NCT00819208
RATIONALE: Participating in a physical activity program designed to increase free time physical activity and receiving written health education materials may influence the chance of cancer recurring as well as impact on physical fitness, psychological well-being and the quality of life of patients who have undergone surgery and chemotherapy for colon cancer. It is not yet known whether giving a physical activity program together with health education materials is more effective than giving health education materials alone for patients who have undergone colon cancer treatment. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying a physical activity program given together with health education materials to see how well it works compared with giving health education materials alone for patients who have undergone treatment for high-risk stage II or stage III colon cancer.
NCT05107128
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of SAGE-718 on cognitive performance and functioning in participants with HD.
NCT01552226
This is a prospective randomized study of 114 patients. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of two standard methods of analgesia for pain control in patients undergoing elective colon and rectal surgery, as measured by the Numeric Pain Scale (NPS) and by the need for supplemental narcotic analgesics. This study is designed to determine if postoperative pain control by local analgesics delivered through preperitoneally placed ON-Q Silver Soaker™ catheters (CPA) is equivalent to continuous epidural analgesia (CEA).
NCT03756558
This study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of the Cross-Seal vascular closure device in gaining post procedure hemostasis in subjects undergoing interventional procedures requiring an 8 to 18 french size introducer sheath.
NCT04278144
A first-in-human study using BDC-1001 as a single agent and in combination with nivolumab in HER2 expressing advanced malignancies
NCT04247880
Women are highly underrepresented in the construction skilled trades. In addition to facing the industry's well-known physical risks, women are subjected to discrimination, harassment, and skills under-utilization. As a result, tradeswomen have increased risk for injury, stress-related health effects, and high attrition rates from apprenticeship programs, thus perpetuating their minority status. Mentoring is a well-established technique for learning technical and personal navigation skills in new or challenging social environments. The investigators propose development and dissemination of a mentorship program through local unions of the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART), and evaluating its success in reducing women's injury and work stress, while improving retention.
NCT03878199
This phase I/II trial studies the best dose of ruxolitinib when given together with CPX-351 and to see how well they work in treating patients with accelerated phase or blast phase myeloproliferative neoplasm. Ruxolitinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. CPX-351 is a mixture of 2 chemotherapy drugs (daunorubicin and cytarabine) given for leukemia in small fat-based particles (liposomes) to improve the drug getting into cancer cells. Giving ruxolitinib and CPX-351 may work better in treating patients with secondary acute myeloid leukemia compared to CPX-351 alone.
NCT04702451
Atrial Fibrillation (AF) ablation is typically performed in predefined anatomic regions of the left atrium without attempting to identify patient-specific areas of interest. This procedure is referred to as Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI). The hypothesis in this Study is that a tailored ablation strategy targeting areas of spatio-temporal dispersion in combination with PVI is superior to an anatomical ablation strategy targeting PVI alone for the treatment of persistent AF.
NCT04707885
The current study is a randomized multi-center clinical trial that investigates the role an intraoperative hearing monitoring system (electrocochleography) has on helping to save residual hearing in patients undergoing cochlear implantation (CI).
NCT05270837
This is a Phase 3 open-label randomized controlled study enrolling approximately 54 adolescents with PKU. The study is designed to assess the safety and efficacy of pegvaliase injections.
NCT02752035
This was a clinical study for adult participants who were recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia or AML. AML is a type of cancer. It is when bone marrow makes white blood cells that are not normal. These are called leukemia cells. Some participants with AML have a mutation, or change, in the FLT3 gene. This gene helps leukemia cells make a protein called FLT3. This protein causes the leukemia cells to grow faster. For participants with AML who could not receive standard chemotherapy, azacitidine (also known as Vidaza®) was a current standard of care treatment option in the United States. This clinical study tested an experimental medicine called ASP2215, also known as gilteritinib. Gilteritinib worked by stopping the leukemia cells from making the FLT3 protein. This helped stop the leukemia cells from growing faster. This study compared two different treatments. Participants were assigned to one of these two groups by chance: a medicine called azacitidine, also known as Vidaza®, or an experimental medicine gilteritinib in combination with azacitidine. There was a twice as much chance to receive both medicines combined than azacitidine alone. The clinical study may help show which treatment helps patients live longer.
NCT06703021
Phase 2 clinical study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and efficacy of various aleniglipron (GSBR-1290) dose regimens compared with placebo in participants living with obesity or overweight with ≥ 1 weight-related comorbidity, in addition to diet and exercise, over a 44-week period.
NCT03902522
The primary objectives of the trial are to assess the efficacy, clinical safety and tolerability parameters of PRO 140 in combination with failing ART (antiretroviral therapy) during the initial one-week treatment period, and in combination with Optimized Background Therapy during the subsequent 24-week treatment period.
NCT04476017
The primary purpose of this two-part study was to evaluate the safety and tolerability of SAGE-718 and its effects on cognitive, neuropsychiatric, and motor symptoms in participants with Parkinson's disease mild cognitive impairment (PD-MCI).
NCT04000282
Primary Objectives: * Dose Escalation Part A: To determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of SAR442085 administered as a single agent in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM), and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) for the subsequent Expansion Part B * Dose Expansion Part B: To assess the antitumor activity of single agent of SAR442085 at the RP2D in patients with RRMM Secondary Objectives: * To characterize the safety profile of SAR442085 * To characterize the pharmacokinetics (PK) profile of SAR442085 when administered as a single agent * To evaluate the potential immunogenicity of SAR442085 * To assess preliminary evidence of antitumor activity in the Dose Escalation Part A
NCT03596671
The OASIS study is prospective, interventional, multi-center study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the BlueWind RENOVA iStim™ implantable tibial neuromodulation System for the treatment of patients diagnosed with overactive bladder.
NCT04008940
In order to assess the rate and mode of failure cases observed in patients with distal femur fractures treated with a distal femur plates, anonymized radiographs from those patients will be collected retrospectively. All available images will reviewed by an expert review board in regards to fracture classification, implant and surgery details, quality of initial reduction and plate positioning as well as the occurrence of mechanical complications and the outcome in terms of fracture healing (if available). Additionally, age and gender as basic demographical data will be collected in a de-identified way..
