NCT03686683
The ProVent study is a randomized, open-label study designed to assess the efficacy of sipuleucel-T in reducing the progression of lower risk non-metastatic prostate cancer compared to participants followed on active surveillance as standard of care.
NCT05033080
The purpose of this study evaluates the efficacy and safety of VX-121/tezacaftor/deutivacaftor (VX-121/TEZ/D-IVA) in CF participants who were heterozygous for F508del and a minimal function mutation (F/MF participants).
NCT02960763
The purpose of this research study is to assess which antidepressants work the best in older adults who have treatment-resistant depression (TRD).
NCT05120648
Biofeedback is a therapeutic paradigm that teaches patients how to gain awareness and control over previously unrecognized sympathetic changes such as body temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate. We propose to use a six session biofeedback protocol that includes heart-rate variability (HRV) biofeedback, respiration/relaxation training, and body temperature control to treat UCLA patients with chronic medical conditions (e.g. pulmonary, neurology) and somatic symptoms (pain, psychosomatic non-epileptic seizures, panic attacks, long-COVID symptoms). The aim of the study is to determine whether patients who complete a six-session biofeedback protocol report a decrease in somatic symptoms, and improvements in self-rated mental health (depression, anxiety, quality of life) after the program and at three-months follow-up. The investigators will also study whether these improvements are also related to reduced healthcare utilization.
NCT06625840
The goal of this study is to learn how safe MK-1167 is in healthy elderly adults and how well people tolerate it.
NCT04506905
This is a randomized, double-blind, 2-part clinical study of the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of alternate MK-8189 titration regimens. Part 1 assessed multiple dose once-daily titration regimens of MK-8189 in young adult participants with schizophrenia. Part 2 assessed multiple once-daily doses of MK-8189 in elderly participants with schizophrenia and healthy elderly participants.
NCT06623214
The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety, efficacy and usage compliance of the home-use device nebulyft for self-treatment of wrinkles appearance. The participants do treatment 5 time /week and last 4 weeks. Each treatment takes 16min to complete. Photographs will be taken before treatment and 1 month after the completion of treatment to compare the wrinkle scale.
NCT05873933
For the skin to function optimally, it needs to be nourished and supplied with the necessary compounds to support health. However, many individuals are deficient in those compounds, leading to negative skin outcomes. Most products on the market today only supply one or two compounds that can benefit skin health. Hemptress has developed a multi-function oil designed to help with outcomes related to acne, aging, and eczema, among others. This twelve-week trial will examine the effectiveness of Hemptress' test product. This study will be a two-group trial with 45 participants per group. One group will focus on understanding the test product's effects on skin aging symptoms. The other group will focus on understanding the test product's effects on acne and eczema. The trial will be hybrid, and the participants will follow the use instructions provided by the research team.
NCT05169710
A clinical trial to study the efficacy and safety of an investigational drug in people with major depressive episodes associated with with Bipolar I disorder (bipolar I depression) Participants in the study will either receive the drug being studied or a placebo. The study will be conducted in approximately 90 sites in North America, Europe, Latin America and Japan. It will be have both male and female participants ages 18-65. Participation in the study will be approximately 10 weeks.
NCT02760329
The NOVEL Observational longiTudinal studY (NOVELTY) is an observational study of obstructive lung disease and is a multi-country, multi-centre, prospective, longitudinal cohort study which will recruit patients with a diagnosis, or suspected diagnosis, of asthma and/or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Patients will undergo clinical assessments and receive standard medical care as determined by their treating physician. Patients enrolled in NOVELTY will be followed up yearly by their treating physician for a total duration of three years. In addition, patients will be followed up remotely every 3 months. The NOVELTY study will collect data currently lacking to allow for multinational data collection to fill regional/local gaps and improve comparability across regions.
NCT06629337
It was hypothesized that aerobic exercise with blood flow restriction (BFR) induced post exercise hypotension (PEH), and the reduction in blood pressure (BP) was due to peripheral vasodilation via the histamine receptors. Ten male participants participated in this study. The participants were randomly assigned to walk for 10 minutes at 6.4 k/m, 0% grade with or without BFR after taking histamine receptor blockade. Following exercise, BP was measured at 10 min interval for 60 minutes. Heart rate (HR), stroke volume (SV), cardiac output (CO), mean arterial pressure (MAP), and total peripheral resistance (TPR) were evaluated.
NCT03681015
The purpose of this study is to evaluate disease progression in persons with early Parkinson disease, as assessed by digital and electronic sensor data collection to be correlated with typical clinical assessments.
NCT03210402
New therapy tested in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) patients with approved indications for pacing to determine if elevated pacing therapy is tolerated and whether there is a signal for efficacy.
NCT03583086
This is a two-agent, open-label, non-randomized, Phase 1/2 dose escalation and dose expansion study of combinatorial oral vorolanib plus infusional nivolumab in patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer naïve to checkpoint inhibitor therapy, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer who have progressed on checkpoint inhibitor therapy, Small Cell Lung Cancer ( who have progressed on platinum-based chemotherapy, and thymic carcinoma.
NCT01013792
The primary objective is to: * Assess the effect of the Non-adherent study dressing to 3M Tegaderm Matrix Dressing with PHI technology on wound healing in patients with a diabetic foot ulcer. Secondary objectives are to: * Assess the adverse events that occur in subjects randomized to the investigational dressing in comparison to subjects randomized to the Tegaderm Matrix Dressing with PHI technology. * Assess the costs of using the investigational dressing compared to the Tegaderm Matrix Dressing with PHI technology. * Assess and compare the impact that these dressings have on patients' quality of life. * Assess the wound's biological response and pH to the study dressings.
NCT04460560
Hepatorenal syndrome-acute kidney injury (HRS-AKI), a potentially reversible renal failure, is a serious, rapidly progressing, often fatal, complication of decompensated cirrhosis. Terlipressin is a synthetic vasopressin analogue that acts as a systemic vasoconstrictor via the vascular vasopressin V1 receptors. In HRS-AKI patients the strong V1 receptor-mediated vasoconstrictor activity of terlipressin, particularly in the splanchnic area, increases effective intravascular volume and mean arterial pressure (MAP), ameliorates renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and sympathetic nervous system hyperactivity, and improves renal blood flow. The INFUSE trial will evaluate the use of continuous terlipressin infusion in patients on the liver transplant waiting list with HRS-AKI.
NCT06160752
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and preliminary antitumor activity of TYRA-200 in cancers with FGFR2 activating gene alterations, including unresectable locally advanced/metastatic intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and other advanced solid tumors.
