NCT02473289
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of sirukumab as adjunctive treatment to antidepressant therapy (monoaminergic antidepressant) where sirukumab (administered as a 50 milligram (mg) subcutaneous (SC) injection at Day 1, Day 28 and Day 56 during the 12- week double-blind treatment period) is compared to adjunctive placebo based on the change from baseline to 12-week endpoint in depressive symptoms as measured by the total score on the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS), in participants diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) who have had a suboptimal response to the current standard oral antidepressant therapy and have a screening high sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hsCRP) \>=0.300 milligram per deciliters (mg/dL) (International System of Units (SI) 3.00 mg/L). A cohort of subjects with hsCRP \<0.300 milligram per deciliter will also be enrolled to allow a better understanding of the relationship between CRP and clinical changes.
NCT03517722
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of ustekinumab in participants with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who have not adequately responded to one or more standard of care treatments.
NCT02076009
The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of daratumumab when combined with lenalidomide and dexamethasone (DRd) to that of lenalidomide and dexamethasone (Rd), in terms of progression-free survival in participants with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
NCT03756896
This phase II trial studies how well carfilzomib, pomalidomide, and dexamethasone work in treating patients with high-risk multiple myeloma. Carfilzomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pomalidomide and dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving carfilzomib, pomalidomide, and dexamethasone may work better in treating patients with multiple myeloma.
NCT01998958
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and dose response of intranasal esketamine (Panel A: 28 mg, 56 mg, and 84 mg and Panel B: 14 mg and 56 mg) compared with placebo in improving depressive symptoms in participants with treatment-resistant depression (TRD).
NCT03227224
The purpose of this study is to assess the dose-response relationship of 2 doses of JNJ-42847922 before interim analysis, and potentially 3 doses based on interim analysis results, compared to placebo as adjunctive therapy to an antidepressant drug in improving depressive symptoms in participants with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) who have had an inadequate response to current antidepressant therapy with a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) or serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI); and to assess the safety and tolerability of JNJ-42847922 compared to placebo as adjunctive therapy to an antidepressant in participants with MDD.
NCT03689699
MAGIC-8 is a two-arm, multicenter, phase 1b/2 study to assess the efficacy of immunotherapy with either Nivolumab (anti-PD-1) or Nivolumab plus BMS-986253 combined with ADT using Degarelix (LHRH antagonist) for men with hormone-sensitive prostate cancer and a rising prostate-specific antigen (PSA). The purpose of this study is to see whether immunotherapy with either Nivolumab alone or Nivolumab plus BMS-986253 combined with Degarelix, which suppresses testosterone, is safe and can decrease the chance that the cancer will come back. The primary objectives are to 1) determine the rate of PSA recurrence defined as a PSA \>0.2ng/ml for radical prostatectomy patients or PSA \>2.0ng/ml for patients who received primary radiation therapy at a time point of 10 months after start of therapy; and 2) determine the safety and tolerability of either nivolumab or nivolumab plus BMS-986253 in combination with degarelix in men with hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. The secondary objectives include determining relapse-free survival (RFS) and % change in PSA to immunotherapy alone.
NCT04129164
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of VIB4920 (formerly MEDI4920) in adult participants with Sjögren's Syndrome (SS).
NCT03556332
The purpose of this study is to test any good and bad effects of giving a combination of study drugs before and after autologous stem cell transplant.
NCT06952634
This a phase 1, open label, single dose, parallel cohort study to determine the pharmacokinetics (PK) of study drug (ESK-001) in healthy volunteer participants, and participants with mild, moderate, and severe hepatic impairment.
NCT03546205
The purpose of study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics of a single, subcutaneous dose of JNJ-64565111 in adult participants with varying degrees of renal function including participants with end stage renal disease, requiring hemodialysis, compared with participants with normal renal function.
NCT04564989
The primary goal of this study is to examine whether recurrence of HPV-associated OPSCC can be predicted by two factors: 1) mutations in genes called TRAF3 and CYLD, and 2) measurements of circulating HPV DNA in blood plasma. The study will also investigate whether HPV integration is associated with TRAF3 and CYLD mutations, and whether recurrence prediction improves when looking at HPV integration along with TRAF3 and CYLD mutations.
NCT02235857
Liposorber® LA-15 System is a blood purification therapy that selectively removes malignant lipoproteins including low density lipoprotein from circulating blood flow and rapidly reduces the plasma cholesterol level. The system was originally developed for the treatment of patients with serious dyslipidemia such as familial hypercholesterolemia and then applied to improve the dyslipidemia, a common complication of nephrotic syndrome and found to bring about improvement not only with the dyslipidemic condition but the nephrotic condition (e.g, proteinuria and hypoproteinemia). Although the definitive mechanism by which the system may relieve nephrotic syndrome is unknown, it has been recognized as one of alternative therapies for refractory nephrotic syndrome including focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) in Japan and referred in the Guidelines for the Treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome endorsed by The Japanese Society of Nephrology. This study is conducted as a post approval study imposed by Humanitarian Device Exemption (HDE) order to confirm the safety and efficacy of the Liposorber® LA-15 System in the treatment of drug-resistant pediatric primary FSGS.
NCT04503395
The aim of this randomized study is to compare the safety and performance of EndoVascular Aneurysm Repair with ESAR using Endurant + Heli-FX™ EndoAnchor™ system and FEVAR using customizable grafts from Cook (Zenith Fenestrated Graft) and Terumo (Fenestrated Anaconda Graft) for the treatment of aortic aneurysms with short aortic neck (4 to 15mm).
