NCT00111020
This treatment protocol allows doctors to treat advanced kidney cancer with an investigational drug called sorafenib, BAY43-9006, which is being studied in clinical trials for kidney cancer and other kinds of cancer. This treatment protocol is not a clinical trial in which sorafenib is compared to another equal treatment. All patients in this protocol will be treated with sorafenib. In addition, data from the patients who participate in this protocol will provide additional information about the drug.
NCT00021242
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel, work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of docetaxel in treating children who have relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic or acute myeloid leukemia.
NCT00627926
A Phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two dosing regimens of telaprevir in combination with pegylated interferon alfa 2a (Peg-IFN-alfa-2a) and ribavirin (RBV).
NCT00003937
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. Chemoprotective drugs such as dexrazoxane may protect normal cells from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase III trial to study the effectiveness of three combination chemotherapy regimens plus dexrazoxane in treating patients who have newly diagnosed nonmetastatic osteosarcoma.
NCT00120406
The Zilver® PTX™ Drug Eluting Vascular Stent is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic vascular disease of the above-the-knee femoropopliteal artery (ranging from 4 mm to 9 mm in reference vessel diameter) for lesions up to 7 cm long. The clinical trial is stratified by lesion length. The trial will be conducted in 2 phases, with Phase 1 enrolling patients with lesions less than 7 cm long. Phase 2 of the trial will include longer lesions (up to 14 cm long) and will be initiated upon approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
NCT01599247
Specific aim #1: To assess the study team's ability to recruit subjects in this cohort and to successfully complete follow-up assessments by phone or mail. Hypothesis: Over 50% of eligible subjects will enroll in the observational study, and 70% of follow-up assessments will be successfully completed. Specific aim #2: To determine the natural history of hopelessness, ongoing suicidal thoughts, and optimism in subjects at 2, 4 and 8 weeks after discharge. Hypothesis: Subjects will continue to have moderate levels of hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, and optimism at follow-up assessments.
NCT01189253
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin hydrochloride and trabectedin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet known whether trabectedin is more effective than doxorubicin hydrochloride in treating patients with advanced or metastatic soft tissue sarcoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II/III trial is studying the safety of trabectedin compared with doxorubicin hydrochloride and to see how well they work in treating patients with advanced or metastatic soft tissue sarcoma.
NCT01995682
The study is to evaluate the feasibility of the NLA tool, a combined assessment of nutritional and physical functional status, to provide personalized advice for the independence and mobility of elderly.
NCT01113905
The investigators aim to test whether beta-endorphin, a substance our bodies make in response to painful and stressful stimuli, plays a causative role in radiation-induced fatigue that cancer patients receiving radiation therapy commonly experience. If this is so, the investigators' hope is to direct efforts at treating radiation-induced fatigue using agents that block the action of beta-endorphin with the aim of improving quality of life for patients undergoing radiation therapy
NCT01104675
The purpose of this study is to determine whether oral ENMD-2076 is effective in treatment of patients with platinum resistant ovarian, fallopian, or peritoneal cancer. Additional sites to be added.
NCT00420784
The PROVE3 trial is a partially double blinded, randomized, Phase 2 research study of an investigational drug, Telaprevir (VX-950) or Placebo, with Pegylated Interferon Alfa 2a (Peg-IFN-alfa-2a, Pegasys®), and Ribavirin (RBV, Copegus®) in people with genotype 1 hepatitis C who have not achieved a Sustained Viral Response (SVR) with a previous treatment of interferon therapy.
NCT01291901
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of intradermal delivery of NP2 on pain scores and pain medication usage in subjects with intractable pain due to malignant disease. A second purpose is to confirm safety and secondary efficacy measurements.
NCT00003096
RATIONALE: Analyzing the number and structure of genes found in a child's cancer cells may help doctors improve methods of diagnosing and treating children with brain tumors. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the number and structure of genes in cancer cells of children with brain tumors.
NCT01740895
To assess the clinical value of iFR to characterize, without concomitant administration of hyperemic agents and outside a specified range of iFR values, coronary stenosis severity as determined with fractional flow reserve (FFR)
NCT01442376
The primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of two different doses of IV palonosetron in the prevention of chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting in MEC and HEC patients through 120 hours after start of chemotherapy in single and repeated chemotherapy cycles. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of IV palonosetron in pediatric patients and evaluate the pharmacokinetics of IV palonosetron in a subset of pediatric CINV patients.
NCT00002875
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining radiation therapy with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which chemotherapy regimen is more effective when combined with radiation therapy for treating medulloblastoma. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare two combination chemotherapy treatments plus radiation therapy in treating children with newly diagnosed medulloblastoma.
NCT00883753
This study was an extension to study MA21573 \[NCT00750880\], which was an open label single arm study to investigate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of tocilizumab monotherapy, or combination therapy with non-biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDS), in patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis. Patients who completed the 24 week core study, and had at least a moderate European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) response, were eligible to enter this long-term extension study, and received tocilizumab 8 mg/kg intravenous (iv) every 4 weeks. The anticipated time on study treatment was 1-2 years, and the target sample size was \> 500 individuals.
NCT00168389
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of an intravitreal implant of dexamethasone for the treatment of diabetic macular edema.
NCT00168337
NCT01670032
This study will be a multicenter, randomized, vehicle controlled, parallel, group, double blind study. Eligible subjects with a clinical diagnosis of impetigo will be randomized to one of four treatment groups: 1.5% CD07223 Topical Gel applied BID; 1.5% CD07223 Topical Gel applied TID; Vehicle Topical Gel applied BID;Vehicle Topical Gel applied TID. All treatments will be administered for 7 days. Disease activity for the Target Lesion will be evaluated using the Skin Infection Rating Scale (SIRS) Score.
