This study aims to investigate the relationship between physical activity levels and posture, sleep quality, depression, and musculoskeletal system problems among academic staff working in the health sciences field at Istanbul Aydın University. Modern technological developments and sedentary work patterns have significantly reduced daily physical activity levels. Academic personnel often spend long hours sitting, preparing lectures, conducting research, and using computers, which may negatively affect posture and increase the risk of musculoskeletal pain. Reduced physical activity has also been associated with poor sleep quality and increased depressive symptoms. This cross-sectional study will include academic staff aged 23-65 years working in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Participation will be voluntary. Data will be collected using a sociodemographic information form and validated assessment tools, including the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ), New York Posture Rating Chart, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire. The primary objective is to evaluate whether physical activity levels are associated with posture, sleep quality, depression levels, and musculoskeletal complaints. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of preventive strategies aimed at improving occupational health, well-being, and quality of life among academic personnel.

Low back pain is one of the most common chief complaints amongst adult patients in the ambulatory clinic and emergency settings and poor core strength is a known underlying cause/perpetuator. Additionally, it is one of the most common reasons active-duty military personnel seek medical care (absolute 2015; absolute 2016; absolute 2017). Moreover, musculoskeletal conditions represent a common reason service members are placed on limited duty and considered medically not fit to deploy. Posture is maintained through the interaction of the musculoskeletal system, visual input, vestibular function, and proprioception to provide optimal balance with minimal energy expenditure. Various factors, including prolonged static sitting, unsuitable work environments, prolonged screen use, and low physical activity levels, may contribute to postural misalignment, particularly in student populations. Rounded shoulder posture is commonly associated with muscle imbalance, altered scapular alignment, pain in the neck and shoulder region, reduced range of motion, and functional limitations. Kinesio taping is a physiotherapy intervention commonly used in orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Proposed effects include facilitation of proper muscular and fascial alignment, enhancement of proprioceptive feedback, and potential improvement in posture and movement quality. However, evidence regarding the immediate effects of kinesio taping on posture-related outcomes in individuals with rounded shoulder posture remains limited. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immediate effects of kinesio taping on posture, shoulder range of motion, and proprioception in students with rounded shoulder posture.

The primary aim of our study is to evaluate shoulder pain, range of motion, postural changes, muscle tightness, activities of daily living, upper extremity functional status, and exercise capacity in individuals with Implantable Cardiac Electronic Devices (ICED), during each follow-up visit over a two-year period, and to compare the assessment outcomes according to different types of implantable cardiac electronic devices. The secondary aim of our study is to investigate the factors determining the severity and duration of shoulder pain in these patients.

forty-five patients with MNP and FHP age from 25-40 years will be randomly assigned into three groups: Group A (study): 15patients will receive (upper cervical translatoric mobilization) and traditional physical therapy, Group B (study): 15patients received sub occipital muscle energy technique and traditional physical therapy, and Group C (control): 15 patients will receive the traditional physical therapy treatment only . Interventions will be conducted three times a week for four weeks. Craniovertebral angle (CVA) using Photographic Posture Analysis Method (surgimap software), pain intensity using viual analogue scale (VAS), Cervical ROM using CROM device, and neck functional ability using Neck Disability Index (NDI) will be assessed for all participants before and after the treatment program.

A connection of the stomatognathic system \[an anatomical system comprising the teeth, jaws, and associated soft tissues\] to postural control has been suggested in the literature. This research will investigate how occlusion can impact postural response, disorder, and rehabilitation by examining how modifications in the vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) influence balance and gait. Although it is currently unclear which or how restorative approaches cause postural disturbances, changes in several occlusal factors, i.e. VDO, Angle's class, crossbite and others have been suggested to manifest clearly into an altered stability, which could have a significant effect on the quality of life, especially in the elderly. The present study aims to identify the degree to which specific interventions in oral cavity affect the stability and gait patterns of patients, This will b achieved by either: * The use of dental splints (fully certified devices) * The use of the subjects' own dentures A direct correlation of postural perturbations and VDO, would essentially void the necessity to evaluate specific interventions (e.g. different types of restorations) independently and allow clinicians to assess a potential effect on their patients' stability and gait based on pre- to post- treatment VDO.

Posture is the alignment of body segments. While ideal posture places minimal stress on the joints, poor posture increases joint stress. Forward head posture (FHP) is a common postural abnormality characterized by the anterior displacement of the head in the sagittal plane. This condition may lead to muscle imbalances, pain, reduced cervical range of motion (ROM), decreased quality of life, and spinal degeneration. The most common method for evaluating FHP is the craniovertebral angle (CVA). Causes of FHP include excessive smartphone and computer use, mouth breathing, carrying heavy bags, and rounded shoulders. Cervical stabilization exercises and holistic approaches are recommended for prevention and treatment. Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates, especially in its clinical form, has been shown to improve posture, strengthen core muscles, and enhance quality of life. Literature indicates that stretching- and strengthening-based exercise programs targeting FHP positively affect CVA, neck pain, and ROM. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has gained importance in physiotherapy as a diagnostic and therapeutic support tool. Its potential in generating exercise prescriptions is being explored, though whether AI can replace physiotherapists remains debated. The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of an AI-generated reformer Pilates protocol and a studio-based reformer Pilates protocol in individuals with FHP. Hypotheses: H0: The studio-based reformer Pilates protocol has no effect on CVA, ROM, pain, muscle endurance, or quality of life in individuals with FHP. H1: The studio-based reformer Pilates protocol has a positive effect on these parameters.

Moreover, patients with obstructive sleep apnea have the same anatomical abnormalities than patients with dentofacial deformities. This study aims to compare different posture correction exercises to see which is most effective in improving forward head posture (FHP) in people who frequently use smartphones and laptops. FHP occurs when the head leans forward, putting extra strain on the neck and shoulders, leading to discomfort and pain. With the increasing use of digital devices, many individuals experience posture-related issues without realizing their long-term effects. This study will assess the impact of specific exercises, such as chin tucks and neck isometric holds, in realigning the head and relieving discomfort. The research will involve 56 participants aged 18-40 who use their devices for at least 2-3 hours daily. Participants will perform targeted exercises over four weeks, and improvements in posture and pain levels will be measured using a standardized scale. The study aims to determine whether structured posture correction exercises can help alleviate FHP and improve overall well-being in frequent digital device users.

This study aims to explore the relationship between posture and body composition in adolescents from Generation Z (born between 2002 and 2005). It was conducted as a cross-sectional study at a high school in Ankara, Turkey. A total of 572 students between the ages of 14 and 17 were included. Researchers used photographic analysis to measure head, neck, and shoulder posture, as well as a digital inclinometer to assess the curvature of the upper spine (thoracic kyphosis). Body composition-such as body fat percentage, fat-free mass, and body mass index (BMI)-was evaluated using a bioelectrical impedance analyzer. All participants and their parents provided informed consent. After data collection, participants attended an educational seminar about posture and healthy habits. The study was approved by the Gazi University Ethics Committee and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.

Because FHP weakens the respiratory muscles, it has a significant impact on respiratory function. Static balance may be negatively impacted by FHP. * FHP is effectively treated by a proper and suitable physical therapy program.
