NCT06873360
This is an observational study related to a medical device designed for the prevention of oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN) in patients with gastrointestinal cancer. The primary objective is to collect data through interviews with patients experiencing OIPN symptoms to co-design the medical device prototype, incorporating the patient's perspective. Additionally, the study aims to identify clinical and usability patterns that will help optimize the design of a future clinical investigation assessing the safety and efficacy of the final device.
NCT07423390
Some patients receiving taxane-based chemotherapy experience numbness, tingling, or pain in their hands and feet, known as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). This study aims to find out whether oral mecobalamin can prevent or reduce CIPN. Participants will be assigned to take mecobalamin or to receive no routine mecobalamin prevention during chemotherapy, and outcomes will be compared between groups.
NCT06736600
A behavioral trial aimed at helping patients identify what matters most to them and is part of a larger effort to pivot from disease-oriented care to whole-person care.
NCT07203066
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy on hand function, grip strength, and quality of life in colorectal cancer patients. Assessing the motor symptoms of CIPN and sharing the results in clinical settings will help guide evidence-based practices and interventions.
NCT07095998
This study aims to evaluate nerve excitability in participants with cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (cis-PN) using threshold tracking nerve conduction studies (TTNCS). By assessing changes in nerve excitability parameters, the study seeks to enhance understanding of the pathophysiology of cis-PN and identify early markers of neurotoxicity in participants undergoing cisplatin-based chemotherapy.
