NCT01658943
This randomized phase II trial studies how well selumetinib and Akt inhibitor MK2206 work compared to modified fluorouracil, leucovorin calcium, and oxaliplatin (mFOLFOX) therapy in treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer previously treated with chemotherapy. Selumetinib and Akt inhibitor MK2206 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as oxaliplatin, and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet know whether selumetinib and Akt inhibitor MK2206 are more effective than oxaliplatin and fluorouracil in treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
NCT01640756
To establish the safety and performance of the AqueSys Microfistula Implant in eyes with refractory glaucoma.
NCT01517516
The structural/RSN study involves Structural and Resting State Neuroimaging. The purpose of Structural Neuroimaging is to use MRI technology to identify cortical and white matter morphometric differences between patients with chronic pain conditions and healthy control subjects. The purpose of the Resting State Neuroimaging study is to use functional MRI to identify possible disease related differences in various resting state networks in the brain. In addition we are looking at the effect gut microbiota on brain function in healthy and IBS participants. The overall goal is to identify structural and functional brain differences in persons with chronic pain conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS, Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome(CVS) and vestibulodynia/vulvodynia. We are also looking at Inflammatory Bowel Disease(ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. We will be comparing differences between these conditions and matched healthy control subjects.
NCT00390234
This phase II trial is studying how well ziv-aflibercept works in treating patients with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic gynecologic soft tissue sarcoma. Ziv-aflibercept may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
NCT00306852
The purpose of the Tube Versus Trabeculectomy (TVT) Study is to compare the safety and efficacy of nonvalved tube shunt surgery to trabeculectomy with mitomycin C in patients with previous ocular surgery.
NCT00110019
This randomized phase III trial studies carboplatin, paclitaxel, and sorafenib tosylate to see how well they work compared to carboplatin and paclitaxel in treating patients with stage III or stage IV melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Sorafenib tosylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. It is not yet known whether giving carboplatin and paclitaxel together with sorafenib tosylate is more effective than carboplatin and paclitaxel in treating melanoma.
NCT02531152
Primary Objective: To assess the local and systemic safety and tolerability of ascending repeated topical doses of SAR366234 monotherapy in patients with open angle glaucoma (OAG) or ocular hypertension (OHT) as compared to latanoprost. Secondary Objective: To assess the pharmacodynamic activity of ascending repeated topical doses of SAR366234 in patients with OAG or OHT as compared to latanoprost.
NCT00057759
RATIONALE: Sildenafil may be effective in helping patients who have undergone treatment for prostate cancer to have an erection for sexual activity and may improve sexual satisfaction and quality of life. PURPOSE: Randomized clinical trial to study the effectiveness of sildenafil in treating erectile dysfunction in patients who have undergone radiation therapy and hormone therapy for prostate cancer in clinical trial RTOG-9910.
NCT01836042
The purpose of this study is to assess the long-term safety of the Glaukos® iStent® Trabecular Micro-Bypass Stent Model GTS100R/L in subjects previously enrolled in Glaukos Study GC-003.
NCT01727141
This study will assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability of QVA149 in patients with moderate to severe airflow limitation.
NCT01458951
This study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tofacitinib (CP-690,550) in patients with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis who have failed or be intolerant to one of following treatments for ulcerative colitis: oral steroids, azathiopurine/6-mercaptopurine, or anti-TNF-alpha therapy.
NCT01669174
This study will assess the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, safety and tolerability of BYM338 in patients with COPD and cachexia. The primary outcome will be a change in thigh muscle volume compared to placebo. The study will last for approximately 24 weeks.
NCT01437878
This is a phase 2, Multi-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the effects of inhaled Iloprost in patients with pulmonary hypertension secondary to COPD. The main objective is to investigate the effect of iloprost on exercise endurance time during constant work rate cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Other efficacy and safety endpoints will additionally be analyzed.
NCT01922089
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of initiating LCZ696 in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction (HF-rEF) using conservative (reaching target dose over 6 weeks) and condensed (reaching target dose over 3 weeks) up-titration regimens.
NCT00323518
CG53135-05 (velafermin), a recombinant human fibroblast growth factor-20 (rhFGF-20) protein, is under investigation for the prevention of oral mucositis. Oral mucositis is a commonly occurring side effect of high-dose chemotherapy in patients undergoing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant. The objective of this Phase II trial is to confirm the safety and efficacy of CG53135-05 (velafermin) when administered as a single dose to patients at risk for developing oral mucositis.
NCT01587079
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of Glycopyrrolate/Formoterol Fumarate MDI relative to individual components (GP MDI and FF MDI) in subjects with moderate to severe COPD
NCT01609062
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the safety of a 2.0 mg/kg/week and a 4.0 mg/kg/week of BMN 110 in patients with Morquio A syndrome for up to 196 weeks. Secondary objectives were to investigate the effect of the two doses on exercise capacity for up to 196 weeks. In addition, the pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters of both doses of BMN 110 was assessed.
NCT02006732
The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of 12 weeks once daily treatment with orally inhaled tiotropium + olodaterol FDC (delivered by the Respimat inhaler) compared with tiotropium and placebo in patients with COPD.
