NCT01427283
The primary objective is to assess the efficacy of oxycodone/naloxone controlled-release tablets (OXN) for the management of opioid-induced constipation (OIC) compared with oxycodone controlled-release tablets (OXY) in subjects with moderate to severe low back pain and opioid-induced constipation who require around-the-clock opioid therapy.
NCT01663532
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the overall efficacy of aripiprazole intramuscular (IM) depot as acute treatment in subjects with schizophrenia. The secondary purpose is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of aripiprazole IM depot administered every 4 weeks for 12 weeks to adult subjects with schizophrenia.
NCT00082758
RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as hu14.18-interleukin-2 fusion protein work in different ways to stimulate the immune system and stop tumor cells from growing. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well hu14.18-interleukin-2 fusion protein works in treating young patients with recurrent or refractory neuroblastoma.
NCT00957996
This is a Phase 3, open-label, randomized study of the antiviral activity, safety, and tolerability of intravenous Peramivir in hospitalized subjects with confirmed or suspected influenza infection.
NCT01519661
This study assessed the long term safety data for the use of tobramycin inhalation powder in patients suffering from cystic fibrosis who have a chronic pulmonary infection with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
NCT01731652
This is a Phase II pilot study to explore the effect of intravesical TMX-101 in patients with CIS bladder cancer, as assessed by histology and cytology after TMX-101 treatment.
NCT00450437
This study will evaluate the lot to lot consistency, safety and immune response of the Novartis Meningococcal ACWY conjugate vaccine in healthy US adolescents and adults.
NCT00332020
The purpose of this study is to assess if 10 mg BAY 59-7939, taken once daily as a tablet, is safe and can help prevent blood clots forming after a hip replacement operation.
NCT01825200
The hypothesis for this trial is that the incidence of a pre-defined composite of common systemic hypersensitivity adverse events for Flublok recipients is non-inferior to that reported for licensed IIV recipients. Another hypothesis is that the safety and reactogenicity of Flublok is clinically acceptable, i.e. consistent with the overall safety profiles previously observed with Flublok and with the licensed comparator.
NCT00420212
To determine if treatment with BG00012 can decrease the number of MS relapses during a certain time period. To determine if, over time, BG00012 treatment can decrease the number of certain types of brain lesions commonly seen in MS patients and slow down the time it takes for the disease to get worse. The purpose of this study is also to determine the safety of BG00012 and how well it is tolerated. Another goal is to see what effect BG00012 may have on tests and evaluations used to assess MS.
NCT01731730
The objectives of this proof of concept study are to evaluate the safety and preventive analgesic efficacy of a single preoperative intrathecal administration of AYX1 Injection in patients undergoing unilateral total knee arthroplasty.
NCT01025037
The purpose of this study is to evaluate patient shoulder functional outcomes following rotator cuff repairs reinforced with a surgical mesh.
NCT01466790
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of TMC435 plus PSI-7977 (GS7977) with or without ribavirin in patients who are chronically infected with genotype 1 hepatitis C virus (HCV) and who did not respond to prior peginterferon/ribavirin therapy or are HCV treatment-naive (patients who never received treatment for HCV infection).
NCT00567853
The purpose of this study is to collect data on the effectiveness and clinical outcomes of the MEMO 3D Annuloplasty ring as used for mitral valve repair.
NCT01673178
This is a trial in obese subjects who have poor lipid control with and without Type 2 diabetes mellitus to study the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of multiple doses of PF-05231023
NCT01831037
This study aims to demonstrate that patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) and B (CHB) experiencing regression of liver cirrhosis after effective antiviral therapy have decreased risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Primary aim is to determine the incidence of HCC in patients with cirrhosis secondary to CHC and CHB, after treatment is provided, and to identify the magnitude of the decreased risk for HCC in patients experiencing regression of fibrosis. As a secondary aim, environmental risk factors for HCC development will be sought, in order to determine a subset of patients in whom it will be safe to stop surveillance.
NCT01602081
The LIFT+Biodesign® study is a post-market observational study to evaluate the rate of fistula closure in patients with persistent trans-sphincteric anal fistula who receive the Biodesign® Tissue graft as part of their LIFT procedure.
NCT01181323
The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the safety of 2 licensed flu vaccines, nasal spray and flu vaccine shot, in mothers and their infants, when given to women who are breastfeeding and to compare the immune response (body's defense against foreign substances) of breastfeeding mothers, who receive intranasal flu vaccine, with breastfeeding mothers receiving the flu vaccine shot. Healthy women (240 volunteers, 28-120 days post delivery) who plan to breastfeed through 28 days post vaccination and who have not received influenza vaccine for the influenza season for which they are being enrolled, will be assigned by chance to 1 of the 2 vaccines in the following manner: flu vaccine nasal spray and a placebo (inactive substance) shot or a flu vaccine shot and a placebo nasal spray. Study procedures include: nasal swabs, blood samples, and completion of memory aids. Participants will be involved in this United States based study for about 6 months.
NCT00809276
The purpose of this research is to find the most effective and least toxic way to prevent GVHD after BMT.
NCT01853345
In this study tumor will be tested for cancer causing gene alterations such as mutations or copy number alterations. This is called tumor profiling. A panel of experts will review the tumor profiling results and determine whether there is a cancer-causing alteration present in the tumor. If there is, the experts will determine if there is a targeted drug available that could counteract this alteration. If there is an alteration identified and a targeted drug available the panel of experts will make an individualized treatment recommendation. The results of the tumor profiling and the individualized treatment recommendation can be shared with the primary oncologist.
