NCT03423121
This study aims to identify the safety and tolerability of bile acid supplementation in patients with progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Participants will also be assessed for an impact of the bile acid on their immune system and gut microbiome. Half of the participants will receive the bile acid tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) and half will receive placebo. The investigators believe participants who take TUDCA will have normalization of blood bile acid levels, a normalization of abnormal immune response and a normalization of the gut microbiome.
NCT02993120
This is a multicenter observational cohort study with both retrospective and prospective data collection components in subjects with ASCVD. The purpose of this study is to better understand cholesterol treatment patterns in the context of a changing landscape in subjects with ASCVD.
NCT01860560

NCT05826756
LUNGevity Foundation, a non-profit lung cancer organization, wants to learn about living with lung cancer from the point of view of people with lung cancer and their family and friends who provide care. To do this, we have an online study designed to better understand how treatments people living with lung cancer receive impact their quality of life. Participants will complete surveys once a month for 12 months. What does participation involve? 1. Emailing the study team to learn more and get access to the study website. 2. Once a month for 12 months you will receive a survey by email. 3. Complete these surveys on a smartphone, tablet, or computer at your convenience and receive an e-gift card for your time.
NCT02611102
Determine the effects on lipoprotein profiles of high dose concentrated dietary SFA (saturated fatty acids) (from MCT (medium-chain triglyceride) oil + butter) in combination added to coffee. The study will be conducted as a RCT in healthy adults without cardiometabolic disease or conditions that influence lipoprotein metabolism or other specific dietary recommendations.
NCT03808727
The purpose of this study is to determine if cognitive processing therapy (CPT) delivered in a massed format (MCPT) is as effective as standard delivery of CPT. MCPT will be delivered in an intensive outpatient setting (12 sessions in 5 days) composed of both group and individual sessions. Standard delivery of CPT consists of 12 sessions over 6 weeks and involves only individual sessions. Assessment of PTSD and related symptoms will be conducted at pre-treatment and 1 month and 4 months following treatment in both conditions. Additionally, in order to compare the treatment groups at the same point in actual time, each group will be assessed at the one month posttreatment time point for the other condition.
NCT00057304
The objective of the study is to determine the dose(s) of Ro 205-2349 which, when compared to placebo, are efficacious, safe and tolerable in improving glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Doses of 2 to 5 mg/day will be studied.
NCT00272987
This study was originally designed as a Phase III randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study to assess the safety and tolerability, and efficacy of paclitaxel plus trastuzumab plus lapatinib compared with paclitaxel plus trastuzumab plus placebo in women with ErbB2 overexpressing metastatic breast cancer. The planned study was a two stage design with an initial open-label safety stage to be conducted in approximately 65 subjects followed by a randomized phase conducted in a further 700 subjects. The open-label part of the study sequentially enrolled three cohorts with patients receiving a different dose combination of paclitaxel, trastuzumab and lapatinib. Following poor recruitment rate in the open label stage, the randomized stage of the study was terminated, thus no subjects were enrolled into the randomization stage.
NCT03657043
This trial will study tisotumab vedotin to find out what its side effects are and to see if it works for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer (PROC). It will test different doses of tisotumab vedotin that are given at different times. It will also compare the side effects and ability to treat tumors of these different doses and schedules. In this study, there will be a safety run-in group of approximately 12 patients that will look at a dose-dense treatment schedule. In a dose-dense schedule, smaller doses are given more frequently. In addition to the safety run-in patients, there will be three groups in the study. One group will get tisotumab vedotin once every 3 weeks (21-day cycles). The two other groups will get tisotumab vedotin once a week for 3 weeks followed by 1 week off (28-day cycles).
NCT02800785
For the past 130 years, appendectomy has been the standard treatment for appendicitis. Recent studies from Europe have challenged the notion that surgery is the best option, showing that antibiotics alone can treat appendicitis without a need for appendectomy in as many as 3 out of 4 patients and without safety issues for up to one year of follow up. Despite these results, it remains to be determined if the antibiotic strategy is as good as an appendectomy for the outcomes that most patients care about. The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)-funded Comparison of Outcomes of Drugs and Appendectomy (CODA) trial will be the first American, and largest-ever randomized trial of the issue and its results should help surgeons and patients make more informed healthcare decisions.
NCT04585451
PainQx is conducting a study to collect electroencephalography (EEG) data from 250 people with chronic pain and 50 healthy controls in order to develop algorithms that will objectively assess the level of pain a person is experiencing.
NCT00841789
The purpose of this study is to determine whether Etanercept (Enbrel) when used in conjunction with IVIG and aspirin, improves treatment response to IVIG in patients with Kawasaki Disease. Funding Source- FDA/OOPD
NCT03747575
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of MSTT1041A (astegolimab) in participants with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD). The study consists of a screening period, a 16-week treatment period, and an 8-week follow-up period.
NCT02376699
This study is being done to find out if SEA-CD40 is safe and effective when given alone, in combination with pembrolizumab, and in combination with pembrolizumab, gemcitabine, and nab-paclitaxel. The study will test increasing doses of SEA-CD40 given at least every 3 weeks to small groups of patients. The goal is to find the highest dose of SEA-CD40 that can be given to patients that does not cause unacceptable side effects. Different dose regimens will be evaluated. Different methods of administration may be evaluated. The pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamic effects, biomarkers of response, and antitumor activity of SEA-CD40 will also be evaluated.

NCT03510884
Primary Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of alirocumab administered every 2 weeks (Q2W) and every 4 weeks (Q4W) versus placebo after 24 weeks of double-blind (DB) treatment on low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels in participants with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (heFH) 8 to 17 years of age on optimal stable daily dose of statin therapy ± other lipid modifying therapies (LMTs) or a stable dose of non-statin LMTs in case of intolerance to statins. Secondary Objectives: * To evaluate the efficacy of alirocumab versus placebo on LDL-C levels. * To evaluate the effects of alirocumab versus placebo on other lipid parameters. * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab in comparison with placebo. * To evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of alirocumab after open label treatment. * To evaluate the development of anti-alirocumab antibodies.
NCT00071084
The purpose of this trial is to determine the effect of HuMax-CD4, as a treatment for advanced stage (late stage) cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). Almost all participants who are affected by late stage CTCL have many cancerous cells which bear a receptor called CD4. HuMax-CD4 is an investigational drug directed against this receptor. There is no placebo in this trial; all participants will be treated with HuMax-CD4. The response rates, duration of responses, relief of symptoms, and safety profile of HuMax-CD4 will be evaluated during this trial.
