NCT00323518
CG53135-05 (velafermin), a recombinant human fibroblast growth factor-20 (rhFGF-20) protein, is under investigation for the prevention of oral mucositis. Oral mucositis is a commonly occurring side effect of high-dose chemotherapy in patients undergoing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant. The objective of this Phase II trial is to confirm the safety and efficacy of CG53135-05 (velafermin) when administered as a single dose to patients at risk for developing oral mucositis.
NCT01213641
The purpose of this observational study is to collect additional information regarding long-term safety and effectiveness of Ilaris in the treatment of CAPS patients in clinical practice.
NCT01609062
The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the safety of a 2.0 mg/kg/week and a 4.0 mg/kg/week of BMN 110 in patients with Morquio A syndrome for up to 196 weeks. Secondary objectives were to investigate the effect of the two doses on exercise capacity for up to 196 weeks. In addition, the pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters of both doses of BMN 110 was assessed.
NCT00390234
This phase II trial is studying how well ziv-aflibercept works in treating patients with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic gynecologic soft tissue sarcoma. Ziv-aflibercept may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
NCT01437878
This is a phase 2, Multi-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the effects of inhaled Iloprost in patients with pulmonary hypertension secondary to COPD. The main objective is to investigate the effect of iloprost on exercise endurance time during constant work rate cardiopulmonary exercise testing. Other efficacy and safety endpoints will additionally be analyzed.
NCT00603044
The purpose of this research is to find out how a nasal spray (fluticasone furoate), sometimes given to children with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), works on certain cells within a child's adenoids. We hypothesize that intranasal steroids lead to an upregulation of T regulatory cells in the adenoid tissues of children with OSAS. This will result in a local reduction in inflammation and edema explaining the improvement in OSAS.
NCT01802723
Dose Ranging Study
NCT01727141
This study will assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability of QVA149 in patients with moderate to severe airflow limitation.
NCT01715298
The study serves to determine whether the treatment of patients with stable, symptomatic Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) with the investigational drug NVA237 is efficient and safe. The efficacy and safety of the drug will be tested against a placebo treatment. The primary criterion to assess efficacy will be the difference between the serial lung function measurements of patients who have been treated for 12 weeks with NVA237 versus those that have received placebo treatment for 12 weeks. A serial lung function measurement (FEV1 testing) will be conducted and the "area under the curve" will be the measure for the ability to breathe.
NCT00057759
RATIONALE: Sildenafil may be effective in helping patients who have undergone treatment for prostate cancer to have an erection for sexual activity and may improve sexual satisfaction and quality of life. PURPOSE: Randomized clinical trial to study the effectiveness of sildenafil in treating erectile dysfunction in patients who have undergone radiation therapy and hormone therapy for prostate cancer in clinical trial RTOG-9910.
NCT01805180
The purpose of this study is to compare the procedures for the collection PMN cells on Terumo BCT's Spectra Optia® and COBE® Spectra Apheresis Systems.
NCT01964352
The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of 12 weeks once daily treatment with orally inhaled tiotropium + olodaterol FDC (delivered by the Respimat inhaler) compared with tiotropium and placebo in patients with COPD.
NCT00457977
Pneumococcal disease is a serious bacterial infection that can affect different parts of the body, including the lungs. People with chronic illnesses, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), have a greater risk of developing pneumonia and meningitis as a result of pneumococcal disease. This study will compare the immune response to two types of pneumococcal vaccines in adults with COPD.
NCT01294293
This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of TLR8 agonist VTX-2337 and pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride in treating patients with recurrent or persistent ovarian epithelial, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cavity cancer. Biological therapies, such as TLR8 agonist VTX-2337, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving TLR8 agonist VTX-2337 together with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride or paclitaxel may kill more tumor cells.
NCT00146770
This study is being conducted to collect additional long-term efficacy and safety data of Aldurazyme® (laronidase) patients with MPS I disease. Patients who were previously enrolled in the Phase 3 Double-Blind Study will be enrolled in this study.
NCT00608361
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of dasatinib in treating patients with solid tumors or lymphomas that are metastatic or cannot be removed by surgery. Dasatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT00130715
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of Seprafilm in reducing the incidence of bowel obstruction and to evaluate the incidence of all serious adverse events (SAEs) associated with the use of Seprafilm occurring within 30 days postoperatively, and the incidence of abdominopelvic abscess within 6 months postoperatively.
NCT01376297
NETU-10-29 is a clinical study assessing safety of netupitant and palonosetron, two antiemetic drugs, both given with oral dexamethasone. The objective of the study is to evaluate if netupitant and palonosetron are safe when administered to prevent nausea and vomiting after administration of repeated cycles of chemotherapy.
NCT00720499
The primary objective of this study is to determine the optimum dose(s) of BI 1744 CL administered with 5 microgram tiotropium bromide solution for inhalation, delivered by the Respimat® inhaler, once daily for four weeks in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
NCT02136940
The objective of this parallel group study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of AMA0076 in reduction of intraocular pressure in subjects with primary open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
