NCT01327885
This is a randomized, open-label, multicenter, Phase 3 study comparing the efficacy and safety of eribulin with dacarbazine in subjects with advanced soft tissue sarcoma who have disease progression within 6 months prior to study enrolment following standard therapies which must have included an anthracycline, unless contraindicated and then at least one additional regimen after failure of the anthracycline.
NCT00003592
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether methotrexate or paclitaxel is more effective in treating patients with advanced head and neck cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of methotrexate with that of paclitaxel in treating patients who have advanced head and neck cancer that cannot be treated with cisplatin.
NCT00005962
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as gemtuzumab ozogamicin can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Combining more than one drug or combining monoclonal antibody with chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells. It is not yet known which treatment regimen is more effective for acute myelogenous leukemia. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to compare the effectiveness of three treatment regimens in treating patients who have relapsed or refractory acute myelogenous leukemia.
NCT00006390
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies such as alemtuzumab can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Peripheral stem cell transplantation may be able to replace immune cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Combining monoclonal antibody therapy, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and peripheral stem cell transplantation may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of alemtuzumab plus peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
NCT00003237
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug, and giving them after surgery, may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy, consisting of paclitaxel and cisplatin, given after surgery in treating patients with cancer of the esophagus or stomach.
NCT00002650
RATIONALE: Chemoprevention therapy is the use of certain drugs to try to prevent the development or recurrence of cancer. The use of folic acid may be an effective way to prevent colorectal cancer in patients with polyps that have been surgically removed. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to study the effectiveness of high-dose folic acid in preventing colorectal cancer in patients who have had polyps surgically removed within 18 months of the trial.
NCT02906202
This is a single-arm, multi-site, single-dose, Phase 3 study in 23 participants less than or equal to (\<=) 50 years of age with transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia (TDT), also known as β-thalassemia major, who do not have a β0 mutation at both alleles of the hemoglobin β (HBB) gene. The study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) using LentiGlobin BB305 Drug Product.
NCT00003236
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to compare the effectiveness of ISIS 5132 with ISIS 3521 in treating women who have metastatic breast cancer that has not responded to previous therapy.
NCT04225260
This is a phase 3, multicenter, open-label study to evaluate the safety of QM1114-DP for the long term treatment of moderate to severe Glabellar (Frown) Lines (GL) and Lateral Canthal Lines (Crow's Feet and LCL).
NCT04111900
The investigators plan to create several sleep/circadian rhythm friendly rooms within the medical intensive care unit to determine if decreasing sleep fragmentation effects recovery in patients hospitalized in the ICU.
NCT00003353
RATIONALE: High-dose chemotherapy may destroy the amyloid-producing cells in bone marrow. Peripheral stem cell transplantation PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of high dose melphalan plus peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have primary systemic amyloidosis.
NCT01593254
The purpose of this study is to test the hypothesis that patients with CML who have not achieved optimal response after 3 months of treatment with imatinib will have a better response by switching to dasatinib compared to staying on their original imatinib regimen.
NCT05909163
The purpose of this study is to identify unique profiles of speech and language changes that distinguish individuals with Parkinson's disease from adults without Parkinson's disease and individuals with Parkinson's disease with cognitive (e.g., memory, thinking skills) impairment from those without cognitive impairment.
NCT01111461
To assess the objective response rate (ORR: complete response + partial response \[CR+ PR\]) of E7080 in subjects with unresectable endometrial cancer and disease progression following platinum-based, first-line chemotherapy. .
NCT03897595
Monitor the performance of the Mpact cup in the treatment of patients with hip joint disease requiring a total hip replacement.
NCT00003308
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of radiation therapy in treating patients with newly diagnosed brain metastases from kidney cancer, melanoma, or sarcoma.
NCT01454934
This is a randomized, open-label, multicenter, Phase 3 study, comparing efficacy and safety of eribulin with TPC in subjects with advanced and disease progression following at least two prior regimens for advanced disease, which should have included a platinum-based regimen.
NCT04381494
A study of whether mobile devices can improve the detection of pulmonary AEs (including pneumonitis) in stage III NSCLC patients post-CRT, while on durvalumab.
NCT05300763
This study is a controlled, randomized, subject-masked, 2-arm parallel, 2-week dispensing, bilateral evaluation where the study lenses are worn for a minimum of 5 days per week and 6 hours per day.
NCT05505136
To determine the associations among biometric data and previously reported medication changes in the original MAPS study
