NCT02078674
This is a randomized, observer-blinded, placebo-controlled trial in adults 18 to 64 years old. Randomization will be stratified by age (18 to 49 years and 50 to 64 years) and by prior influenza immunization within the past three months. Subjects 18 to 49 years of age will comprise \~67% of subjects in each treatment group, and the balance will comprise subjects 50 to 64 years. Each subject will receive two identical IM doses of test article at a 21-day interval (Day 0 and Day 21), in alternate deltoids. For each subject, study follow-up will span approximately 385 days total, or approximately 13 months from the first dose.
NCT00329225
This 24-week study will compare the effects of adding the drug rosiglitazone (2mg and 4mg) or placebo to insulin in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent) who have not achieved their blood glucose goal using insulin alone. This study requires a total of seven visits during 28 weeks.
NCT00107757
The purpose of this study is to determine if the investigational drug is effective and safe in children with seasonal allergic rhinitis.
NCT00770146
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of dosing with mipomersen for 26 weeks in patients with high cholesterol who are on a maximally tolerated dose of statin and who have a diagnosis that puts them at least at high risk of coronary heart disease (CHD).
NCT02222207
Part A (Phase IIa): Primary objectives: The study part A is designed to investigate whether the use of regorafenib eye drops can help patients with neovascular (wet) Age-Related Macular Degeneration (wAMD) to see better after 4 weeks and 12 weeks after inclusion into this study. Secondary objectives: The study will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of the regorafenib eye drops. Part B (Phase IIb): Primary objectives: The study part B is designed to investigate: * how often the regorafenib eye drops need to be given per day * whether the use of regorafenib eye drops can help patients with neovascular (wet) Age-Related Macular Degeneration (wAMD) to see better after 4 weeks and 12 weeks after inclusion into this study. Secondary objectives: The study will also evaluate how the different dosings of regorafenib eye drops affect patients vision, the safety and the tolerability.
NCT02339129
This is a Phase 2, prospective, randomized, dual-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study designed to determine the dosing interval, efficacy and safety of SST-0225 (5.4 grams, applied up to 6 times in 24 hours, over a 48-hour dosing period) for the treatment of pain associated with DOMS.
NCT01358357
This is a multi-center, randomized, placebo-controlled, flexible-dose, parallel-group study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lurasidone (in combination with lithium or divalproex) for the maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder in subjects with or without rapid cycling and /or psychotic features.
NCT02912065
A retrospective chart review to assess feeding tolerance in children who had been switched from an intact protein formula to a Peptide based formula due to feeding intolerance in a pediatric facility for the developmentally delayed.
NCT00887575
This trial will examine the combination of sunitinib plus paclitaxel and carboplatin as neoadjuvant treatment for locally advanced breast cancer.
NCT00069095
This 4 arm study assessed the efficacy and safety of oral capecitabine (Xeloda) or intravenous (iv) fluorouracil/leucovorin, in combination with iv oxaliplatin (Eloxatin) with or without iv bevacizumab (Avastin), as a first-line treatment in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Patients were randomized to receive 1) XELOX (Xeloda 1000 mg/m\^2 orally \[po\] twice a day \[bid\] on Days 1-15 + oxaliplatin in 3 week cycles), 2) FOLFOX-4 (oxaliplatin + leucovorin + fluorouracil \[5-FU\] in 2 week cycles), 3) XELOX + bevacizumab (7.5 mg iv on Day 1 in 3 week cycles), or 4) FOLFOX-4 + bevacizumab (5 mg iv on Day 1 in 2 week cycles).
NCT01105962
This is an observational research study whose purposes are to see: 1. if 40 Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy sessions at 1.5 atmospheres (HBOT 1.5) or more (60, or 80 HBOT's) help, worsen, or have no effect on subjects with chronic TBI/PCS (Traumatic Brain Injury/Post-Concussion Syndrome) and/or PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). 2. if improvements or worsening of symptoms can be recorded with computerized and written tests for memory and thinking, and with questionnaires about the subject's quality of life and health. 3. determine the long-term outcome of the treatment. 4. confirm, in large numbers of study participants at multiple sites nationwide, the strong positive results obtained in pilot studies
NCT00967304
The main objective of this study is to verify whether a new clinical decision rule identifying patients diagnosed with unprovoked blood clots who have a low risk of recurrence can safely stop oral anticoagulant therapy after 5-7 months of treatment.
NCT01342484
The main objective of this study is to identify the dose of linagliptin in paediatric patients. Other efficacy objectives include the comparison of the lowering effect of linagliptin low dose, high dose and placebo on the fasting plasma glucose (FPG) observed after 12 wk of treatment. Furthermore, the study will investigate the pharmacokinetics (PK), the pharmacodynamics (PD) and the PK/PD relationship of linagliptin in the paediatric population.
NCT00404924
This study is being carried out to assess if adding ZD6474 to best supportive care (BSC) is more effective than best supportive care alone, for the treatment of patients with non-small cell lung cancer, whose disease has recurred after previous chemotherapy and an Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (EGFR TKI). ZD6474 is a new anti-cancer drug in development that works in a different way to standard chemotherapy drugs. It targets the growth of new blood vessels to a tumour and thereby might slow the rate at which the tumour may grow. Early studies indicate that ZD6474 has a positive effect on the time that a tumour may take to progress to a further stage. Approximately 930 patients will take part in this study. It will be conducted in hospitals and clinics in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
NCT00684229
This study will compare recurrence rates in patients with colorectal cancer who will be randomly assigned to epidural anesthesia/analgesia combined with general anesthesia or to general anesthesia followed by opioid analgesia.
NCT00463294
I. Main Research Question: * To compare the risks and benefits of Off-pump Coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) to On-pump CABG and to determine if one is better than the other. * The purpose of this pilot study is also to see the rate of recruitment with expertise-based randomization across different hospital settings. II. Small RCT studies and meta-analyses done so far have not been able to conclusively say which of the procedure is better. A large randomized study is required to establish the risks and benefits associated with both the off-pump and on-pump CABG surgical procedures. III. The study will look at which of the two techniques reduce major risks associated with CABG.
NCT00261365

NCT00133848
The goal of this study is to determine if topical SB-275833 ointment, 1% is more effective than a placebo ointment in the treatment of primary impetigo.
