This involves the utilization of social messaging such as e-mail or text and/or social media platforms. These communication methods purport to and meet individual patient needs whilst ensuring that information is received and in a format that is familiar to each patient. The primary outcomes of the proposed research is to evaluate the impact of tailored patient-provider communication on patient response rates (speed and number), clinical trial recruitment rates, patient knowledge, and patient engagement.

This study will look at how a known study medicine N8-GP works in previously N8-GP treated people with haemophilia A. The aim is to look at how N8-GP works during regular use. Participants will get N8-GP. N8-GP has been tested in more than 200 people with haemophilia A for several years. Participants will get an injection of N8-GP into a blood vessel, one, two or three times weekly. Participants will get more doses if they bleed or if they will need a surgery. The study will last for about 2 years. Participants will have at least 9 visits with the study doctor. If participants agree to be in this study, they will get their first injection (in this study) at the first visit. Participants will also get an injection at visit 3, 5 and 7. Participants will be trained to give all other injections themselves. Participants must not use any clotting factors other than N8-GP or any anticoagulants (blood thinners) during the study.

Hypogonadism is an endocrine disorder characterized by absent or deficient testosterone levels along with signs and symptoms of androgen deficiency, including delayed development or regression of sexual characteristics, impaired sexual function and sense of well-being, depressed mood, decreased muscle strength associated with loss of muscle mass and reduced bone mineral density. AndroGel 1.62% has demonstrated its ability to increase total testosterone levels in the blood by absorption of testosterone through the skin when applied topically. This study evaluated the effect of AndroGel 1.62% on systolic blood pressure using ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in hypogonadal men who used testosterone replacement therapy. AndroGel 1.62% is a drug used for the treatment of hypogonadism, which is associated with low or no testosterone. This was an open-label study which means that both the study doctor and study participants knew what drug and what dose is being used. All participants in this study were in the same group, called a treatment arm. Adult male participants with hypogonadism were enrolled and received AndroGel 1.62%. This was a multi-center study with 190 participants enrolled (initially planned) in approximately 45 sites in the United States to yield 171 subjects in the per protocol (PP) population. A blinded sample size re-estimation (BSSR) was performed when around 70% of the planned subjects in the PP population had completed the end of treatment visit. Sample size was increased at BSSR and 246 participants were actually enrolled. Participants received daily topical gel doses of AndroGel 1.62% for approximately 16 weeks. There may have been a higher burden for participants in this study compared to standard of care. Participants attended 8 study visits during the course of the study at a hospital or clinic and received 2 study phone calls. The effect of the treatment was checked by medical assessments, blood tests (including pharmacokinetic sampling), and 24-hour blood pressure monitors.

The study aims to evaluate the effect of fluconazole on the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of a single oromucosal dose of Sativex® (i.e. how the body absorbs, distributes, metabolises and excretes the drug) in healthy subjects with a history of cannabis use. The primary clinical hypothesis is that no drug-drug interaction between Sativex® and fluconazole will be detected as effects on PK parameters of Sativex®, when both are administered to healthy human volunteers who have experience using cannabis. The study additionally aims to evaluate the safety and tolerability of an oromucosal dose of Sativex® in subjects when given concurrently with fluconazole.

This is a double-blind, randomized, parallel groups Phase II trial. Patients with platinum-sensitive advanced ovarian cancer, defined as a lack of progression by RECIST v1.1 criteria following completion of standard-of-care chemotherapy, including a minimum of 4 cycles of a platinum-containing regimen. Patients will be randomized to either the vaccine regimen with GM-CSF adjuvant or GM-CSF adjuvant alone as a control group. Treatment will be administered as a consolidation therapy within one year of the last administration of platinum, targeting the first remission.

First Responders are expected to maintain high-performance levels under extreme conditions. However, constant intense workplace stress, physical work demands, and irregular shift hours are taking a severe toll on frontline workers. These demands often lead to physical and mental health problems, poor job performance, and lifestyle issues. Without better support and resources, these demands will continue to cause first responders to be trapped in a vicious cycle that typically includes occupational trauma, stress, and maladaptive coping skills. The purpose of this research is to: 1. Better understand the physiological, psychological, and cognitive impacts workplace stress and irregular shift hours have on first responders 2. Better understand the most prominent challenges first responders face when trying to manage their own physical and mental health. Through the results of this study, we hope to identify possible solutions/interventions at the individual, clinical and departmental levels to help first responders better manage their stress and improve their quality of life.
