The MILO Study (MEK Inhibitor in Low-grade Serous Ovarian Cancer) is a Phase 3 study during which patients with recurrent or persistent low-grade serous (LGS) carcinomas of the ovary, fallopian tube or primary peritoneum will receive either investigational study drug MEK162 or a chemotherapy chosen by the physician (liposomal doxorubicin, paclitaxel or topotecan). Patients will be followed to compare the effectiveness of the study drug to that of the selected chemotherapies. Patients may be eligible to crossover from physician's choice chemotherapy to MEK162 if they meet certain inclusion criteria including centrally confirmed disease progression. Approximately 360 patients from North America, Europe and Australia will be enrolled in this study.

This is a randomized, double blinded, standard of care controlled clinical trial. All adult patients over eighteen desiring total knee arthroplasty will be eligible. The study compares pain control, opioid consumption, and physical exam findings in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty between patients receiving adductor canal block and those who receiving periarticular injection alone.

This phase II trial studies how well dinutuximab works when given with sargramostim in treating patients with osteosarcoma that has come back after treatment (recurrent). Monoclonal antibodies, such as dinutuximab, may find tumor cells and help kill them. Sargramostim may help the body increase the amount of white blood cells it produces, which help the body fight off infections. Giving dinutuximab with sargramostim may work better and kill more cancer cells.

Extracorporeal Photopheresis (ECP) has been used as one of the treatments for graft versus host disease (GVHD). Responses were observed in skin, liver, GI tract, mouth, eye and lung. ECP does not cause immune suppression and therefore less risk of infection or relapse of malignancy. However, the exact mechanism of action of this expensive procedure is not fully understood and no predictors of response to ECP are known so far. This reflects the need for a better understanding of GVHD and its response to ECP. Blood samples from 15 patients who receive ECP as part of the treatment of GVHD at our institution will be collected. Samples will be analyzed using flow cytometer

This is a Phase 1b/2 study of batiraxcept (AVB-S6-500) designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of batiraxcept in combination with nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine in subjects with locally advanced, recurrent, or metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma as first line therapy. The phase 1b portion of the study is open label and patients will receive batiraxcept, nab-paclitaxel, and gemcitabine. The Phase 2 portion of the study is randomized, 2-arm, open-label study to compare efficacy and tolerability of batiraxcept, nab-paclitaxel, and gemcitabine versus nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine as first line therapy.

Artificial intelligence (AI) shows promising in identifying abnormalities in clinical images. However, systematically biased AI models, where a model makes inaccurate predictions for entire subpopulations, can lead to errors and potential harms. When shown incorrect predictions from an AI model, clinician diagnostic accuracy can be harmed. This study aims to study the effectiveness of providing clinicians with image-based AI model explanations when provided AI model predictions to help clinicians better understand the logic of an AI model's prediction. It will evaluate whether providing clinicians with AI model explanations can improve diagnostic accuracy and help clinicians catch when models are making incorrect decisions. As a test case, the study will focus on the diagnosis of acute respiratory failure because determining the underlying causes of acute respiratory failure is critically important for guiding treatment decisions but can be clinically challenging. To determine if providing AI explanations can improve clinician diagnostic accuracy and alleviate the potential impact of showing clinicians a systematically biased AI model, a randomized clinical vignette survey study will be conducted. During the survey, study participants will be shown clinical vignettes of patients hospitalized with acute respiratory failure, including the patient's presenting symptoms, physical exam, laboratory results, and chest X-ray. Study participants will then be asked to assess the likelihood that heart failure, pneumonia and/or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the underlying diagnosis. During specific vignettes in the survey, participants will also be shown standard or systematically biased AI models that provide an estimate the likelihood that heart failure, pneumonia and/or COPD is the underlying diagnosis. Clinicians will be randomized see AI predictions alone or AI predictions with explanations when shown AI models. This survey design will allow for testing the hypothesis that systematically biased models would harm clinician diagnostic accuracy, but commonly used image-based explanations would help clinicians partially recover their performance.

This is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of FlecIH-103 (flecainide acetate inhalation solution) compared with placebo in patients with recent-onset, symptomatic newly diagnosed or paroxysmal AF. Approximately 400 patients are expected to be enrolled in this study. Patients will be randomized 3:1 to receive FlecIH-103 at a total dose of up to 120 mg estimated total lung dose (eTLD) (n=300) or placebo inhalation solution (n=100). Randomization will be stratified by geographic region (US and ex-US) and duration of symptoms of the current AF episode (≥1 hour to ≤24 hours and \>24 hours to ≤48 hours).

HB-101 is a bivalent recombinant vaccine against human CMV infection. This is a randomized, placebo-controlled, phase 2 study to assess the safety, reactogenicity, immunogenicity, and efficacy of HB-101 in CMV-Seronegative patients receiving a kidney transplant from a CMV-Seropositive living donor and CMV-Seropositive patients.Patients enrolled should have a living donor kidney transplantation ideally planned between two to four months after the first injection of study drug (HB-101 or placebo).

In 1990 and 1991, the U.S. deployed approximately 700,000 troops to the Persian Gulf to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi occupation. While there were few casualties associated with the Gulf War, many individuals returned from this conflict with unexplained symptoms and illnesses. This constellation of symptoms has been termed Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses (GWI). Although several explanations have been offered as to the cause of GWI, none of the putative etiologic agents or conditions is currently supported by sufficient evidence. One explanation that has received fairly widespread attention is systemic Mycoplasma fermentans infection. It is the purpose of this study to determine if antibiotic treatment directed against Mycoplasma species (i.e. doxycycline) will improve functioning and symptoms in deployed Gulf War veterans with GWI.

This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2-like, investigator-directed trial of hospitalized patients with laboratory confirmed influenza. Eligible and consented patients will be randomly assigned, in a 1:1 ratio, to one of two groups: Group 1, the combination treatment group (oseltamivir and baloxavir); Group 2, the standard treatment group (oseltamivir and placebo).
