This phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works in treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer that progressed after first-line therapy with gemcitabine. Sunitinib may stop the growth of pancreatic cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor and by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT01675674
This study is being done to learn how many children and young adults who come to pediatric rheumatology clinics may have mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). The study tests for 4 of the types of MPS: I, II, IVA, and VI. This can help researchers decide whether to create a screening program for MPS at pediatric rheumatology clinics. This study is being done in rheumatology clinics because the first symptoms of MPS are often joint problems such as stiff joints, and rheumatologists may be the first doctors that a patient with MPS visits. The study will also evaluate the utility of dried blood spot testing for MPS.
NCT00002796
Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Interferon-gamma may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of the tumor. Combining more than one drug with interferon-gamma may kill more tumor cells. This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of giving fluorouracil together with phenylbutyrate, indomethacin, and interferon-gamma and to see how well it works in treating patients with stage IV colorectal cancer
