NCT05558384
This is a pilot feasibility study of an investigation of the influence of excess adiposity on cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), and metabolic responses to a standardized aerobic exercise program in cancer survivors. This investigation attempts to isolate the influence of adiposity on these responses. We will enroll overweight, obese, and normal weight cancer survivors with a primary diagnosis of breast, prostate, or colorectal cancer who have completed all cancer-related treatment. Participants will engage in a 15-week aerobic exercise intervention with pre- and post-intervention assessments.
NCT04141891
This Stage II randomized, controlled, longitudinal trial seeks to assess the acceptability, feasibility, and effects of a driving decision aid use among geriatric patients and providers. This multi-site trial will (1) test the driving decision aid (DDA) in improving decision making and quality (knowledge, decision conflict, values concordance and behavior intent); and (2) determine its effects on specific subpopulations of older drivers (stratified for cognitive function, decisional capacity, and attitudinally readiness for a mobility transition). The overarching hypotheses are that the DDA will help older adults make high-quality decisions, which will mitigate the negative psychosocial impacts of driving reduction, and that optimal DDA use will target certain populations and settings.
NCT04402216
This study will evaluate the effectiveness of using virtual reality (VR) to reduce distress in pediatric patients undergoing MRI scans compared to other methods of preparation. Children will be divided into four groups. The investigators hypothesize the children who receive Child Life preparation with VR will experience decreased distress compared to the other 3 treatment groups (no formal preparation, Child Life-led preparation, and MRI preparation video). The investigators also hypothesize that children who receive Child Life-led preparation will experience better decreased distress than current standard of care (no formal preparation) and MRI preparation video.
NCT06087406
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of imvotamab in patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis who have failed prior therapies. Participants will be given imvotamab or placebo through a vein (i.e., intravenously). A placebo is a look-alike substance that contains no active drug
NCT05714059
The purpose of this study is to confirm the safety and effectiveness of the MiniMed 780G insulin pump used in combination with the DS5 CGM in type 1 diabetes adult and pediatric subjects in a home setting.
NCT04356027
The purpose of the FUSION study is to validate the diagnostic performance of Virtual Flow Reserve (VFR) by comparing it against a reference standard, fractional flow reserve (FFR).
NCT04533763
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of a group-based and web-delivered psychosocial intervention for ovarian cancer survivors (Mindful Living \[ML\]) compared to a health promotion condition (Healthy Lifestyles \[HL\]) in increasing health related quality of life (HRQOL) and decreasing perceived stress (primary aim), and decreasing anxiety, depressive mood, and fatigue (secondary aims) across a 12-month period.
NCT03400150
The BioProtect Balloon Implant™ System is intended to temporarily position the anterior rectal wall away from the prostate during radiotherapy for prostate cancer and in creating this space it is the intent of the balloon to reduce the radiation dose delivered to the anterior rectum. The balloon composed of a biodegradable material that maintains that space for the entire course of prostate radiotherapy treatment and is completely absorbed by the patient's body over time.
NCT02698579
This is a multi-center, long-term safety and efficacy follow-up study for participants with cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy (CALD) who have received Lenti-D Drug Product (eli-cel) in a parent clinical study (Study ALD-102 or Study ALD-104). After completing a parent clinical study (approximately 2 years), eligible participants will be followed for an additional 13 years for a total of 15 years post-drug product infusion. No investigational drug product will be administered in this study.
NCT04718675
Part 1: Dose Escalation. The primary objective of Part 1 of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of KB-0742 in participants with relapsed or refractory (R/R) solid tumors or non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Part 2: Cohort Expansion. The primary objective of Part 2 of this study is to further evaluate the safety and tolerability of KB-0742 in defined participant cohorts including Platinum Resistant High Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (HGSOC).
NCT05551195

NCT05013385
This study is open to adults, between 18 and 75 years of age, who have narrowings in the small bowel (strictures) due to Crohn's disease. Strictures can lead to bowel obstruction (blockage). People whose symptoms got worse because of strictures can join the study. Participants get standard treatment for Crohn's disease and the strictures. The purpose of the study is to test whether the strictures improve further when treated with a medicine called spesolimab added to standard treatment. Participants are in the study for about 1 year and 4 months. In the first 3 months, participants get standard treatment only. After 3 months, participants whose condition improved are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. One group gets spesolimab added to their standard treatment. The other group gets placebo added to their standard treatment. Both spesolimab and placebo are given as infusions into a vein. Placebo infusions look like spesolimab infusions but do not contain any medicine. For the first 2 months, participants get the infusions every month. Thereafter, participants get the infusions every 2 months. During the study, participants have about 11 visits to the study site. The doctors regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. At 3 of the visits, doctors take images of the bowel using Magnetic Resonance Imaging and with an endoscope. At these visits, the doctors also take a small sample of bowel tissue (biopsy). The participants note their symptoms of Crohn's disease and how the symptoms affect daily life in an electronic diary. At the end of the study, results from the diaries and bowel imaging are compared between the spesolimab group and the placebo group.
