in subjects who are infected with both HCV and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
NCT01292473
The study is a global Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of omalizumab administered subcutaneously as an add-on therapy for the treatment of adolescent and adult patients aged 12-75 who have been diagnosed with refractory CIU and who remain symptomatic despite standard-dosed H1 antihistamine treatment.
NCT01399580
Prospective, Randomized, Double-Blind, Parallel Design, Placebo-Controlled Multicenter Study. The study objectives are to evaluate efficacy and safety, including thoracic bioimpedance, of once daily administration of atrasentan tablets (high dose and low dose) compared to placebo in type 2 diabetic subjects with nephropathy who are receiving the maximum tolerated labeled daily dose of a RAS inhibitor.
NCT00676533
The primary objective of this clinical trial was to determine the time to improvement of the signs and symptoms (eg, dysuria, frequency, urgency, gross hematuria, suprapubic pain, hesitancy, low back pain) of acute, uncomplicated, symptomatic, lower UTIs in women treated with Cipro XR 500 mg once daily for 3 days.
NCT00066482
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effect on the body of combining cyclophosphamide with cisplatin, etoposide, and bleomycin in treating children who have newly diagnosed malignant germ cell tumors that are not in the brain and gonads.
NCT00128440
The primary objective of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of 200 μg and 400 μg of BEA 2180 BR to tiotropium 5 μg and placebo when each was delivered by the Respimat® Inhaler once daily for four weeks in patients with COPD.
NCT00665340
This study was conducted to evaluate in adult men with erectile dysfunction (often called impotence), the effect of vardenafil HCl on the quality of their erections. Many men experience occasional erectile problems during their lives. The causes of erectile dysfunction are varied and may be due to physiological or emotional reasons. This study is designed to study the responsiveness of the erection quality scale (EQS) to vardenafil HCl. In this study, vardenafil HCl will be compared to placebo. Placebo is a pill which looks like the real drug but it is not. It contains no active ingredients.
NCT00086996
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as oxaliplatin and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Oxaliplatin and fluorouracil may make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy and may kill more tumor cells. Giving chemotherapy and radiation therapy before surgery may shrink the tumor so that it can be removed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving oxaliplatin together with fluorouracil and radiation therapy works in treating patients who are undergoing surgery for stage II or stage III cancer of the esophagus or gastroesophageal junction.
NCT00633529
To evaluate the safety of the proposed Phase II dosage of the investigational drug IMO 2055 when combined with erlotinib and bevacizumab in patients with previously treated advanced NSCLC.
NCT00719199
Open-label phase 1b trial. Study treatment will be administered in 3 week cycles. There are two distinct parts in this study: * Part 1: Dose escalation from IMO-2055 * Part 2: Once a recommended phase 2 dose is found additional tolerability and pharmacodynamics will be explored
NCT00282828
This study will compare the effectiveness of either adding clonazepam or placebo to standard treatment or switching to venlafaxine in treating generalized social anxiety disorder in individuals who have not responded to treatment with sertraline.
NCT01960647
The primary objective of this prospective, Randomized, Controlled, Multicentre, Open Study is to investigate the inhibition of restenosis by the Paclitaxel-eluting Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) balloon Freeway versus PTA alone in the treatment of de-novo occluded, stenotic or reoccluded, restenotic superficial femoral (SFA) or popliteal arteries.
