NCT01610245
This study is a global multicenter randomized factorial double-blind, placebo-controlled trial designed to evaluate (i) efficacy and safety of nitazoxanide 600 mg administered orally twice daily for five days compared to a placebo in the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza and (ii) efficacy and safety of combination therapy with nitazoxanide 600 mg plus Oseltamivir 75 mg co-administered orally twice daily for five days compared to nitazoxanide monotherapy (600 mg b.i.d. for 5 days) and Oseltamivir monotherapy (75 mg b.i.d. for 5 days) in the treatment of acute uncomplicated influenza.
NCT01185821
This study consisted of a two year dose blinded phase during which patients received one of five doses of siponimod (10, 2, 1.25, 0.5 or 0.25mg) following which patients were switched to open label treatment with siponimod 2mg for approximately a further 3 years. It will provide data on long term safety, tolerability and efficacy of siponimod in the RRMS patient population
NCT00642603
This 2-arm study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 2 treatment regimens of Xeloda and Avastin, with either irinotecan or oxaliplatin administered for the first 12 cycles, as first line treatment in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Patients were randomized to receive 2-weekly cycles of treatment with either: 1) Xeloda, Avastin and oxaliplatin; or 2) Xeloda, Avastin and irinotecan. After 9 cycles, patients continued to receive maintenance treatment with Xeloda + Avastin. The anticipated time on study treatment was until disease progression, and the target sample size was 100-500 individuals.
NCT02487498
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the efficacy of the combination product QVA149 is similar to the efficacy of the combination product umeclidinium/vilanterol on a pre-specified endpoint of FEV1 AUC0-24h while maintaining an acceptable safety profile.
NCT02347761
This is a trial of 12 weeks of treatment with nebulized SUN-101 using an Investigational eFlow® Closed System (CS) nebulizer in subjects with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) according to the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD 2014) guidelines.
NCT00306293
Eligible subjects will be randomized to receive VALTREX 1g or placebo once daily for 60 days in a two-way crossover study with a washout period of 7 days in between.
NCT01680341
This trial is conducted in Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of the trial is to compare the efficacy and safety of two different titration algorithms for insulin degludec/insulin aspart (IDeg/IAsp) in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus previously treated with insulin glargine.
NCT00105521
The purpose of this study is to test multiple doses of sarizotan to establish a dose with maximal safety and efficacy for treating treatment associated dyskinesia in Parkinson's disease participants.
NCT00087633
This 2-arm study was designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of prophylactic PEGASYS plus COPEGUS after liver transplantation for hepatitis C, compared to initiation of antiviral therapy at the time of clinical recurrence of hepatitis C infection. The anticipated time on study treatment was 3-12 months, and the target sample size was 100-500 individuals.
NCT02215291
Prospective, multi-site registry with longitudinal follow up for patients undergoing EGD or endoscopy. The primary objective is to provide a collection of patient NvisionVLE™ procedural data for participating physicians, including, but not limited to, imaging data, clinical utility data, demographics, pathology, treatment, and surveillance.
NCT03154437
This open-label, multicenter expanded access program (EAP) is designed to provide emicizumab to eligible participants with hemophilia A with factor VIII (FVIII) inhibitors before it is commercially available in the United States for the indication of hemophilia A with FVIII inhibitors. Discontinuation may occur earlier if participant or physician decides to discontinue treatment or the sponsor discontinues emicizumab clinical development.
NCT02504008
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 24-week study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of AXS-02 in patients with CRPS-I.
NCT00067951
The purpose of this research study is to determine if a new investigational diabetes drug is safe and effective in treating people who have Type II diabetes mellitus with very high HbA1c or FPG (fasting plasma glucose) levels. The HbA1c test, also called the hemoglobin A1c test or glycated hemoglobin test, is a measurement of the average amount of sugar in the blood over the last 2 to 3 months. FPG is a test that measures the amount of sugar in the blood after an 8 hour fast.
NCT00988208
The purpose of the study is to determine whether lenalidomide is safe and effective for use in combination with docetaxel and prednisone for the treatment of subjects with metastatic Castrate-Resistant Prostate Cancer. The addition of lenalidomide to docetaxel and prednisone is proposed to increase the life expectancy of these subjects.
NCT02465450
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of JBT-101 in adult subjects with cystic fibrosis (CF).
NCT01887678
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a combined Traumeel® / Zeel® injection against placebo (saline) in patients with moderate-to-severe pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee.
NCT01520389
This study is a Phase 1 and pharmacologic open-labeled dose-escalation trial using a "3+3" design, evaluating MM-151 at varying dose levels and frequencies, and subsequently in combination with irinotecan.
NCT02483351
The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of conducting a large trial examining the effect on clinical outcome of a liberal red blood cell (RBC) transfusion strategy compared to a restrictive strategy (usual care) in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).
NCT01397825
This is a single-arm, open-label, multicenter, dose escalation, phase 1-2 study of alisertib (MLN8237) administered in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)/transformed follicular lymphoma (TFL) treated with rituximab and vincristine. The study has three parts as follows: Phase 1, Part 1: Safety lead-in cohort to evaluate alisertib (MLN8237) and rituximab. Phase 1, Part 2: Dose escalation cohort to evaluate alisertib (MLN8237) + Rituximab + Vincristine and determine Phase 2 dose. Patients with other types of B-cell lymphoma (including mantle cell or Burkitt's lymphoma may enroll in Parts 1 and 2. Phase 2: Alisertib (MLN8237) + Rituximab + Vincristine in patients with relapsed or refractory DLBCL or TFL at recommended Phase 2 dose. Note that in 2013 Sponsor decision was taken to not initiate the phase 2 portion of the trial, which would have investigated the triplet at the recommended phase 2 dose identified in part 2. This decision was based on reprioritization within the company and not on any clinical or safety outcomes observed.
NCT03445013
The objectives of this study are to assess the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety, and tolerability of SB414 in subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis.
