NCT01631214
The purpose of this study is to determine if treatment is effective in preventing fractures in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis.
NCT05412563
This study is being conducted to learn more about the patient/family experience when opting to enroll in Phase I clinical trials and their quality of life (QOL) while receiving experimental therapy. Palliative care (PC) has the potential to be beneficial for these families and further studies are needed to determine the most effective way for integration of PC into the care of patients enrolled on experimental clinical trials. Primary Objective * To qualitatively assess the patient and family experience, their hopes and worries and associated distress while deciding to enroll on a Phase I clinical trial.
NCT03181516
Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. One of the most common indications for probiotic treatment is the prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD). Unfortunately, many probiotic products used for AAD are not supported by rigorous independent research, and often results in non-evidence-based usage. The overarching objective is to move research forward for the most well-studied Bifidobacterium strain. The primary aim is to test the efficacy of high dose, BB-12-supplemented yogurt in preventing AAD, compared to yogurt without BB-12, in children receiving antibiotics. Other aims are to further assess the safety of yogurt supplemented with BB-12, and to carry out longitudinal community structure and gene expression analysis of fecal microbiota to evaluate the impact of high dose BB-12 in a pediatric population receiving antibiotics. The microbiota includes hundreds of species, and its disruption is hypothesized to be an important factor in the development of AAD.
NCT02043678
To determine if the addition of radium-223 dichloride to standard treatment is able to prolong life and to delay events specific for prostate cancer which has spread to the bone, such as painful fractures or bone pain which needs to be treated with an X-ray machine.
NCT05891236
This is a First-in-Human (FiH), randomized, two-part, dose-escalation trial of MAM01 monoclonal antibody (mAb) targeting the Plasmodium falciparum (Pf) Circumsporozoite Protein (CSP). This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and protective efficacy of MAM01, as well as safety and PK of repeat subcutaneous (SC) dosing. Part A will have a double-blind, placebo-controlled design. Part B will randomize participants to one of three open-label MAM01 dose groups; a separate non-randomized group will be enrolled to include participants who will receive no treatment and act as infectivity controls.
NCT02163694
The primary objective of the study is to assess the progression-free survival (PFS) of veliparib in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel (C/P) compared to placebo plus C/P in participants with a Breast Cancer Gene 1 or 2 (BRCA1; BRCA2) mutation in Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-negative metastatic or locally advanced unresectable breast cancer. The secondary objectives of the study are to assess overall survival (OS), clinical benefit rate (CBR) through the end of Week 24, objective response rate (ORR) and PFS on subsequent therapy (PFS2) in participants treated with veliparib in combination with C/P versus placebo in combination with C/P.
NCT05477186
Prevention of COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2.
NCT03245840
This is a continuation study of Budesonide Oral Suspension (BOS) in adults and adolescents with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) who have completed participation in the SHP621-302 extension study. The purpose of this study is to see if BOS is safe and well tolerated over the long-term in adolescents and adults with EoE.
NCT02736409
This is a multicenter, double- blind extension study of Oral Budesonide Suspension (OBS) in adults and adolescents (11 to 55 years of age, inclusive) with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) who have completed participation in the SHP621-301 induction study (NCT02605837). The primary objective is to evaluate the maintenance of efficacy of OBS over 36 weeks. Maintenance of efficacy will be measured by the peak eosinophilic count and Dysphagia Symptom Questionnaire (DSQ) score.
NCT04610892
A Phase IIB Parallel group Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of MEDI6570 in Participants with a Prior Myocardial Infarction.
NCT04356027
The purpose of the FUSION study is to validate the diagnostic performance of Virtual Flow Reserve (VFR) by comparing it against a reference standard, fractional flow reserve (FFR).
NCT05227209
This is a clinical trial to determine the long-term safety and tolerability of an investigational drug in people with Major Depressive Episode Associated with Bipolar I Disorder (Bipolar I Depression). Participants in the study will receive the drug being studied. This study is accepting male and female participants between 18 and 65 years old who have completed Study SEP380-301. This study will be conducted in approximately 90 study centers worldwide. The treatment duration for this study is one (1) year.
NCT03556592
The purpose of this trial is to investigate if tralokinumab changes the metabolism of selected CYP substrates in adults with moderate-to-severe AD after: * 14 weeks of treatment with tralokinumab * a single dose of tralokinumab
NCT04605159
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ability of a single dose of the investigational RSV Maternal vaccine, administered intramuscularly (IM) to pregnant women aged 18-49 years, in good general maternal health, in preventing medically assessed RSV associated Lower Respiratory Tract Illnesses (LRTIs) in infants born to vaccinated mothers. The study also evaluated the safety of the investigational RSV Maternal vaccine both in vaccinated mothers and in their corresponding infant. Following a recommendation from the Independent Data Monitoring Committee of NCT04605159 (RSV MAT 009), GSK made the decision to stop enrolment and vaccination in the study. Ongoing study participants at that time continued to be monitored as part of the study.
NCT01957735
This is a Phase 1a/b multicenter, open-label, non-randomized, dose-escalation study to examine the dose limiting toxicities (DLT) of BPM31510 administered as a 144-hour continuous intravenous (IV) infusion as monotherapy(treatment Arm 1) and in combination with chemotherapy (treatment Arm 2) in patients with solid tumors.
NCT05308238
Pre-Active PD is a randomized controlled feasibility study to evaluate the implementation of a telehealth-delivered physical activity behavior change intervention for people with early-mid stage Parkinson's disease. The program utilizes occupational therapists to provide one-to-one individualized support to facilitate and optimize exercise uptake as part of their disease self-management. The structure of the intervention is based on previous research in neurodegenerative disease including Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.
NCT05062980
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of quaratusugene ozeplasmid (Reqorsa), in combination with pembrolizumab in patients with previously treated NSCLC. Quaratusugene ozeplasmid consists of non-viral lipid nanoparticles that encapsulate a DNA plasmid with the TUSC2 tumor suppressor gene, and is a systemic gene therapy. The study will be conducted in 2 phases, a dose escalation phase (Phase 1) and a safety and efficacy evaluation phase (Phase 2). In Phase 1, patients will be enrolled in sequential cohorts treated with successively higher doses of quaratusugene ozeplasmid in combination with pembrolizumab to determine the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D). Phase 2 will be comprised of a dose expansion portion and a randomized portion. In the dose expansion portion, patients will be enrolled and treated with quaratusugene ozeplasmid at the RP2D in combination with pembrolizumab. In the randomized portion, patients will be randomized to receive either the investigational treatment of quaratusugene ozeplasmid at the RP2D in combination with pembrolizumab or a control treatment of either docetaxel +/- ramucirumab or the investigator's treatment of choice.
