NCT03093870
This protocol for Varlitinib is developed for the treatment of Biliary Tract Cancer. Varlitinib (also known as ASLAN001) is a small-molecule, adenosine triphosphate competitive inhibitor of the tyrosine kinases - epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER)2, and HER4. Varlitinib may be beneficial to subjects with cancer by simultaneous inhibition of these receptors. The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of Varlitinib in combination with capecitabine for the treatment of Biliary Tract Cancer. Treatment groups are Varlitinib+capecitabine and Placebo + capecitabine
NCT00931762
This study assessed the safety and efficacy of Panobinostat as a single agent in the treatment of Primary Myelofibrosis, Post-Polycythemia Vera and Post-Essential Thrombocythemia. There were two cohorts - participants with JAK2 mutation and participants without JAK2 mutation.
NCT02910466
Chronic hypoparathyroidism is a life-long and irreversible disease for which the chronic administration of rhPTH(1-84) is a potential treatment option. The group of participants in the AAAE0544 core study has been taking rhPTH(1-84) for the treatment of hypoparathyroidism for up to 11 years. This study is designed to extend this experience and gain knowledge about how safe and effective rhPTH(1-84) is in participants with hypoparathyroidism over a long-term duration.
NCT04975542
This study focused on improving breathing mechanics by using various osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT) techniques. The investigators randomly assigned participants to a control group who received sham treatment and a treatment group who received OMT. The investigators measured variable pre- and post- treatment on both groups. The investigators observed an improvement in breathing mechanics in the treatment group.
NCT02406651
A Phase IIa single arm open-label study to investigate the safety, tolerability, and PK of F-652 in combination with systemic corticosteroids in subjects who have undergone Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) and have newly diagnosed grade II-IV lower GI acute Graft Verses Host Disease (aGVHD). Treatment with F-652 will be once a week for 4 weeks, with post treatment follow up visits on days 28, 56, 180 and 365.
NCT00391430
This study will evaluate which parts of the brain are affected by treatment with behavioral therapy versus medication therapy in people with post-traumatic stress disorder.
NCT03683797
NYU Langone Health patients receive a call from a clinical care coordinator after they are discharged from the hospital (within 1-3 days). The current study is testing the efficacy of this program.
NCT02066389
The primary objective of the study was to compare the safety and efficacy of multiple doses of upadacitinib versus placebo in adults with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) on stable background methotrexate therapy who had not shown an adequate response to methotrexate alone.
NCT00072384
Phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of combining systemic chemotherapy and subtenon carboplatin with ophthalmic therapy in treating children who have intraocular retinoblastoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vincristine, carboplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether systemic chemotherapy and subtenon (under the conjunctiva of the eye) carboplatin combined with ophthalmic therapy is effective in treating intraocular (within the eyeball) retinoblastoma.
NCT00599638
Pregabalin is an alpha-2 delta ligand approved for the treatment of neuropathic pain, however, not all patients will respond to this drug. This study will compare the efficacy of pregabalin when administered with an experimental drug PF-00489791, in patients with post-herpetic neuralgia. The efficacy of this combination will be compared to pregabalin alone.
NCT03414645
The purpose of this Phase 1/2 study is to compare the safety and tolerability of four times a day (QID) dosing of a non-preserved topical ocular drop formulation of 10 vol/vol % and 30 vol/vol % of FD hPL to vehicle control eye drops in patients with Dry Eye Disease (DED) secondary to Graft vs. Host Disease (GvHD).
NCT03052751
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of UCB7665 as a chronic-intermittent treatment in subjects with generalized myasthenia gravis (MG) who are classified as moderate to severe.
NCT03868280
The primary objective of this pilot trial is to assess the feasibility of a definitive trial to determine the effect of lateral patient positioning versus supine positioning with fracture table use for reamed antegrade intramedullary fixation of femur fractures.
NCT02988596
Approximately 420 professional and amateur athletes will participate in rehabilitation during recovery after sports-related concussion. Participants will be cluster randomized, by study site, to a specific study arm. Participants will complete post-injury assessments and the intervention of their randomized group aimed at understanding the effects of a multidimensional rehabilitation protocol versus enhanced graded exertion on clinical recovery, return to play, and patient outcomes after sport related concussion
NCT02973087
The purpose of this phase 3 study is to investigate the efficacy and safety, including immunogenicity, thrombogenicity and hypersensitivity reactions, as well as pharmacokinetics (PK), health related quality of life (HRQoL) and pharmacoeconomics of prophylactic treatment with recombinant von Willebrand factor (rVWF) (vonicog alfa) in adult participants with severe von Willebrand disease (VWD).
NCT02171429
This Phase III, double-blind, placebo and active-comparator controlled, multicenter study will investigate the efficacy and safety of etrolizumab in induction of remission in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) who are naIve to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors and refractory to or intolerant of prior immunosuppressant and/or corticosteroid treatment. In addition to this study, a second Phase III trial with identical study design (GA28948; NCT02163759) was independently conducted.
NCT03823391
This study will assess the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of ABBV-3373 in participants with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) on background methotrexate (MTX) compared with adalimumab.
NCT02163759
This Phase III, double-blind, placebo and active-comparator controlled, multicenter study will investigate the efficacy and safety of etrolizumab in induction of remission in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC) who are naÏve to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors and refractory to or intolerant of prior immunosuppressant and/or corticosteroid treatment. In addition to this study, a second Phase III trial with identical study design (GA28949; NCT02171429) was independently conducted.
NCT02365480
This randomized, pilot phase I trial studies the side effects of berberine chloride in treating patients with ulcerative colitis and who are in remission (a decrease in or disappearance of signs and symptoms of cancer) to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer. Patients with ulcerative colitis are at increased risk for colorectal cancer. Chemoprevention is the use of drugs, such as berberine chloride, to keep a disease/condition from forming or coming back. The use of berberine chloride may keep colorectal cancer from forming in patients with ulcerative colitis.
NCT04967976
This is the first prospective randomized and controlled study on the efficacy and safety of TiLOOP® Bra mesh in patients with expander-implant breast reconstruction. The investigators hypothesize that incoporating TiLOOP Bra mesh with tissue expanders will reduce the rates of capsular contraction, improve the efficiency of expansion and provide better aesthetic result.
