This clinical trial aims to confirm previous findings from a smaller study which demonstrated significant improvements in all symptoms among veterans with Gulf War Illness after one month on the dietary intervention. The main objectives of this study are: 1) to confirm previous findings of treatment response to the diet in a larger and more diverse group; 2) to examine how changes in the nervous system may be the reason for improvement; and 3) to identify markers which change in the blood after one month on the diet. Participants will have baseline measures collected and then will be randomized into the intervention or wait-listed control group, which they will follow for one month before being reassessed.

CC-90010-GBM-001 is a multi-center, open-label study to assess the pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and CNS penetration of CC-90010 following short-term interval therapy (4 daily doses ) prior to surgery, in subjects with progressive or recurrent WHO Grade II Diffuse Astrocytoma, Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma and recurrent Glioblastoma who have failed radiation and chemotherapy, and who are candidates for surgical tumor resection as part of their salvage regimen (planned salvage resection).

To learn about patient barriers to accessing genetic medicine, we will analyze anonymous posts from a membership-based online community \[Inspire.com\], and investigate how these barriers differ for various populations. We will then test whether these barriers can be addressed by providing online access to a genetic counselor to answer patient questions for one group of patients (virtual advisory board group) and compare to that of a control group who does not have access to a genetic counselor (virtual peer-to-peer board group).

Caregivers (i.e., family and friends) of patients with cancer are essential in providing care during cancer treatment. For patients who are undergoing a hematopoietic stem cell transplant/transplantation (HSCT) as treatment for their cancer, caregivers are even more crucial before, during, and after their transplantation. Although HSCT is potentially curative for some patients with blood cancers, the treatment is intensive and accompanied by a prolonged hospitalization as patients recover from the toxic side-effects of chemotherapy and medical complications from the transplantation. Unsurprisingly, during the entire transplantation process, caregiver burden is high as caregivers witness and support their loved ones through multiple treatment-related complications, management of ongoing physical symptoms, and complex medication schedules. Caregiver burden leads to poor health outcomes including poor caregiver quality of life, fatigue, depression, anxiety, impaired physical health, and low levels of resilience and positive emotions. Reducing distress and enhancing positive emotions can both reduce caregiver burden and improve caregiver quality of life. However, the few interventions in the HSCT caregiver population have mostly focused on mitigating distress, despite strong evidence that enhancing positive emotions in caregivers reduces caregiver burden and promotes physical and psychological health. To address this gap, we hope to develop and test an intervention that emphasizes positive emotions in caregivers of HSCT recipients. A scalable and accessible positive emotion-based intervention tailored to the unique needs of HSCT recipients' caregivers provides a new line of behavioral intervention resources that could offer benefit to both caregivers and patients and could be generalizable to other cancer caregivers.

The goal of this study is to improve the vestibular implant's ability to reduce the vestibular-dependent perceptual, postural, and visual symptoms that affect patients with severe peripheral vestibular damage. The long-term research plan is focused on exploring the three questions which must be answered to assess the clinical utility of a vestibular implant (VI) in vestibulopathic patients - i) how can information transfer from the VI sensors to the brain be optimized; ii) how does the three-dimensional angular velocity information provided by the VI interact in the brain with other sensorimotor (vision, otolith, efferent) signals; and iii) how effectively does the VI alleviate the behavioral deficits and subjective symptoms experienced by patients with severe vestibular damage. The current study will be used to focus on two key subsets of these questions. Over one year, the investigators will study approximately 5 patients who have severe bilateral vestibular damage and functioning VI's, which will focus on aim 1: how the angular velocity information sensed by the VI can be optimally transferred to the brain; and aim 2: how effectively the VI improves the clinical status of vestibulopathic patients when they receive acute and sub-acute (3 days) motion-modulated stimulation. In sum, the investigators aim to improve the efficacy of the VI in human subjects by developing new knowledge about how the brain processes motion cues provided by the VI and correlating this information with behavioral outcomes.

This phase Ib/II trial studies the best dose of carboplatin when given together with berzosertib, gemcitabine and pembrolizumab and to see how well it works in treating patients with stage IV squamous cell non-small cell lung cancer that has spared to other placed in the body (advanced). Berzosertib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Chemotherapy drugs, such as carboplatin and gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving berzosertib together with carboplatin, gemcitabine, and pembrolizumab may work better in treating patients with squamous cell non-small cell lung cancer compared to carboplatin, gemcitabine, and pembrolizumab alone.

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of lenalidomide when given together with rituximab-ifosfamide-carboplatin-etoposide (R-ICE) and to see how well they work in treating patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that has returned after a period of improvement (relapsed) and that has not responded to previous treatment (refractory). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as rituximab, ifosfamide, carboplatin, etoposide, and lenalidomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving lenalidomide with R-ICE may be a better treatment for patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
