This test has shown success in a retrospective study in predicting how an individual patient's tumor will respond to a given chemotherapy and how treatment utilizing an agent that the test said that a patient's cells would be sensitive too corresponds to a longer progression free interval. This study will determine the ability of two tests used to predict the success of chemotherapy in recurrent, persistent, or refractory cancer of the ovaries, fallopian tube(s) or peritoneum by measuring how long patients live without progression.

The purpose of this trial is to study how long patients can remain progression free when they receive CP-675,206, compared to how long patients can remain progression free when they receive best supportive care. If you choose to take part, you will be randomized to receive either CP-675,206 as maintenance therapy or best supportive care. Best supportive care means you will not receive any study drug or other treatment for your cancer. Best supportive care could include treatment with antibiotics, analgesic drugs (medicine for pain), blood transfusions or psychosocial and nutritional support, depending on your needs. You have a 50% chance of being randomized to receive CP-675,206.

This is an open-label, multicenter, multiple-dose, Phase I-II study of CHR-2797 co-administered with erlotinib in patients with histologically or pathologically confirmed Stage IIIB (with pleural effusion), Stage IV, or recurrent metastatic NSCLC. Throughout this protocol, "study medication" includes both CHR-2797 and erlotinib. This study will involve 2 distinct study phases. Study Phase A will assess safety and determine the MTD of the combination of CHR-2797 and erlotinib. In addition, PK profiles for the combination of CHR-2797 and erlotinib will be evaluated. In Study Phase B, the dose chosen based on the maximum tolerated dose established in Study Phase A will be administered in a single-arm treatment design in order to evaluate the efficacy of co-administration of CHR-2797 and erlotinib.

Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for cancer cell growth. Combining chemotherapy with imatinib mesylate may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of combining arsenic trioxide with imatinib mesylate in treating patients who have chronic phase chronic myelogenous leukemia.

The current understanding of PR104 justifies the evaluation of PR104 in subjects with relapsed/refractory AML and ALL. These include: * Hypoxia. Leukemic bone marrow is likely to demonstrate a level of hypoxia sufficient to activate PR104 to its active metabolites PR104H and PR104M. * Myelotoxicity as the primary toxicity at MTD. In prior clinical studies in subjects with solid tumors PR104 has demonstrated myelotoxicity as the primary toxicity. This observation suggests that PR104 will exert a similar effect on leukemic cells. * AKR1C3. AML has been reported to exhibit high levels of AKR1C3 which should lead to selective activation of PR104 within both hypoxic and oxic leukemic cells. * Preclinical data. PR104 has demonstrated impressive activity in an initial study using primary human ALL in a mouse model. The initial dose finding phase of the study will provide estimates of the activity and toxicity of PR104 in subjects with refractory/relapsed AML, and determine the optimal individualized dose to give each subject based on his/her covariates (prior CR duration, prior number of salvage therapies, age). Once a potentially beneficial dose has been determined, an expanded cohort of subjects with AML or ALL will receive PR104 at a uniform dose. This information will prove valuable in defining the future clinical development of PR104, and in determining if PR104 has sufficient activity and acceptable safety in AML to warrant future phase II or phase III studies in this indication. Primary objectives * Determine the toxicities and recommended dose of PR104 when administered IV to subjects with relapsed/refractory AML and ALL. Secondary objectives * Evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of PR104 and a series of PR104 metabolites * Evaluate any anti-tumor effects of PR104 * Evaluate the expression of AKR1C3 in bone marrow and leukemic cells * Evaluate potential biomarkers of hypoxia

This project seeks to demonstrate that computer kiosks in a clinic waiting room can improve access to hormonal contraception and screening for sexually transmitted infections. The study will be a randomized controlled trial which will evaluate the use of a computer kiosk module to compare the proportion of women of reproductive age who receive a prescription for hormonal contraception when computer-assisted provision of hormonal contraception is offered (intervention) to encounters when the study clinic provides standard contraceptive care (control). Subjects will be contacted approximately 3 months (range 2-4 months) after the clinic visit to complete a follow-up phone interview. The study population will include English and Spanish-speaking women ages 18-45 who seek care at this clinic. Our hypothesis is that computer-assisted provision of hormonal contraception (intervention)will increase the proportion of women of reproductive age who receive a prescription for hormonal contraception versus standard contraceptive care(control).
