NCT01257542
15 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide will be better than placebo with respect to reducing the number of coughs over 6 hours and reducing the subjective severity of cough over 6 hours.
NCT00506415
The purpose of this study was to support the optimal use of rivastigmine patch in long-term treatment of Alzheimer's Disease in patients demonstrating functional and cognitive decline at the target maintenance dose of rivastigmine patch 10 cm\^2.
NCT00639769
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as irinotecan and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: To determine if CPT-11 given together with cisplatin is effective in treating recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer.
NCT01032837
This randomized, double-blind, multi-center study of Tamiflu (Oseltamivir) will evaluate the efficacy against viral activity, the effectiveness in resolving the disease symptoms, and the safety and tolerability in patients with influenza. Patients with (H1N1) 2009 influenza strain or influenza A are eligible for this study. Patients will be randomized to one of four treatment regimens. Patients will receive oral doses of either 75 mg (adults) or 150 mg (adults) of study drug twice daily for 5 or 10 consecutive days. The dose will be body weight-adjusted for pediatric patients.
NCT01358240
This is a study of the safety and efficacy of Econazole Nitrate Foam 1% and the Foam Vehicle in subjects with interdigital tinea pedis (athlete's foot between the toes). This is a 6 week study which has a 4 week treatment period and a 2 week follow-up evaluation. The study will also utilize Econazole Nitrate Cream 1% (for safety comparison) and a Placebo cream for blinding purposes only.
NCT00651118
The purpose of this study is to determine if two allergy medications (azelastine and fluticasone) are more effective than placebo or either medication alone (azelastine or fluticasone)
NCT00912288
No Dimebon clinical data exist yet in patients with disease that has advanced to the moderate-to-severe stage. Therefore, this study evaluates the safety and efficacy of Dimebon in patients with moderate-to-severe AD who are receiving existing background therapy with memantine.
NCT00337493
This study will determine which, if any, allelic variants of mycophenolic acid (MPA) metabolizing enzymes, drug transporters and drug targets are associated with the observed variation in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic outcomes observed with CellCept usage. Patients participating in study ML17225 will be eligible for this pharmacogenetic investigation, and will have one additional blood sample taken during the study. The anticipated time on study treatment in study ML17225 is 1-2 years, and the target sample size is 500+ individuals.
NCT00604214
The purpose of this placebo-controlled study is to determine if drotrecogin alfa (activated) treatment provides significant mortality reduction improvement in patients with septic shock compared with placebo treatment in patients receiving the current standard of care for septic shock. This study will also assess the effectiveness of drotrecogin alfa (activated) in reducing 28-day mortality in patients with septic shock and concomitant severe protein C deficiency.
NCT01241331
The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and efficacy of formulation BLI1100 to its vehicle in the treatment of moderate-severe acne vulgaris.
NCT00063635
The purpose of this study is to determine if therapeutic modification of insulin resistance or oxidative stress leads to improvement in serum or histologic indicators of liver injury or quality of life.
NCT00938236
This trial is a longterm follow up of a phase III study of inhaled cyclosporine for the prevention of chronic rejection in lung transplant recipients.
NCT00796744
The purpose of this study is to assess if the experimental drug, DSC127, is safe, how well it can be tolerated, and how different doses effect the healing of the chronic foot ulcers in diabetic subjects.
NCT00164372
The purpose of this study is to test whether a six-session behavioral intervention for HIV and HCV seronegative injection drug users is effective in reducing sexual and injection risk behaviors that could lead to primary HIV and HCV infection.
NCT00147576
Test the hypothesis that increasing doses of CP-866,087 will decrease the total number of drinks consumed during a 2 hour acute alcohol consumption assessment and to determine the safety and tolerability of multiple doses of CP-866,087 in alcohol dependent subjects compared to placebo.
NCT01247818
PH-10 is an aqueous hydrogel formulation of rose bengal disodium (RB) for topical administration to the skin, and is being studied for the treatment of cutaneous skin disorders, specifically psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. This multicenter phase 2 study of subjects randomized sequentially by center to one of four treatment cohorts will assess efficacy and safety of topical PH-10 applied once daily to areas of mild to moderate plaque psoriasis.
NCT00820196
Venous leg ulcers are a common, costly and debilitating condition, with few effective treatments. Compression bandaging helps healing, but more than four out of every ten leg ulcers remain unhealed after three months. New treatments to help heal venous ulcers are urgently needed. Initial studies with a new drug product candidate called Nexagon® (developed by CoDa Therapeutics, Inc.) have shown improvements in healing when applied topically to a wound. Further research will be undertaken to assess the safety and activity of Nexagon® when applied to venous leg ulcers in humans, and to obtain further information on the most appropriate dose or doses to apply. A proposed randomised controlled trial aims to further evaluate Nexagon® by randomly allocating (e.g., by the toss of a coin) 90 people with venous leg ulcers to Nexagon® (one of two different doses) or a vehicle (substance containing no medication) to be applied to their ulcer three times over four weeks. Participants will be followed up for 12 weeks to evaluate ulcer healing.
NCT00350233
