RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known which regimen of combination chemotherapy is most effective for lymphoblastic lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying different regimens of combination chemotherapy to compare how well they work in treating children or adolescents with newly diagnosed stage III or stage IV lymphoblastic lymphoma.

The research objective of this proposed clinical trial is to determine the efficacy of a medical clowning intervention for pediatric patients undergoing venipuncture. Efficacy is defined in terms of decreasing anxiety, pain, and crying duration, and increasing the pace and ease of the procedure. The study population includes pediatric patients between the ages of 3 - 11 years who must undergo venipuncture at the LAC + USC Outpatient Clinic. The subjects will be randomized into two groups. The control subjects will receive no intervention during blood draw, while the intervention subjects will receive the medical clown intervention during blood draw. The clowns will interact with one patient at a time, engaging in play with the patient and caretakers during all parts of the procedure. Duration of crying and the duration of the entire procedure, the patient's level of pain and anxiety, the caretaker's level of anxiety, need for restraining devices (papoose) and the efficiency of the procedure will be measured. In order to perform the survey and self-assessment procedures, we will implement the use of measurement scales including a novel "emoji" child distress assessment scale, and a published adult anxiety scale (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory Form Y-1). The data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics.

The study investigators will enroll 45 treatment seeking, cigarette smokers with a Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV) diagnosis of schizophrenia who will be randomly assigned into three arms of treatment for smoking cessation treatment, receiving either 1. Control: "standard therapy" (n=15), including stepwise monotherapy of nicotine patch or bupropion sustained release, 2. Extended treatment with combination bupropion, nicotine patch, and nicotine lozenge for 6 months (n=15), or 3. Extended treatment with combination bupropion, nicotine patch, and nicotine lozenge for 6 months with home visits (n=15) and phone calls to the home or living facility. During all treatments, participants will receive weekly smoking cessation group counseling, as is standard for smoking cessation treatment. At the time of enrollment, participants will complete a one-study visit lead-in to complete baseline assessments, psychological and medical evaluation, and comprehensive assessment of drug use to determine study eligibility. Once determined to be eligible for the trial, participants will be randomly assigned to one of the treatment arms using a randomization procedure. The "standard therapy" treatment arm, or control group, will receive either nicotine patch taper starting at 21 milligrams (mg) daily, nicotine lozenge as needed, and/or bupropion sustained release at 150mg daily for 3 days, then 150 mg twice a day for a total of 12 weeks. The extended therapy arm will start the nicotine patch at 21mg daily with as needed nicotine lozenge for breakthrough cravings and initiation of bupropion sustained release at 150mg daily for 3 days a week prior to starting nicotine replacement, then 150 mg twice daily for 6 months (as tolerated). The third arm will be identical to the second arm except for the added home visit intervention.

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy such as cyclophosphamide, prednisone, and methylprednisolone use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as rituximab can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Combining cyclophosphamide and either prednisone or methylprednisolone with rituximab may be effective in treating lymphoproliferative disease following organ transplantation. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining cyclophosphamide and either prednisone or methylprednisolone with rituximab in treating patients who have Epstein-Barr virus-positive lymphoproliferative disease following organ transplantation.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of BMS-919373 on atrial fibrillation (AF) through its effect on AF burden (AFB), or the percent of time in AF, in subjects with paroxysmal AF (pAF) when administered orally at a range of doses (2 mg once daily (QD), 5 mg QD, 12 mg QD following a 1-week period of loading doses of 3 mg QD, 8 mg QD and 20 mg QD, respectively) for a total of 4 weeks. It is hypothesized that treatment with BMS-919373 will reduce AF burden as compared to baseline relative to placebo.

To address pertinent questions regarding the utilization of stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) to treat prostate cancer. The Florida Robotic Radiosurgery Association (FRRA) launched the first registry for prostate cancer patients treated with SBRT. The registry is designed to track surrogate treatment endpoints including prostate specific antigen (PSA), international prostate symptom score (IPSS),sexual health in men (SHIM), and visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, in addition to physical and survival data. Utilizing an independent vendor (Advertek, Inc.) experienced with the design and implementation of similar electronic registries, FRRA developed a data collection tool that staff members with a basic medical background can use to register and upload pertinent patient data, requiring no more than 20 to 30 minutes per patient. Participating patients will be monitored in follow-up for three years, with analysis and publication of the results semi-annually.

This is a Phase III, global, multicenter, open-label, two-arm, randomized, controlled study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab compared with chemotherapy in participants with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial bladder cancer (UBC) who have progressed during or following a platinum-containing regimen. The anticipated time on study treatment is based on continued clinical benefit, i.e., until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. The target sample size is 931 participants.

This study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of humanized anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody, HLX07, in patients with epithelial cancer who have failed standard therapy and deemed unamenable by conventional therapy. The purpose of this study is the prevention of Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia in mechanically ventilated subjects heavily colonized with S. aureus. Staphylococcus aureus is a human pathogenic bacterium that causes severe infections, including pneumonia and sepsis. Hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia (HABP) caused by S. aureus, including ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (VABP) in mechanically ventilated subjects, is a significant public health threat despite efforts to optimize antibiotic treatment. ASN100 is an investigational monoclonal antibody product that targets the toxins produced by S. aureus to protect subjects from developing S. aureus pneumonia.

This is a phase 1 trial designed to evaluate safety and tolerability of chemotherapy in combination with inotuzumab ozogamicin, an investigational product, in adults with CD22-positive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The trial will involve two arms. In one arm, subjects will receive chemotherapy regimen R-CVP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, vincristine and prednisone). In the other arm, subjects will receive R-GDP (rituximab, gemcitabine, cisplatinum and dexamethasone). Subjects in both arms will also receive inotuzumab ozogamicin.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long term safety and effectiveness of SI joint fusion using the iFuse Implant System in patients with degenerative sacroiliitis (DS) and/or sacroiliac joint disruptions (SD). Study Design: This study is extended follow-up from two ongoing multicenter prospective US clinical trials. All participants have already undergone the surgical procedure of interest (SI joint fusion with iFuse Implant System). RATIONALE: Giving chemotherapy before a donor stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cancer cells. It also helps stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. When the healthy stem cells from a donor are infused into the patient they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving cyclosporine, methotrexate, leucovorin, and antithymocyte globulin before and after transplant may stop this from happening. It is not yet known which treatment regimen is most effective in treating acute leukemia. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well different therapies work in treating infants with newly diagnosed acute leukemia.
