NCT00103649
The purpose of this study is to assess xaliproden's potential capacity of slowing the deterioration of cognitive and global functions in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. The patients participating in this study will take orally once daily xaliproden or placebo (inactive substance pill).
NCT00380276
Open-label treatment with MPC-7869 for participants in a previous randomized study.
NCT00297765
A study to determine the optimal dose and blood level of Prograf® in long-term maintenance of kidney transplant patients.
NCT00000699
To determine the safety and effectiveness of treatment with ribavirin (RBV) plus isoprinosine (INPX) in preventing the development of AIDS in patients infected with the AIDS virus (HIV). Also to determine the maximal dose of RBV that can be tolerated by HIV-infected patients when RBV is given with INPX. The patients may or may not have generalized lymphadenopathy syndrome (LAS). RBV has prevented the development of AIDS in some HIV-infected patients with LAS and INPX has stimulated the immune system of patients infected with HIV. The immune system fights infections in the human body, and the HIV attacks T cells that are an important part of the immune system. Reports from individual cases treated with both RBV and INPX suggest that clinical improvements occurred in HIV-infected patients, but there is no reliable information on the safety and effectiveness of this drug combination in such patients.
NCT00205790
To demonstrate equivalence in patency performance of GORE-TEX PROPATEN Vascular Grafts and Thin Walled GORE-TEX Stretch Vascular Grafts in a peripheral bypass application to support a claim of substantial equivalence.
NCT00081796
The purpose of this clinical trial is to determine if RPR109881 is a better treatment than capecitabine (Xeloda) for advanced breast cancer in patients that no longer benefit from docetaxel and/or paclitaxel.
NCT00104169
The purpose of this trial is to examine whether Epoetin Alfa, a hormone stimulating production of red blood cells, can reverse idiopathic anemia.
NCT00363714
The purpose of this study will be to assess the safety and tolerability and dose-limiting toxicity of a single intravitreal injection of Sirna-027 (AGN211745) and to assess the anatomical changes in the retina, changes in CNV, and changes in visual acuity. Escalation to the next dose cohort will be completed following minimum of 2 weeks follow-up. Patients will be monitored intensively for three months, and then followed-up for safety up to 24 months post-injection.
NCT00141193
This study is a prospective, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center trial to compare the efficacy and safety of celecoxib 400mg QD versus placebo in reducing the occurrence of new colorectal adenomas post-polypectomy at Month 13 (Year 1) and Month 37 (Year 3) of study drug administration.
NCT00104013
NCT00162448
Double-Blind, Randomized, Single-Dose Study to Evaluate the Atrial Selectivity and Safety of BMS-394136 in Subjects with Implanted Dual-Chamber Pacemakers or Defibrillators
NCT00072982
The object of this study is to determine whether treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with a combination of fish oil and borage seed oil is superior to treatment with either oil alone. This study will also investigate the biochemical, immunological, and molecular mechanism responsible for the therapeutic effects of these fatty acids. Each patient will be followed for eighteen months.
NCT00002418
The purpose of this study is to see if it is safe and effective to give a new anti-HIV drug combination to HIV-infected patients who have never taken nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) and who have failed to respond to protease inhibitors (PIs). The drug combination will contain didanosine (ddI) plus stavudine (d4T) plus nevirapine (NVP) plus MKC-442. Hydroxyurea (HU) may be added.
NCT00044824
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of fexofenadine 120mg BID compared to placebo in the treatment of subjects with mild to moderate persistent asthma
NCT00044811
NCT00322270
To evaluate the safety profile of alfimeprase as assessed by monitoring of adverse events, serious adverse events and major bleeding events for up to 120 minutes following the instillation of study drug to an occluded central venous access device.
NCT00000966
To evaluate the effectiveness and toxicity of oral azithromycin and pyrimethamine as acute therapy for toxoplasmic encephalitis in AIDS patients. To assess the toxicity and effectiveness of azithromycin alone as maintenance therapy. Encephalitis caused by Toxoplasma gondii is the most frequent cause of focal central nervous system infection in patients with AIDS. Untreated, the encephalitis is fatal. Standard treatment for toxoplasmic encephalitis is associated with serious adverse effects. Thus, alternative treatments are needed.
NCT00406952
Purpose of the study is to evaluate use of electronic diaries and voice acoustics for use in future depression clinical trial. Focus is on increased precision of measurement.
NCT00322036
This is a multinational, randomized, double blind, placebo controlled, parallel group study comparing the safety and efficacy of daily dosing of 800 mg twice daily MPC-7869 to placebo. Study subjects will have the diagnosis of mild dementia of the Alzheimer's type. Subjects may be taking approved medication for Alzheimer's disease provided the dose has been stable for at least 6 months.
NCT00129844
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of MGd in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) when given alone, and to evaluate the difference between two dosing regimens.
