NCT00241501
This study is a phase III, multi-centre, randomized, double-blind study to assess the safety and tolerability of once daily treatment with esomeprazole 20 or 40 mg in pediatric and adolescent patients 12 to 17 years of age, inclusive, with clinically diagnosed GERD. The treatment period will be up to 8 weeks.
NCT00206024
This is a multi-center, double-blind, parallel-group, randomized, proof of concept trial to investigate the relationship between dose of esomeprazole magnesium and acid-associated heartburn symptoms during 4 weeks of treatment. The safety and tolerability of esomeprazole magnesium in doses up to 40 mg BID will also be assessed.
NCT01126788
This study is designed to test two hypotheses: 1. The PADnet+ testing system produces clinically equivalent results as the Parks Flo-Lab testing system in a group of patients referred for evaluation of PAD of the limbs when performed by a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). 2. The PADnet+ testing system produces clinically equivalent results when the testing is repeated on the above patients and performed by staff specifically trained on the use of the PADnet+ system but are not vascular technologists nor hold the RVT certification.
NCT00228527
To look at the safety and improvement in symptoms of a once a day dosing of esomeprazole in children 1 to 11 years old with inflammation of their esophagus or food pipe ("esophagitis") caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and diagnosed by endoscopy. To verify the healing of the esophageal inflammation if the endoscopy reveals cuts in the lining of the food pipe. To collect information that will describe the psychological, social, and economic effects on the primary caregiver of raising children ages 1 to 5 years old with GERD.
NCT00225589
The purpose of this trial is to see if rosuvastatin will be effective in decreasing the thickness of the walls of the arteries in the neck for people who already have some evidence of thickening of these walls.
NCT00575458
This study is comparing two different kinds of splints for patients who have had a surgical contracture release of dupuytren's disease. It compares a static splint and a dynamic splint.
NCT00197743
This study tested the hypothesis that multivitamin supplementation given to HIV+ pregnant women in Tanzania would slow disease progression and enhance their overall health.
NCT00197678
The purpose of this study is to examine effects of daily administration of multivitamin supplements at doses resembling the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) during pregnancy to HIV positive women decreases the risks of low birth weight (\<2500 g), and pre-term birth (\< 37 weeks gestation), compared to multivitamin supplements at doses above the RDA.
NCT00634959
To investigate the effects of food and dose regimen on the antiviral effects of Maraviroc (UK-427,857) in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
NCT00066001
The purpose of this study is to determine the clinical and microbiological effects of systemically administered metronidazole alone or in combination with professional plaque removal on periodontally diseased patients.
NCT00439218
The purpose of this study is to identify the maximum tolerated dosage of sodium phenylbutyrate in children with spinal muscular atrophy type I; and to determine if the drug has an effect on SMN mRNA and protein levels.
NCT00280371
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of the investigational drug in comparison with a placebo.
NCT00215436
NCT00226330
This is a parallel-group, multi-center, long-term extension study from the GALLANT 6 study to monitor the safety and tolerability of oral tesaglitazar compared with pioglitazone in patients with type 2 diabetes for up to 104 weeks of treatment. The total duration, including treatment and follow-up, is 107 weeks.
NCT00240318
The purpose of this study is to see if 40 mg of rosuvastatin taken daily will reduce the atherosclerosis (fatty deposits) in your arteries
NCT00229710
This is a 140-week open-label, multi-center long-term extension study from GALLANT 9 to monitor the safety and tolerability of oral tesaglitazar 0.5 mg and insulin in patients with type 2 diabetes during up to 140 weeks of treatment. The total duration, including treatment and follow-up, is 143 weeks.
NCT00214565
This is a 24-week randomized, double-blind, multi-center, active-controlled (pioglitazone) study of tesaglitazar (0.5 mg and 1 mg) in patients with type 2 diabetes, not adequately controlled on diet and lifestyle advice alone during the run-in period. The study comprises a 3-week enrollment period, 6 week placebo single blind run in period followed by a 24-week double blind treatment period and a 3-week follow-up period.
NCT01008670
The primary goal of this study is to develop techniques to identify the course of the phrenic nerve in patients already undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) implantation or candidates for future CRT devices undergoing implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) or pacemaker implantation. Specifically, the study intends to identify the location and course of the left pericardiophrenic vein, and thus the left phrenic nerve, to guide the location for coronary vein lead placement and minimize the risk of phrenic nerve stimulation.
NCT00414206
This is a Phase II randomized, double-masked study comparing the safety and efficacy of ATG003 (mecamylamine HCl) 1.0% and 0.3% ophthalmic solutions to placebo in patients with neovascular ("wet") age-related macular degeneration (NV-AMD).
NCT00206063
The purpose of this study is to evaluate tolerability of long-term treatment with ximelagatran compared to standard treatment with warfarin.
