NCT00073021
This study is a prospective clinical study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of two different doses of Asacol for the treatment of moderately active ulcerative colitis. In addition, a new tablet formulation will be evaluated at one of the two doses.
NCT00517933
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic lung disease that affects an individual's ability to breathe. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of sildenafil, a medication that increases blood flow to the lungs, at improving breathing function, exercise capacity, and quality of life in people with advanced IPF.
NCT01459913
The purpose of this study is to evaluate if a 12-week total regimen of telaprevir in combination with pegylated interferon alfa 2a (Peg-IFN-alfa-2a) and ribavirin (RBV) (T12/PR12) is safe and effective in subjects who have the interleukin-28B (IL28B) CC genotype. The subjects enrolled in this study will have chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and will not have cirrhosis of the liver.
NCT01270685
The purpose of this study is to evaluate specific approaches used to prevent/reduce influenza transmission in the SCI/D System of Care in response to the 2009 H1N1 pandemic, including assessing infection control strategies used by SCI staff and guidance provided by local infection control units. Due to the rapid spread of and uncertainties about the H1N1 virus, we will evaluate patient's beliefs, behaviors, and information seeking strategies (e.g., social media). These findings will lend to the understanding of ways to handle emergent issues, such as the H1N1 pandemic, in special populations.
NCT00522392
This randomized phase III trial compares bortezomib, dexamethasone, and lenalidomide with bortezomib and dexamethasone to see how well they work in treating patients with multiple myeloma previously treated with dexamethasone. Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Lenalidomide may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. It is not yet known whether giving bortezomib and dexamethasone is more effective with or without lenalidomide in treating multiple myeloma.
NCT01467505
To assess efficacy of telaprevir, pegylated interferon alfa-2a (Peg-IFN-alfa-2a), and ribavirin (RBV) for hepatitis C virus (HCV) in a 48-week total treatment duration regimen following liver transplantation.
NCT01998802
This is a phase III double-masked, randomized, controlled study evaluating the efficacy of EBI-005 as compared to vehicle given as a topical ophthalmic solution in each eye to subjects with moderate to severe DED three times daily for 12 weeks. Approximately 730 subjects at up to approximately 50 centers in the United States will be screened, enrolled into the study.
NCT01783691
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of NKTT120 in adult patients with stable sickle cell disease.
NCT01678963
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of topical ophthalmic squalamine lactate eye drops in treating patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), a degenerative retinal eye disease that causes a progressive, irreversible, severe loss of central vision.
NCT00032370
Although a number of sophisticated diagnostic tests have been shown to be helpful in identifying patients at high risk for perioperative cardiac complications, no study has addressed the most important question: Should prophylactic coronary revascularization be performed prior to elective vascular surgery? This study is designed to answer this question.
NCT02349503
This is a Phase 1, multicenter, open-label, single-dose study to evaluate the safety and tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of NBI-77860 in subjects with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). The study will be conducted in approximately 15 adolescent females (12-18 years of age) with a documented medical diagnosis of classic 21-hydroxylase deficiency CAH. The study will include three independent dose cohorts of NBI-77860 (approximately 5 subjects per dose cohort). Ascending doses will be evaluated as part of a sequential-cohort design.
NCT00689507
H9S-MC-JDCF was a multicenter non-randomized, single-arm, open-label, dose-escalation, dose confirmation, Phase 1 study of intravenous (IV) LY2127399 in combination with bortezomib in patients with refractory or relapsed MM.
NCT01424813
The study will measure the change in lung function in subjects with asthma after inhaling from either of two inhalers: Albuterol Spiromax® or placebo.
NCT00641056
The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of 2.0 mg exenatide once weekly and insulin glargine, titrated to glucose targets using the algorithm described by Yki- Järvinen et al.(2007), with respect to glycemic improvements, body weight, fasting lipids, safety, and tolerability.
NCT01747629
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Albuterol Spiromax® versus placebo in subjects with persistent asthma.
NCT02211300
The objective of this study is to demonstrate that the OptiScanner® is safe and can provide accurate blood glucose levels in critically ill subjects. Accuracy Hypothesis: The assessment of blood glucose level that results from the OptiScanner is comparable to the YSI 2300 STAT Plus™ Glucose and Lactate Analyzer ("YSI Analyzer"; YSI Life Sciences, Yellow Springs, OH). Safety Hypothesis: The OptiScanner has an acceptable risk/benefit profile for a system that can provide repeated automated blood glucose levels for critically ill subjects.
NCT00444561
This exploratory study is designed to evaluate various pharmacodynamic effects of subcutaneously (SC) infused or injected pramlintide in obese, nondiabetic male and postmenopausal female (not on hormone replacement therapy) subjects. The study will also assess the safety and tolerability of pramlintide administered by SC infusion or injection.
NCT01634113
The primary objective of this trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of two doses of tiotropium inhalation solution delivered via the Respimat® inhaler once daily in the afternoon in patients (1 to 5 years old) with persistent asthma on top of inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) treatment.
NCT00234793
The purpose of this study is to help mothers of children with cancer to cope more effectively by increasing their problem-solving skills.
NCT02429882
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of brodalumab compared with placebo in participants with axial spondyloarthritis. Subjects will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to brodalumab or placebo for the first part of the study. Subjects will then receive open label brodalumab for the remainder of the study. The entire study will be 312 weeks in duration for each subject.
