NCT01437735
This study aims to demonstrate a clinically significant improvement in Forced Expiratory Volume in one second (FEV1) in moderate to severe allergic asthmatics inadequately controlled by Inhaled Corticosteroid (ICS) therapy. Patients will be treated with QAW039, an active comparator, or placebo. This will be a randomized, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging, multi-centre trial.
NCT02423863
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of sequential intratumoral (IT) plus intramuscular (IM) Polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid stabilized with polylysine and carboxymethylcellulose (poly-ICLC, Hiltonol®) for treatment of study subjects with accessible solid tumors, with or without checkpoint blockers. Enrolled study subjects will receive Poly-ICLC (Hiltonol®) treatment alone or in combination with anti-PD-1 (Nivolumab, Pembrolizumab or Cemiplimab) or anti-PD-L1 (Atezolizumab or Durvalumab) over 6 months as defined in study treatment described below. MRI or CT imaging will be done per SOC at screening, 3 and 6-month time points.
NCT02408523
Evaluating efficacy \& safety of lacosamide versus Placebo in a blinded fashion as add-on Therapy for Primary Generalized Tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures in subject 4 years of age or greater with idiopathic generalized epilepsy currently taking 1 to 3 antiepileptic drugs. Maximum duration of study drug administration is 28 weeks. Eligible subjects may choose to enter the open-label extension study after completion.
NCT03068546
Background: The human biome is the collection of microbial genes found in and on the body. It has been associated with many health conditions. But certain factors might affect the findings from microbiome studies. These include collection method, lab handling, and data processing. Researchers want to test the effect of long-term storage in a freezer on two oral sample collections methods. These methods are OMNIgene ORAL and Scope mouthwash. Objective: To test the effect of long-term freezing on the oral microbiome measured from OMNIgene ORAL and Scope mouthwash. Eligibility: Employees of the National Cancer Institute who: * Are age 18 or older * Have not used antibiotics in the past 3 months Design: Participants will have 6 visits within 2 weeks. At visit 1 they will complete a questionnaire about health and lifestyle. All visits last 15-30 minutes and include: * 1-2 saliva samples using OMNIgene ORAL: They will spit in a collector. * 1-2 Scope samples: They will gargle with Scope mouthwash and spit in a cup. * Questions about how well they followed the preparation procedures Participants will follow preparation procedures: For 12 hours before each visit, they must not: * Brush their teeth * Floss * Use mouthwash * Eat or drink anything other than water * Chew gum * Consume throat lozenges or candies * Smoke or chew tobacco Participants samples will be stored in a freezer. They will get data about their oral microbiome if they wish.
NCT00411528
The objective of this study is to assess the response of patupilone plus prednisone compared to docetaxel plus prednisone on prostate specific antigen (PSA) in patients with metastatic hormone refractory prostate cancer. Additionally, this study will assess the response on measureable disease and the effects on patient-reported outcomes.
NCT01168128
Canadian Critical Care Nutrition Guidelines assist health practitioners in identifying best practices for feeding critically ill patients. However, guidelines have resulted in little change in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) practices, possibly because barriers to change differ between ICUs. Change may be facilitated if strategies specifically address identified barriers. The investigators hypothesize that barriers are inversely related to nutrition performance. Tailoring change strategies to overcome barriers to change will reduce the presence of these barriers and lead to improvements in nutrition practice.
NCT01190410
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of certolizumab pegol (CZP) treatment in children and adolescents with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease. Secondarily, to assess the long-term efficacy, pharmacokinetics (PK), and immunogenicity of CZP treatment in children and adolescents with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease.
NCT01594983
This study is to determine a dose response signal for LCQ908 monotherapy and to assess the efficacy and safety of adding LCQ908 to Lovaza or fenofibrate.
NCT03446846
MIN-117C03 is a 6-week, 3-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study to investigate the safety and efficacy of MIN-117 in male and female patients with Major Depressive Disorder, aged 18 to 65 years. Approximately 324 patients were to be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatment arms, including placebo, 2.5 mg MIN-117, or 5.0 mg MIN-117, in a 2:1:1 ratio.
NCT02793817
The primary objective of the study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of KPI-121 1.0% ophthalmic suspension compared to placebo in subjects who have undergone cataract surgery.
NCT02951156
Study B9991011 is a multi-center, international, randomized, open label, 2 component (Phase 1b followed by Phase 3), parallel-arm study of avelumab in combination with various agents for the treatment of Relapsed/Refractory (R/R) Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL).
NCT01103037
This study will assess the safety and efficacy of QAV680 in patients with mild to moderate asthma
NCT01601600
The purpose of this Proof of Concept study is to determine the effects of BYM338 on skeletal muscle volume, mass, and strength and patient function (gait speed) in non-demented elderly adults with sarcopenia and mobility limitations. In addition, this study will generate data on the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of BYM338 in older adults and its response on additional physical function measures in this population. Furthermore, the extended study duration will provide information on the stability of BYM-induced changes in skeletal muscle and patient function in this subgroup of the older population.
NCT00526045
This is a phase I/II, open-label, multicenter study of AUY922 administered intravenously in patients with advanced solid malignancies to determine the maximum tolerated dose. Phase II expansion arms will investigate efficacy in patients with either HER2 positive or ER positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Additional patients with advanced solid malignancies will also be investigated in a separate expansion arm. Safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics will be assessed.
NCT01423110
This study will assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability of BYM338 in patients with sporadic Inclusion Body Myositis
NCT00983060
This is a study designed to identify a dose of NIM811 that has a good safety profile, is well tolerated when co-administered with SOC, and provides a clinically meaningful effect in viral load reduction compared to SOC alone. This information will be used to support doses selected for future studies.
NCT00788931
The primary purpose of this study is to identify the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of both intravenous and oral panobinostat when given in combination with trastuzumab and paclitaxel.
