Cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome (CHS) is one of the severe complication after carotid artery stenting with a high mortality rate. CHS was defined as cerebral hyperperfusion (CH) with clinical symptoms such as unilateral headache, convulsions, hemiparesis/hemiplegia, visual disturbances, ataxia, aphasia, while CH could be a disastrous outcome causing complication after carotid revascularization if not managed properly and timely. This is a single-center prospective cohort study to investigate the risks of CH after carotid artery stenting. All patients with severe carotid artery stenosis underwent carotid arterial ultrasonography and dynamic cerebral autoregulation (dCA) test by transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) before operation. The postoperative carotid ultrasound and transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) results are also needed. The investigators will collect this test data at 48h, 1 month and 3months after carotid artery stenting(CAS). According to the examination results, they were divided into two groups: CH group and non-CH group. The investigators will collect data before CAS, on all participants' age, sex, heart rate, BP and end-tidal carbon dioxide (ET-CO2) and the following information from the patients : (i)demographic data, such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, smoking and body mass index; (ii) relevant clinical symptoms; (iii) preoperative colour Doppler ultrasonography(CDU)and transcranial Doppler sonography(TCD) results; (iv) The cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV) of the middle cerebral artery(MCA) induced will be measured by non-invasively and continuously dCA test. This study could be aimed to analyze the factors influencing cerebral hyperperfusion after CAS. The purpose of this study will be to perform more precise risk stratification for high-risk CH patients and improve the quality of life of them. Statistical Analysis The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS)software Version 26.0 (IBM, New York, USA) will be used for statistical analyses. The indicators with P \< 0.2 in the univariate analysis will be entered into a logistic regression analysis to investigate the independent risk factors for CH after CAS. All tests will be performed two sided, and a P \< 0.05 will be considered statistically significant.

The general treatment expectations of patients play a significant role in determining the outcomes of the different treatments they undergo. When it comes to physiotherapy programs, these expectations act as non-specific treatment components, capable of triggering subjective psychological changes and eliciting mechanisms that resemble placebo effects. When theory-based, multidimensional measurement tools that evaluate patients' expectations from various treatments are examined, the Treatment Expectation Questionnaire (TEX-Q) questionnaire stands out. The aim of this study is to ensure the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of this form, which can be answered by every patient receiving various treatments, as an objective alternative and to be included among other treatment expectancy measurement tools.

This is a pilot study aimed at acquiring primary physiological data, describing and estimating the effects of a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist (ondansetron) on respiratory drive in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The results of this study will determine the interest and feasibility of assessing the clinical applications of ondansetron in reducing patient self-inflicted lung injury (P-SILI) in ARDS, in subsequent studies.

The patients who have undergone thoracotomy operation will include in the study. All patients have chest physiotherapy in the intensive care unit. Patients will be randomized and divided into two groups. One group will be given an exercise form with details and photographs of the exercises. No documents will be given to the other group. The program includes breathing exercises, incentive spirometry study, coughing and graded ambulation. After 1 intensive care session, patients are admitted to the service rooms due to routine procedures. The patients will be served in the afternoon and will be questioned whether they are performing their exercises or not.

The intensive care unit (ICU) is recognizably detrimental to sleep and circadian health, and critical survivors frequently report the presence of alterations in this regard after hospital discharge. However, an appropriate evaluation of sleep and circadian rhythms is often neglected given the high associated cost and/or the need of collaboration of the patients. In this project, the investigators propose alternatives to ultimately improve the management of sleep and circadian health after critical illness. The researchers will evaluate the role of microRNA (miRNAs) expression profile in identifying the compromised sleep and circadian health of critical patients during the ICU stay, in the short (3 months after hospital discharge), and in the long-term (12 months after hospital discharge). Also, models based on machine learning techniques will be developed to predict adverse outcomes in this regard after hospital discharge.

In the proposed study, the investigators will conduct qualitative interviews and focus groups with Black, Hispanic, and medically underserved communities, living in the rural south and will provide a quantitative survey (mixed methods) to identify reasons for vaccine hesitancy, including any structural barriers experienced by this population. The investigators will assess what vaccination messaging was received by trusted individuals and how this messaging may have impacted vaccination behavior. This mixed methods study design will allow for a comprehensive picture of vaccine equity and hesitancy for this population. The quantitative survey provides a focused and concrete uncovering of the issues and relationships and the qualitative design allows for a detailed, contextualized insight into lived experiences. Coupled together, this mixed methods design will provide a rich depiction of the underlying drivers of vaccine hesitancy, structural barriers to vaccination, and messaging that impacted uptake for medically underserved and rural populations.

A study of the skeletal structure and how the structure changes over time. The aim of the study is to evaluate the skeleton in 10 year increments to determine an understanding of the normal skeleton as a person ages. By using x-ray analysis, a new low dose x-ray system (EOS) can be used to evaluate the whole body to see changes in the bone structure over time. Subjects will be asked to undertake one x-ray analysis of their whole body skeletal structure. There will be 25 male and 25 female subjects per decade. The averaging of the measured skeletal parameters will provide information on changes over time generating a standardized expectation of general changes in skeletal structure as participants age.

The use of robotic rehabilitation, a treatment method for improving the motor functions of the upper extremities, is gradually increasing in children with cerebral palsy. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of robot-assisted rehabilitation for the upper extremity on upper extremity functions, manual skills and quality of life in patients with unilateral or bilateral/triplegic spastic cerebral palsy and also to compare the effect of robot-assisted upper extremity rehabilitation compared to traditional rehabilitation methods.

Preprocedural, preoperative, and prevascular access anxiety in pediatric patients has been previously shown to increase the likelihood of family stressors, agitation, sleep disturbances, and negative behavioral changes. The purpose of this study is to determine if a non-invasive distracting device (Virtual Reality (VR) headset, Augmented Reality (AR) headset, or bed mounted Video Projection unit (i.e. BERT, Bedside EnterRtainment Theater)) is more effective than the standard of care (i.e., no technology based distraction) for preventing anxiety before non-invasive surgical sub-specialty procedures among children during out-patient clinic visits. Examples of the most common procedures include, but are not limited to gastrostomy tube exchanges, suture removals, dressing changes, foley insertions, EEG set up, chest tube removals, cast removals, pin removals and other similar procedures. (The investigators refer to these procedures under an umbrella term of non-invasive surgical subspecialty procedures). The anticipated primary outcome will be reduction of child's anxiety during and after procedures.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of Foquest® on sleep, using actigraphy and sleep diaries, in children aged 6-12 compared to baseline on no medication. Sleep difficulties, including prolonged sleep onset latency and decreased total sleep time have a significant negative impact on the functioning of children. In adults, sleep deprivation may result in drowsiness and yawning. However, in children, this may manifest as mood and behavioural disturbances which may even mimic the classic symptoms of ADHD; hyperactivity, poor impulse control, and inattention. This can in turn negatively affect the day to day activities of a child such as social interactions and learning. A meta-analysis in 2015 showed that stimulant medications impair sleep of children and adolescents. Some researchers have argued that stimulant medication may improve sleep. Importantly there appears to be heterogeneity in the effects of stimulant medication on sleep with some people sleeping better and some people worse after taking Foquest®. Although the randomized controlled trials done to date have demonstrated the efficacy and outlined the safety profile of Foquest, there remains some unanswered questions about the practical implications in the real-world setting. Some clinicians have raised the concern, for example, that the extended duration of Foquest, may have a negative impact on sleep. This study will evaluate the effect of Foquest® on sleep and particularly sleep latency and self and parent reported sleep restorative quality. This would be a novel study as there is no objective or subjective data on the effect of the Foquest® on sleep latency and total sleep time in children aged 6-12.
