This will be a non-drug interventional cross-sectional study, where the screening visit and study visit can occur on the same day. Investigational product will not be administered. Approximately 790 subjects with severe asthma will be screened to achieve a total of at least 750 evaluable study subjects. The study will not include a run-in or follow-up period. This study will provide a more reliable description of the severe asthma patient landscape with respect to the potential eligibility for treatment with mepolizumab, omalizumab, and reslizumab. This study aims to estimate the potential overlap of patients eligible for treatment with mepolizumab and those eligible for treatment with omalizumab and/or reslizumab. Additionally, the current study will also ascertain and describe reslizumab eligibility with respect to both mepolizumab and omalizumab, in the severe asthma patient population.

Background: * Growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) provides many tumors, including brain tumors, with needed nutrients and oxygen for cancer cells to survive. One possible treatment for different kinds of cancer involves treatment with drugs that slow or stop angiogenesis and prevent further tumor growth. * Vandetanib is an oral medication known to block angiogenesis and has shown significant antitumor activity in laboratory and animal studies. Vandetanib appears to be well tolerated by patients at specific daily doses. * Carboplatin is a drug that interrupts division of cancer cells and has been shown to be a useful drug in treatment of tumors known as gliomas. It is a useful drug for treating brain tumors, but researchers are interested in gathering more information about how it works as a treatment for patients who have not responded to initial surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy. Objective: \- To determine the safety and effectiveness of vandetanib and carboplatin, given together or sequentially, against recurrent high-grade gliomas. Eligibility: \- Adults diagnosed with a malignant glioma who have received standard treatments that no longer appear to be effective. Design: * Patients will be assigned to one of two groups. Group 1 patients (combination group) will receive oral vandetanib for 28 days and intravenous (IV) carboplatin (once at the beginning of the 28-day cycle). Group 2 patients (sequential group) will receive IV carboplatin alone (once at the beginning of the 28-day cycle) and then oral vandetanib (300 mg daily) for 28 days if the tumor grows or the patient develops unacceptable carboplatin toxicity. * Treatment will continue in 28-day cycles for 1 year for both groups. * Patients will undergo a number of tests and procedures during the treatment cycle, including physical examinations, routine laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans * At the end of 1 year of treatment, patients will be reevaluated for possible continuation of drug therapy.

The purpose of this trial is to compare the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of TMC278 given at a dose of 25 mg once daily versus efavirenz (EFV) at a dose of 600 mg once daily, when combined with a background regimen containing 2 nucleoside/nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors ( investigator choice of ABC/3TC, TDF/FTC or AZT/3TC) in HIV-1 infected patients who have not yet taken any anti-HIV drugs. The following evaluations will be done: antiviral activity, immunologic changes, and viral geno-/phenotype evolution, relationship of Pharmacokinetics (PK) and PK/Pharmacodynamics and Medical resource utilization and treatment adherence.

Patients developing kidney failure after open heart surgery experience an abrupt decrease in blood flow to the kidney. The investigators hypothesize that administration of fenoldopam mesylate (a drug that increases blood flow to the kidney) to patients early in the course of their disease could reduce progression to dialysis-dependent acute renal failure. The investigators also hypothesize that restoring blood flow could induce additional injury to the kidney through the release of reactive oxygen species. Therefore, patients in this protocol will be randomized to receive a fenoldopam or the anti-oxidant MESNA. The investigators hypothesize that combination treatment with Fenoldopam and MESNA will decrease the incidence of death or dialysis at 21 days in patients with early post-operative acute renal failure.
