NCT02268396
This is an open-label, multi-center study to evaluate the accuracy, reliability and functionality of the Glycopyrronium and Formoterol Fumarate (GFF) Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) dose indicator in adult subjects with moderate to very severe COPD over a 4-week Treatment Period.
NCT01521143
As \< 10% of the necessary patients required by the protocol were recruited and the data were not intended to support a labeling claim, it was determined that the abbreviated clinical study report (CSR) was the appropriate reporting format. No efficacy analyses were performed as the trial was terminated early with incomplete enrollment of \< 10%. The purpose of this study is to determine if an investigational cell therapy called Cvac can help epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) from returning when administered to patients who are in complete remission after surgical removal of their tumor followed by standard first-line (Part A) or second-line (Part B) chemotherapy. Following remission, patients will undergo leukapheresis for the manufacture of the study agent. After completion of chemotherapy and confirmation of remission, patients will enter the treatment phase of the study.
NCT00232596
This Phase 3 study is being conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of retigabine dosed at 1200 mg/day, in three equally divided doses, compared with placebo in patients with epilepsy who are receiving up to three established antiepileptic drugs (AEDs).
NCT01489254
The purpose of this study is demonstrate that efficacy and safety of Synthon's glatiramer acetate (GTR) is equivalent to Copaxone® (Teva) in patients with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis
NCT00603278
This study is designed to determine if the investigational drug is effective and safe in individuals with asthma.
NCT01112722
The study will identify the efficacy of Apitox, purified honeybee toxin, in 330 patients with diagnosed osteoarthritis of the knee. The subjects will be evaluated for relief of pain using Western Ontario and McMaster Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and Physician and Patient Global Assessments and primary efficacy measure of relief of pain and inflammation over a 12 week treatment period after randomization into the trial. Secondary efficacy is improvement of mobility Treatment effect will be compared in a 2-1 Apitox vs active control
NCT00104416
This study is being conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of LAMICTAL (lamotrigine) extended-release with placebo in the treatment of Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures. LAMICTAL extended-release is an investigational drug. Placebo tablets look like LAMICTAL extended-release tablets but do not contain active medication. In this study, LAMICTAL extended-release or placebo tablets will be added to current seizure treatments.
NCT00624065
Randomized, double-blind, parallel group, multicenter study of subjects with Stage 1 or 2 essential hypertension who are not at target blood pressure (\<140/90mmHg) at Baseline. Subjects will be randomized to receive either carvedilol CR + lisinopril or lisinopril + placebo. Subjects will be uptitrated over a 6 week period until target blood pressure (\<140/90mmHg) is met. The primary objective of the study is to compare the proportion of subjects who achieve target blood pressure after 6 weeks of treatment.
NCT01928368
The purpose of this study is to determine if a single dose of AMG 282 is safe in healthy subjects and subjects with mild atopic asthma.
NCT00688519
The purpose of the study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of U0267 in subjects with plaque-type psoriasis.
NCT00701675
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a very common disorder in the geriatric population with prevalence rates reaching 7% and even higher rates of 8% among elderly veterans. However, despite such high prevalence treating clinicians are presently forced to address treatment issues in this population without the guidance of scientific data. This proposal aims to begin to address this void. In light of emerging information regarding efficacy of the newer anti anxiety agents, specifically the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), in the treatment of young adult GAD patients it is time to prospectively evaluate the safety and efficacy of these medications in the treatment of elderly GAD patients. Therefore, this study will examine the effects and safety of the SSRI sertraline at different doses (50mg and 100mg per day) for older patients with GAD.
NCT01410565
This is an international, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study. All eligible patients entering the open label phase of the study will receive a single immediate instillation of apaziquone (4 mg in 40 mL diluent), post transurethral resection-bladder tumor (TURBT). Following Central Pathology review of histology and Double Blind Phase qualification, patients with confirmed eligibility will be randomized to receive either 6 weekly intravesical instillations of apaziquone or matching placebo and undergo cystoscopic and safety assessments every 3 months for 24 months from randomization. Patients with histologic evidence of recurrent disease during the study will be treated according to current treatment guidelines or local standard of care. Safety and efficacy assessments will be performed at 3 month intervals for all randomized patients throughout the study. Patients who receive single dose of apaziquone immediately following TURBT and are not eligible for randomization will be followed for 3 months by cystoscopic exam and safety assessments.
NCT00555061
A study to evaluate the pharmacokinetics of Retapamulin Ointment, 1%, in pediatric subjects (2-24 months) with secondarily-infected traumatic lesions, secondarily-infected dermatoses, or impetigo (bullous and non-bullous).
NCT02034344
The purpose of this study is to obtain skin, blood, and urine samples from patients with active cutaneous lupus lesions and from healthy participants.
NCT01765543
This open-label, multi-center, three-period, one-sequence study will investigate the effect of rifampin on the PK of vemurafenib in participants with unresectable BRAFV600-mutation positive metastatic melanoma or other malignant tumor type that harbors a V600-activating mutation of BRAF without acceptable standard treatment options. Eligible participants will have the option to continue treatment with vemurafenib as part of an extension study GO28399 (NCT01739764).
NCT00712673
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the benefits and risks of lixisenatide (AVE0010), in comparison to placebo, as an add-on treatment to metformin, over a period of 24 weeks of treatment, followed by an extension. The primary objective is to assess the effects of lixisenatide as an add-on treatment to metformin in terms of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) reduction (absolute change) at Week 24. The secondary objectives are to assess the effect of lixisenatide, in comparison to placebo, when administered in the evening within 1 hour prior to the meal in terms of HbA1c reduction, percentage of patients reaching HbA1c less than (\<) 7 percent (%), percentage of patients reaching HbA1c less than or equal to 6.5%, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), plasma glucose, plasma insulin, C-peptide, glucagon, and proinsulin during a 2-hour standardized meal test (only in morning injection arms), body weight, beta-cell function assessed by homeostasis model assessment (HOMA)-beta, fasting plasma insulin (FPI) and adiponectin; to evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and anti-lixisenatide antibody development, beta-cell function 4 weeks after study drug discontinuation (only in patients from the morning injection arms in some selected centers).
