NCT02398188
This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study evaluating the safety and efficacy of LIPO-202 for the reduction of central abdominal bulging due to subcutaneous fat in non-obese subjects.
NCT00706147
The purpose of this study will be to demonstrate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of arimoclomol in subjects with SOD1 positive familial Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This type of ALS is HEREDITARY (runs in families), and at least one other person in the family must have had ALS. Study hypotheses: Arimoclomol, taken at a dose of 200 mg three times daily will improve survival as defined by time to death, tracheostomy or permanent assisted ventilation. In addition, it will be safe and well tolerated in subjects with SOD1 positive familial ALS. Funding Source - FDA-OOPD
NCT02181127
This study will test the hypothesis that a wearable automated bionic pancreas system that automatically delivers glucagon only can prevent or treat hypoglycemia vs. usual care for people with type 1 diabetes \> 21 years old.
NCT02614560
This study will examine the safety and anti-leukemic profile of SGN-CD33A (vadastuximab talirine) in patients with relapsed chemo-resistant AML, who are given vadastuximab talirine in sequence with standard treatments before a planned stem cell transplant, or as maintenance therapy after a stem cell transplant. The main purpose of the study is to find the best dose and determine the anti-leukemic activity of vadastuximab talirine, given either pre- or post-allogeneic stem cell transplant (alloSCT) for adults with relapsed or refractory AML. This will be determined by assessing the safety and tolerability of vadastuximab talirine. In addition, the pharmacokinetic profile and anti-leukemic activity of the study treatment will be assessed.
NCT00818441
This study will explore the safety and efficacy of the oral PanHER inhibitor PF-00299804 in patients with adenocarcinoma of the lung who are either non-smokers (\<100 cigarette, cigar or pipe lifetime) or former light smokers ( less than 10 pack-years and stopped at least 15 years) or have known EGFR activating mutation; or patients with HER 2 amplification or mutation.
NCT01846871
This research study is a Phase II clinical trial, which tests the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug to learn whether the drug works in treating a specific cancer. "Investigational" means that the study drug tivozanib is still being studied. It also means that the FDA has not yet approved tivozanib for your type of cancer. Tivozanib is an anti-angiogenesis medicine that fights different types of cancer by blocking the blood supply to the tumor, so that the tumor does not receive the nutrients it requires to grow. In this research study, we are looking to see what effects, good and bad, tivozanib will have on you and your disease.
NCT03234439
Chronic pain is becoming increasingly more prevalent worldwide. High rates of co-morbid psychological distress are also commonly found among individuals living with chronic pain. Often requiring a multi-modal treatment approach, a growing body of literature suggests that digital behavioral health interventions and tools may serve as promising complementary options to help individuals cope with the pain.
NCT02148692
Postoperative respiratory failure, particularly after surgery under general anesthesia, adds to the morbidity and mortality of surgical patients. Anesthesiologists inconsistently use positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) and recruitment maneuvers in the hope that this may improve oxygenation and protect against postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs), especially in obese patients. While anesthesiologists tend to use PEEP higher than in non-obese patients. While it is uncertain whether a strategy that uses higher levels of PEEP with recruitment maneuvers truly prevents PPCs in these patients, use of higher levels of PEEP with recruitment maneuvers could compromise intra-operative hemodynamics. The investigators aim to compare a ventilation strategy using higher levels of PEEP with recruitment maneuvers with one using lower levels of PEEP without recruitment maneuvers in obese patients at an intermediate-to-high risk for PPCs. We hypothesize that an intra-operative ventilation strategy using higher levels of PEEP and recruitment maneuvers, as compared to ventilation with lower levels of PEEP without recruitment maneuvers, prevents PPCs in obese patients at an intermediate-to-high risk for PPC.
NCT00087126
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as topotecan, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well topotecan works in treating women with persistent or recurrent cervical cancer.
NCT01751789
The purpose of this study is to determine whether, for individuals in inpatient opioid detoxification, linking to outpatient Suboxone treatment increases treatment adherence and reduces relapse to illicit opioid use.
NCT01846416
This multicenter, single-arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab (MPDL3280A) in participants with PD-L1-positive locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC. Participants will receive an intravenous (IV) dose of 1200 milligrams (mg) atezolizumab (MPDL3280A) on Day 1 of 21-day cycles until disease progression. Eligible participants will be categorized in to three groups as follows: 1. Participants with no prior chemotherapy for advanced disease; 2. Participants who progress during or following a prior-platinum based chemotherapy regimen for advanced disease (2L+participants); 3. Participants who are 2L+ and previously treated for brain metastases.
NCT01465802
To assess the impact of prophylactic treatment on the incidence of adverse events in advanced NSCLC patients (post chemotherapy) treated with dacomitinib daily as a single agent. To assess the impact of an interrupted dacomitinib dosing schedule in Cycle 1 on the incidence of adverse events in first-line advanced NSCLC patients with an EGFR mutation (HER-1 mutation, HER-2 mutation or HER-2 amplification).
NCT02367183
This study is design to explore the effect of GED-0301 on clinical and endoscopic outcome and to evaluate its safety in subjects with active Crohn's disease.
NCT02391116
To assess the potential efficacy (in terms of objective response) of single agent copanlisib in patients with relapsed or refractory Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and assess the relationship between efficacy and a potentially predictive biomarker
NCT01210495
The study is designed to demonstrate that axitinib plus best supportive care is superior to placebo plus best supportive care in prolonging survival in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.
NCT01587651
This is a Phase 4, multicenter, open-label (blinded Pharmacodynamic PD results), randomized, 3-arm, parallel-design study of subjects with stable Coronary Artery Disease CAD.
