NCT00324805
This randomized phase III trial studies chemotherapy and bevacizumab to see how well they work compared to chemotherapy alone in treating patients with stage IB, stage II, or stage IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that was removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Bevacizumab also may stop the growth of non-small cell lung cancer by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. It is not yet known whether chemotherapy is more effective with or without bevacizumab in treating non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT06655649
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a common medical disorder that is associated with reduced quality of life and higher risk of cardiovascular disease. Treatments for OSA and limited and not well tolerated. Our lab has shown that a low carbohydrate, high fat ketogenic diet (KD) can reduce OSA severity. Since it can be challenging to adhere to a ketogenic diet, the investigators propose that ingesting exogenous ketones can be an alternative method to improve OSA. Specifically the investigators will examine the effect of taking a commercially available product (Ketone-IQ) at bedtime on overnight ketones and sleep quality. The investigators will also examine the effect of Ketone-IQ on sleep apnea severity, compared to placebo. This project will examine the pharmacokinetics, tolerability, and sleep impacts of ingesting exogenous ketones before sleep in patients with sleep apnea, while under treatment for OSA. \[Aim 2: Examine the preliminary efficacy of ingesting exogenous ketones before sleep on OSA\]
NCT06989112
DESTINY-Endometrial01 will investigate the efficacy of first-line T-DXd + rilvegostomig (Arm A) and/or T-DXd+ pembrolizumab (Arm B) when compared to chemotherapy (carboplatin + paclitaxel) + pembrolizumab (Arm C), by assessment of progression free survival (PFS), as assessed by BICR, in participants with HER2-expressing (IHC 3+/2+), pMMR, primary advanced (Stage III/IV) or recurrent EC.
NCT05024773
This is a phase III, single-arm, multicenter, international study to assess the efficacy and safety of ONCOFID-P-B following intravesical instillation in adult patients with histologically and cytologically confirmed CIS, with or without concomitant Ta-T1, who are unresponsive to BCG therapy and unwilling or unfit to undergo radical cystectomy. After providing written informed consent (in presence of an Independent Witness, if applicable), patients will receive an induction therapy consisting of 12 weekly intravesical instillations of ONCOFID-P-B (induction phase). Patients with residual CIS at the end of induction treatment are eligible to enter a re-induction course of therapy (reinduction phase). Patients with stable disease by Investigator assessment defined as neither increased or decreased in extent or severity compared to baseline, are not eligible for re-induction therapy. Patients who achieve a complete resonde (CR) at the end of the induction or re-induction phase enter in the maintenance phase and receive monthly intravesical instillations of ONCOFID-P-B for an additional 12 monsthe or untile recurrence of CIS/HG Ta-T1 or progression to MIBC or extravesical disease. Patients who do not achieve a CR at the end of induction or re-induction phase, will discontinue investigational treatement and are followed up until month 48 from induction or re-induction start, or until a new antitumor therapy is initiated, wichever occurs first. Tumor response is evaluated by cystoscopy, cytology and biopsy at the end of the induction and re-induction phases and at Safety Follow Up Visit (SFUV). During the maintenance/follow-up period, tumorresponse is evaluated by cystoscopy and cytology every 3 months for up to 24 months from induction or re-induction start, and then every 6 months for an additional 2 years (long-term follow-up). Tumor biopsies are performed in case of of positive cystoscopy and/or cytology. Random biopsies are to be performed at 6, 12 and 18 months after the end of the induction or re-induction phase in responding patients (i.e. at 9, 15 and 21 months after induction or re-induction start.
NCT05534984
The purpose of this study was to see if tecovirimat is safe and successful at treating mpox. The main questions were whether tecovirimat reduced time to lesion resolution and pain compared to placebo (no treatment).
NCT00693992
This randomized phase III trial studies sunitinib malate to see how well it works when given as maintenance therapy (meaning it is approved for treatment after chemotherapy) in patients with stage IIIB-IV non-small cell lung cancer who have responded to prior treatment with combination chemotherapy. Sunitinib malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. It is not yet known whether sunitinib malate is effective in helping tumors continue to shrink or stop growing.
NCT06780085
Researchers are looking for new ways to treat metastatic nonsquamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has been treated before. Metastatic means the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Nonsquamous means the cancer did not start in squamous cells, which are flat cells that line the inside of the lungs. Standard treatment (usual treatment) for NSCLC is surgery, then immunotherapy with or without chemotherapy after surgery. Immunotherapy is a treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer. Chemotherapy is a medicine that works to destroy cancer cells or stop them from growing. However, standard treatment may not work or may stop working for some people. Researchers want to know if 2 antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) can help treat metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC that did not respond (get smaller or go away) to treatment. An ADC attaches to specific targets on cancers cells and delivers treatment to destroy those cells. Researchers will compare 2 different ADCs (the study treatments) to chemotherapy in this study. The goals of this study are to learn: * About the safety of the study treatments and if people tolerate them * How many people have the cancer respond to the study treatments
NCT06549595
This is a global, randomised, Phase III, multicentre, open-label study evaluating the efficacy, safety and the degree of added benefit of the Surovatamig (AZD0486) plus rituximab combination compared to Investigator's choice of 3 standard immunochemotherapy regimen, conducted in participants with untreated FL.
NCT07392372
This study will test the safety and blood levels of the antibody BNT351 in people living without and with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This study will also test the anti-viral activity of BNT351 in people living with HIV (PLWH) with detectable virus levels. The main goals of this study are: * To learn about the safety of BNT351 and check for side effects. * To measure the amount of BNT351 antibody in blood over time. * To test the amount of HIV in the blood at different times after treatment with BNT351 in people living with HIV.
NCT01432847
Background: \- Best Vitelliform Dystrophy (Best disease), Late-Onset Retinal Degeneration (L-ORD), and Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) all affect the retina, the light sensing area at the back of the eye. Doctors cannot safely obtain retinal cells to study these diseases. However, cells collected from hair follicles, skin, saliva, urine, and blood can be used for research. Researchers want to collect cells from people with Best disease, L-ORD, and AMD, and compare their cells with those of healthy volunteers. Objectives: \- To collect hair, skin, saliva, urine, and/or blood samples to study three eye diseases that affect the retina: Best disease, L-ORD, and AMD. Eligibility: * Individuals affected with ocular condition is one year of age or older. * Individuals affected with Best disease, L-ORD, or AMD is 18 years of age or older. * Unaffected individuals are seven years of age or older. Design: * The study requires one visit to the National Eye Institute. * Participants will be screened with a medical and eye disease history. They may also have an eye exam. * Participants will provide a hair sample, saliva sample, urine sample, blood sample, and/or a skin biopsy. The hair will be collected from the back of the head, and the skin will be collected from the inside of the upper arm.
