This is a Phase 1 research study evaluating the safety and potential benefits of a topical gel called LUT017 in helping skin wounds heal after minor skin procedures. The study will enroll healthy adults who are already scheduled to have two benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions, such as moles, removed as part of routine care. When the lesions are removed, two small wounds will be created. One wound will be treated with LUT017 gel, and the other will be treated with a placebo gel that does not contain active medication. This allows each participant to serve as their own comparison. The study team will monitor how the wounds heal over approximately one week using clinical evaluation, photographs, and safety assessments. LUT017 is a topical medication designed to activate natural skin repair pathways and potentially promote faster healing. The main purpose of this study is to determine whether a single application of LUT017 gel is safe and well tolerated when applied to fresh skin wounds, and to look for early signs that it may improve or speed up wound healing compared to placebo. The primary question this study aims to answer is: Is LUT017 gel safe when applied to acute skin wounds, and does it show preliminary evidence of improving early wound healing in healthy adults? Participants will be followed for about one week after treatment, with blood tests and skin evaluations to monitor for any side effects. The information gathered from this study will help determine whether LUT017 should continue to be developed as a potential treatment to support wound healing.

The investigators want to explore the use of a smartphone app that allows patients to take photos of their wounds in early stages of healing, so that clinicians can monitor wound-healing remotely with the assistance of an AI program. Participants will choose whether they want to be in the control group or the app group. Participants in the app group will be asked to download an app on their personal smartphone before their surgery. After the procedure, participants will upload a photo of their surgery site as well as answer some questions about its characteristics either on a daily or weekly basis. A healthcare provider and the app's AI algorithm will observe this information to determine the risk of infection. Participants in the control group will not be asked to use the app. Their medical record will be monitored by study staff intermittently to see if they develop infection. This study will take approximately 16 weeks.

This study is testing whether autologous platelet rich plasma (PRP) dressings are more effective than normal saline dressings in treating heel pad injuries caused by motorcycle wheel spokes among children in Pakistan. PRP is prepared from a child's own blood and contains natural growth factors that may help wounds to heal faster. The study compares healing rates, reduction in wound size, and time to complete wound healing between the platelet-rich plasma and saline dressing groups.

This study will evaluate the effect of an allogeneic adipose tissue extract on wound healing and scar maturation. Thirty adult patients scheduled for skin graft surgery will be enrolled. Each patient will have two skin graft donor sites harvested. One skin graft donor site wound will be treated topically with the adipose tissue extract, applied immediately after harvesting and reapplied on Day 3, while the other skin graft donor site wound will receive standard care. The main outcome is the time to complete epithelialization of the wound, as confirmed by investigators and independent reviewers. Secondary measures include wound characteristics, scar formation and scar quality, and monitoring of adverse events, such as wound deterioration.

This study is a prospective randomized controlled pilot study evaluating the efficacy and safety of an OEOd-based wound dressing compared with standard wound care in patients with post-surgical diabetic foot ulcers. Participants were randomly assigned at enrollment to receive either the OEOd-based dressing or standard therapy. The primary outcome was complete ulcer healing at 16 weeks. Secondary outcomes included new infections, need for additional surgical debridement, re-hospitalization, and time to healing. The study was designed to provide preliminary estimates of treatment effect and feasibility to inform future larger randomized trials.

The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the effect of Nano-biofusion gingival gel (NBF) on wound healing at the palatal donor site following soft tissue graft surgery and compare it to placebo gel. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does NBF gel enhance wound healing after graft harvesting from the palate? * Does NBF gel reduce the number of inflammatory mediators after surgery? * Does NBF gel reduce pain and discomfort at the palatal donor site? Researchers will compare NBF gel to a placebo (a look-alike gel that does not contain the active ingredients) to see if NBF gel enhances wound healing. Study steps include: * Participants will apply the assigned gel on the surgical wound 4 times a day for 4 weeks. * Clinical photographs and measurements will be obtained on days (0, 1, 2, 4, 7, 15, 21, 30). * Wound fluid samples will be collected on days (0, 1, 2, 4, 7). * Participants will be asked about the level of pain and analgesic consumption on each follow-up visit.

The Surgical Care and Recovery with Laser Evaluation Trial (S.C.A.R.L.E.T.) is a prospective, single-center clinical study conducted at AdventHealth Medical Group Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Innovation Tower. The study evaluates whether early adjuvant ProFractional laser and/or Broadband Light (BBL) therapy improves the appearance, texture, and patient-reported outcomes of surgical scars following major body-contouring procedures. Participants undergoing qualifying surgeries will be grouped as either cosmetic (receiving three laser/BBL sessions) or non-cosmetic (receiving standard care only). Scar outcomes will be assessed using validated instruments-SCAR-Q and Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS)-along with standardized photographic analysis at serial follow-ups through six months postoperatively.

The goal of this observational feasibility study is to learn if patients can safely, acceptably, and effectively collect their own wound swabs at home to detect clinically significant organisms in adults aged 18 and over who have had cardiac surgery via median sternotomy (central chest wound). Participants will be recruited from two sites: Harefield Hospital (Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London) and the Royal Sussex County Hospital (University Hospitals Sussex, Brighton). The main questions it aims to answer are: * Can home-based patient self-swabbing of surgical wounds provide swabs of sufficient quality for microbiological testing? * Is self-swabbing at home safe and acceptable to patients following cardiac surgery? * Could this approach be a cost-effective way to monitor for surgical wound infections? Participants will: * Receive a co-designed self-swabbing instruction pack, created in collaboration with a patient and public working group and clinical experts. * Be observed via Microsoft Teams by a research practitioner while self-swabbing (or having their carer do so) to assess usability and adherence to instructions. * Participate in a brief interview to share their experiences and feedback on the instructions and swabbing process. * Send completed swabs to the hospital laboratory for analysis to determine the usability and timeliness of the samples.

This randomized controlled clinical trial aims to evaluate the biomodulatory effects of a 940-nm GaAlAs diode laser on postoperative pain control and wound healing at the palatal donor site following free gingival graft harvesting. Adult patients undergoing free gingival graft surgery will be randomly allocated to receive either a single session of adjunctive diode laser irradiation immediately after surgery or conventional postoperative care alone. Postoperative pain will be assessed using a visual analog scale, while clinical parameters related to wound healing, including bleeding tendency, epithelialization, and wound size reduction, will be evaluated at predefined follow-up time points. The findings of this study may contribute to the clinical understanding of photobiomodulation in free gingival graft surgery.

Antimicrobial absorbable wound dressing is a novel polyester-based degradable dressing. Previous preclinical studies have demonstrated promising efficacy, with a 3-week wound area reduction rate of 63.53% in large animal models, outperforming foreign counterparts (49.47%), without significant adverse reactions observed during application. Toxicological risk assessment confirms acceptability, and small animal model studies show no abnormalities in toxicity or sensitization. However, current evidence lacks clinical validation, particularly regarding efficacy and safety in chronic non-healing wounds. This study integrates modern clinical evaluation methods with chronic wound staging theory to systematically investigate the effectiveness and safety of antimicrobial absorbable wound repair materials in treating chronic non-healing wounds. The research aims to identify optimal indications and provide robust evidence for its clinical efficacy and safety.

The aim of this study is to compare extraction socket healing (SH) following surgical extraction of lower third molars (LTMs) with and without the application of injectable platelet rich fibrine (i-PRF). A minimum of 32 participants will be included. One mandibular third molar per participant will be randomly assigned to the control group and the contralateral tooth to the test group. SH, gingival recession, and distal periodontal pocket depth of the adjacent second molar will be assessed, and outcomes compared between sides.

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effect of low-level laser therapy on wound healing of primary molar teeth extraction. in children aged 5-8 years with bilateral primary molars indicated for extraction. The main questions it aims to answer are: * does low-level laser therapy affect wound healing of primary molar teeth extraction? * does of low-level laser therapy affect post-extraction pain management of primary molar.? Researchers will compare placebo group (Sham side) to Intervention side ( split mouth design). Participants will be subjected to low level laser and post-extraction instructions in the intervention side, while the placebo side will receive post-extraction instructions only, participants will come for follow up on days 3, and 7 after extraction, they will answer self-reported questionnare related to post-extraction pain , wound healing will also be measured from photographs of the extraction site using Image J soft-ware

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the safety of the collagen wound dressing (HealiAid) in breast tumor patients with surgical treatment. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. To record the incidence of the postoperative complications and adverse events (AEs) after applying the HealiAid wound dressing in patients undergoing surgery for breast tumor. 2. To evaluate the patients' satisfaction and quality of life using the Breast Q questionnaire before surgery and at weeks 2, 12, 26, and 52 after the surgery. 3. To evaluate the patients' results of vital signs, hematology tests, tumor marker tests, breast ultrasonography, and mammography after the surgery. Participants will undergo a breast surgery. Within the surgery procedure, the tumor will be completely removed with a margin of 1-2 cm surrounding healthy tissue and the wounds will be cleaned properly before the patients receive the HealiAid Collagen Wound Dressing at treatment visit, and six follow up visits at week 1, 2, 4, 12, 26 and 52.

This study aims to evaluate whether using ultrasound (phonophoresis) can help deliver propolis-a natural compound made by bees-more effectively into the skin to speed up wound healing in people with diabetic foot ulcers. Diabetic foot ulcers are a common and serious complication of diabetes and often take a long time to heal. Propolis has natural anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that may promote healing, but it does not easily penetrate the skin. By using ultrasound to enhance absorption, this study tests whether combining propolis with phonophoresis is more effective than standard wound care alone. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the propolis ultrasound therapy or standard care. The study will measure wound size, healing time, pain, infection rates, and quality of life.

This randomized controlled clinical trial was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of combining 10% povidone-iodine with 125 mg rifampicin for preoperative scalp antisepsis in hair transplantation procedures. The study was conducted in a private hair transplantation clinic between December 2021 and May 2022. A total of 65 adult patients meeting the inclusion criteria were enrolled and randomly assigned to one of two groups: the experimental group (n=34), which received the combined povidone-iodine plus rifampicin protocol, and the control group (n=31), which received povidone-iodine alone as the standard preoperative antisepsis protocol. Data collection included the use of standardized forms, intraoperative and postoperative observation records, and photographic documentation. Follow-up assessments were performed on postoperative days 3, 7, and 14. The primary aim of the study was to assess the potential of this combined antiseptic protocol to improve wound care and infection prevention practices in hair transplantation surgery.

The present study will be a prospective, randomized, triple-blind, split-mouth, clinical trial. The study timeline will be include seven total visits. After a screening/study enrolment visit, a wounding surgery visit (Day 0) will be schedule. On Day 0, one standardized wound will be created on each side of the palate (DFGG required for root coverage procedure). Each side of the palate randomly received either antimicrobial gel (treatment group) or placebo (control group) at day 0, 1 and 3. The patients, an experienced periodontist who performed the surgical procedures and the clinical examiners will be blinded to treatment allocation. Clinical healing response and patient related outcome measures (PROMs) will be evaluated on postoperative Day 1, 3, 7, 14, 21 and 30.

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel, exploratory phase 2a study to evaluate safety and biologic efficacy on wound healing of ILP100-Topical in subjects with diabetic foot ulcers during 26 weeks with a 5-year long-term follow-up period. A total of 30 subjects will be randomized to low dose of ILP100-Topical (ILP100Lo), high dose of ILP100-Topical (ILP100Hi) or Placebo according to a 1:1:1 randomization schedule. The study will consist of a 3-weeks Screening and Run-in Phase, followed by a 5-week Treatment Phase starting from Baseline and an Assessment Phase from Week 5 to Week 26. Thereafter, the subjects will be followed yearly during 5 years in a Long-Term Safety Follow-up Phase.
