NCT00581932
This is a study designed to identify genetic polymorphisms (also called allelic variants or genetic markers) that are associated with response to clozapine. This information will be used to enhance the understanding of clozapine response and side effects. DNA from patients will be examined for significant associations between allelic variants in candidate genes in relation to clozapine effects on positive and negative symptoms, global response, quality of life, relapse rates and side effects.
NCT03146364
This Cross-sectional Study Included Patients that diagnosed with schizophrenia, aged 18-55, 20 of which hospitalized in mental health department and 20 in medical follow-up. Different test will be administered, in two or three sessions, to evaluate cognitive ability, function ability and participation. The results of the VIS shopping task performance (statically \& dynamically) and its correlation with the cognitive and function tests as well as the participation questionnaire will be examined. These findings will indicate whether the shopping task is valid to assess executive functions for people with schizophrenia and whether it is ecologically valid.
NCT00288340
The goal of the project is to characterize abnormalities in brain structure and function related to schizophrenia. The investigators will use advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to measure the degree and distribution of neuronal activity during specific cognitive tasks, alterations in neuronal connectivity, and how these are related to disease symptoms and treatment.
