NCT00441090
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy, safety and tolerability, of AKR-501 (avatrombopag) tablets, as compared to placebo, in the treatment of participants with chronic Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP).
NCT02349139
This study will be conducted in three parts. Part A is a dose-escalation study to determine two safe and tolerable doses of ASN001 for men with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer. Part A will also characterize the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the ASN001 through blood sampling. Subjects in Part B will receive one of two doses identified in Part A to determine which one is more effective, and collect additional pharmacokinetic data. Part C is an extension for subjects completing either Part A or B.
NCT00658359
This is a study that will follow transplant patients from Study A3921030 to monitor for long term safety, tolerability and efficacy for 5 additional years, except in Portugal where the study will follow transplant patients through Month 36 posttransplant. Patients will continue their study medications that were previously assigned.
NCT00719303
This randomized phase III trial studies whether changes in diet and physical activity can increase the length of survival without the return of cancer (progression-free survival) compared with usual care in patients with previously treated stage II, III, or IV ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. A healthy diet and physical activity program and counseling may help patients make healthier lifestyle choices. It is not yet known whether changes in diet and exercise may help increase progression-free survival in patients with previously treated cancer.
NCT00068250
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy such as methotrexate and temozolomide use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as rituximab can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage cancer cells. Combining methotrexate, temozolomide, and rituximab with radiation therapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of temozolomide when given together with methotrexate and rituximab followed by radiation therapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma.
NCT02228811
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the safety of the investigational drug DCC-2701 and whether it will work to help people who have advanced solid tumors or cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
NCT02020889
The purpose of this randomized, double-blind study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of mepolizumab (300 milligram \[mg\] administered subcutaneously \[SC\] every 4 weeks) compared with placebo over a 52-week study treatment period in subjects with relapsing or refractory Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA) receiving standard of care therapy including background corticosteroid therapy with or without immunosuppressive therapy. During the treatment period, in accordance with standard of care, corticosteroid dose will be tapered. The key outcomes in the study focus on evaluation of clinical remission, defined as Birmingham Vasculitis Activity Score (BVAS)=0 with a corticosteroid dose of \<=4 mg/day prednisolone/prednisone, reduction in disease relapse and reduction in corticosteroid requirement.
NCT01460134
This is a study of CDX-1127, a therapy that targets the immune system and may act to promote anti-cancer effects. The study enrolls patients with hematologic cancers (certain leukemias and lymphomas), as well as patients with select types of solid tumors.
NCT00408694
This phase II trial is studying how well giving bevacizumab together with cisplatin, radiation therapy, and fluorouracil works in treating patients with stage IIB, stage III, stage IVA, or stage IVB nasopharyngeal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of nasopharyngeal cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving bevacizumab together with chemotherapy and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
NCT02667288
This is an open-label safety study. During this study, the investigator will identify 4 eligible SK Target Lesions on each subject on the trunk, extremities and face.
NCT01524666
This is a nonblinded Case-only study that evaluates the effects of Agmatine Sulfate on small fiber peripheral neuropathy. Patients will be started on Agmatine sulfate (a metabolite of Arginine) and monitored for two months. Improvement will be noted on their response to the Neuropathic Pain Questionnaire. Additionally the investigators will note improvement by performing autonomic function testing at the beginning and end of the study.
NCT01093482
The objective of this study is to obtain a better understanding of the spectrum of use of mechanical ventilation in intensive care units: 1. Main analysis: To know the all-cause mortality rate in mechanically ventilated patients 2. Secondary analyses: * To know the current status of mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit and determine the number and percentage of patients who are admitted to an intensive care unit and require mechanical ventilation. * To compare the results with prior data collected in previous observational studies (1998 and 2004) * Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation * Weaning * Use of adjuvant therapies as steroids or selective digestive decontamination * Sedation including prevalence of delirium in mechanically ventilated patients * Prediction of the duration of mechanical ventilation * Other
NCT01806597
Purpose of the study was to demonstrate the efficacy of secukinumab versus placebo on palmoplantar psoriasis and to assess the long term efficacy, safety and tolerability of secukinumab.
NCT02327013
The purpose is to determine the effect of vortioxetine treatment on ADHD symptoms in adult patients with ADHD in a 12 weeks study.
NCT00949715
The purpose of the Optimize RV Follow-Up study is to determine the long-term effect of selective site pacing. Selective site pacing refers to which area of the right ventricle the lead is placed. The goal of selective site pacing is to improve how the heart contracts when paced.
