NCT03573323
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of ixekizumab to guselkumab in participants with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
NCT02377466
The study's primary objective is to demonstrate the superiority of retosiban to prolong pregnancy and improve neonatal outcomes compared with placebo. It is a Phase III, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, multicenter study and will be conducted in approximately 900 females, aged 12 to 45 years, with an uncomplicated, singleton pregnancy and intact membranes in preterm labor between 24\^0/7 and 33\^6/7 weeks of gestation. Eligible maternal subjects will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either retosiban IV infusion or placebo IV infusion over 48 hours. If not previously administered, antenatal corticosteroid treatment should be administered as either (1) two 12-mg doses of betamethasone given intramuscularly 24 hours apart or (2) four 6-mg doses of betamethasone administered intramuscularly every 12 hours. A single rescue course of antenatal corticosteroids is permitted if the antecedent treatment was at least 7 days prior to study enrolment. Investigators have discretion to use a standardized regimen of magnesium sulphate, as well as intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis for perinatal group B streptococcal infection. Prior to randomization, each subject will be stratified by progesterone treatment and gestational age. The progesterone strata will consist of subjects on established progesterone therapy or subjects not on established progesterone therapy at Screening. The study will comprise 6 phases: Screening, Inpatient Randomized Treatment, Post Infusion Assessment, Delivery, Maternal Post-Delivery Assessment, and Neonatal Medical Review. The duration of any subject's (maternal or neonatal) participation in the study will be variable and dependent on gestational ages (GA) at study entry and the date of delivery.
NCT00054236
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Umbilical cord blood transplantation may be able to replace cells destroyed by chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy followed by umbilical cord blood transplantation in treating patients who have hematologic cancer or severe aplastic anemia.
NCT00258401
RATIONALE: Eating a diet low in residue (fiber, fat, and certain milk or vegetable products) may help prevent or reduce diarrhea caused by pelvic radiation therapy. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying a low-residue diet to see how well it works compared to no dietary intervention in treating diarrhea in patients who are undergoing radiation therapy to the pelvis for uterine, cervical, or prostate cancer.
NCT00750009
RATIONALE: Providing information that is tailored to answer patients' questions about clinical trials may help patients with cancer decide to enroll in a clinical trial. It is not known whether providing personalized information is more effective than basic information in helping patients make decisions about clinical trials. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying personalized information to see how well it works compared with basic information in helping patients make decisions about participating in a clinical trial.
NCT00274820
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as arsenic trioxide and dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Sometimes when chemotherapy is given, it does not stop the growth of cancer cells. The cancer is said to be resistant to chemotherapy. Giving ascorbic acid may reduce drug resistance and allow the cancer cells to be killed. Thalidomide may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Giving arsenic trioxide together with ascorbic acid, dexamethasone, and thalidomide may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving arsenic trioxide together with ascorbic acid, dexamethasone, and thalidomide works in treating patients with chronic idiopathic myelofibrosis or myelodysplastic or myeloproliferative disorders.
NCT00740961
RATIONALE: Learning about changes over time in older patients' ability to function after receiving chemotherapy for breast or colon cancer may help doctors learn about the long-term effects of treatment and plan the best treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying older patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer or colon cancer.
NCT02819297
The objective of this study is to evaluate a daily dose of BLI400 Laxative for safety and efficacy versus placebo in constipated adults.
NCT00006259
RATIONALE: Stereotactic radiation therapy may be able to deliver x-rays directly to the tumor and cause less damage to normal tissue. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of stereotactic radiation therapy in treating patients who have brain metastases.
NCT00262938
RATIONALE: Exercise and dietary counseling may affect weight loss and improve the quality of life of obese endometrial cancer patients and may help them live longer and more comfortably. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying the effects of exercise and dietary counseling on weight loss and quality of life of obese patients with stage I or stage II endometrial cancer in remission.
NCT02234583
This is an open-label study of DS-5565 in subjects who either completed participation in a preceding Phase 3 study of DS-5565 in fibromyalgia (FM); i.e. DS5565-A-E309 (NCT02146430), DS5565-A-E310 (NCT02187471), or DS5565-A-E311 (NCT02187159) or are de novo subjects. Eligible subjects will be assigned to receive open-label DS-5565 for 52 weeks. All subjects will receive DS-5565 15 mg once daily (QD) for the first three weeks of the treatment period. After three weeks, subjects may be titrated to 15 mg twice daily (BID) based on protocol-specified criteria.
