NCT05276544
Individuals with obesity are at higher risk for severe disease, hospitalizations, and death from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Social distancing guidelines intended to prevent viral spread during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in major changes to daily routines . Several studies have demonstrated that individuals with overweight/obesity reported worsening mental health, poor eating habits , less physical activity (PA) since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of these pandemic rules, the use of phone/video consultancy applications and online classes for body weight control and diet monitoring is increasing. Therefore, in this study it is aimed to determine the effect of diet counseling via phone or video on weight loss and to compare it with the traditional follow-up method in the COVID-19 pandemic.
NCT05400096
This study aims to conduct an initial, single case investigation of changes in feelings of shame, overall psychological wellbeing, body image and disordered eating in patients in naturalistic setting, Tier 3 weight management service, following CFT based, online group intervention that runs for 12 weeks.
NCT04624620
The study team proposes in this pilot to test, in a single-arm mixed-methods study, the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness of the 16 modular classes taught by a chef, dietitian, and health coach. While the pilot may not have the power to detect significant change, it will provide preliminary data for a NIH application to further test this curriculum in a pragmatic, community-based, randomized multi-site Teaching Kitchen Collaborative Curriculum (TKCC) study planned for Jan 2022 or thereafter. If effective, the TKCC has potential to impact population health through translation into teaching kitchens nationally and adaptation to clinic /community settings.
