NCT01798485
The purpose of this study is to determine whether combining ganetespib (STA-9090) with docetaxel is more effective than docetaxel alone in the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT01155258
RATIONALE: Temsirolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vinorelbine ditartrate, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving temsirolimus together with vinorelbine ditartrate may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of giving temsirolimus and vinorelbine ditartrate together in treating patients with unresectable or metastatic solid tumors.
NCT02283320
BIND-014 (docetaxel nanoparticles for injectable suspension) is being studied in patients with v-Ki-ras2 Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (KRAS) mutation positive or squamous cell non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have progressed after treatment of one prior platinum-containing chemotherapy regimen.
NCT01578993
The purpose of this study is to determine the rate and timing of interventions and complications related to the use of peripherally inserted central venous catheters in adult patients.
NCT01297491
The purpose of this two-stage phase II study is to assess the efficacy of BKM120, as measured by determining the progression free survival (PFS), in patients with pretreated metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) that exhibits PI3K pathway activation. BKM120 will be investigated in two groups of NSCLC patients according to the histology of the cancer: squamous and non-squamous.
NCT00324077
The purpose of this study is to find out whether adding a new drug, dasatinib, to imatinib is safe, and whether the combination of the two drugs will help decrease the number of cells that contain the Philadelphia chromosome.
NCT00080873
RATIONALE: Traumeel® S (a mouth rinse) may be effective in preventing or decreasing the severity of oral mucositis caused by chemotherapy in young patients who are undergoing stem cell transplantation. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well Traumeel® S works in preventing or treating mucositis in young patients who are receiving chemotherapy with or without total-body irradiation before undergoing stem cell transplantation.
NCT00112294
The primary purpose of this clinical research study is to learn if patients treated with the combination of Taxane/Carboplatin plus Cetuximab (C/T/C) have a longer progression-free survival than patients treated with Taxane/Carboplatin (T/C) alone. The safety of this treatment will also be studied.
NCT00390234
This phase II trial is studying how well ziv-aflibercept works in treating patients with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic gynecologic soft tissue sarcoma. Ziv-aflibercept may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
NCT01625143
This laboratory study is looking into genes in samples from younger patients with relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Studying samples of tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help doctors find better ways to treat cancer.
NCT01076569
This pilot research trial studies biomarkers in bone marrow samples from pediatric patients with high risk acute myeloid leukemia. Studying samples of bone marrow from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors identify and learn more about biomarkers related to cancer.
NCT01540578
This clinical trial is studying biomarkers as a diagnostic tool in samples from younger patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Finding specific biomarkers may help improve the treatment of patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia
NCT01576185
These laboratory trial studies the development and treatment of a mouse model for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) using samples from younger patients with AML. Studying tissue samples from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about cancer and how well patients will respond to treatment.
NCT00023530
The purpose of this network is to accelerate research in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation by comparing novel therapies to existing ones.
NCT00538187
Obatoclax may stop the growth of non-Hodgkin lymphoma by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Bortezomib and obatoclax may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving obatoclax together with bortezomib may kill more cancer cells. This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of obatoclax when given together with bortezomib and to see how well they work in treating patients with aggressive relapsed or recurrent non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
NCT01355484
The purpose of this study is to determine if the investigational drug GTx-024 can help subjects with non-small cell lung cancer increase physical function and maintain or gain muscle, also called "lean body mass".
NCT01137968
The purpose of this is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of imetelstat (GRN163L) as maintenance therapy for patients with advanced stage NSCLC who have not progressed after 4 cycles of platinum based therapy. Participants will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to imetelstat + standard of care versus standard of care alone. Participants who received bevacizumab with their induction chemotherapy will continue to receive bevacizumab on this study.
NCT00595920
The purpose of this study is to further evaluate the safety and efficacy of Tovaxin in the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis.
NCT01036009
There is no curative therapy once acute leukemia patients relapse after transplant. Patients who develop clinically significant graft versus host disease (GVHD) have a lower rate of relapse than those who do not develop GVHD. We are initiating this study of post-transplant fast withdrawal of immunosuppression and donor lymphocyte infusions, with a goal of achieving full donor chimerism in children with hematologic malignancies. If our hypothesis that full donor chimerism results in leukemia-free survival is correct, using immune modulation to achieve full donor chimerism should decrease relapse rate and thus increase survival. The goal of this Phase II study is to identify if achieving full donor chimerism in whole blood CD3+ and leukemia-specific (CD14/15+, CD19+, CD33+ and CD34+) subset may decrease the risk of relapse of patients undergoing allogeneic transplant for hematologic malignancy.
NCT01398462
CWP232291 blocks proliferation of cancer cells via activation of caspases. Active caspase have been shown to target beta-catenin, the hallmark of canonical Wnt signaling, for degradation through caspase-directed cleavage. CWP232291 targets beta-catenin for degradation and thereby inhibits the expression of cell cycle and anti-apoptotic genes such as cyclin D1 and survivin.
