The benefits of inspiratory muscle training (IMT) have been reported in neuromuscular diseases. However, its effects are limited. Further research is needed in new and complementary modalities demonstrating IMT efficacy in neuromuscular diseases. This study aimed to investigate the effect of combined IMT and manual therapy in neuromuscular diseases. Twenty-eight children with a diagnosis of muscle disease were included in the study. Only conventional physiotherapy program was applied to the control group. In the study group, in addition to the conventional physiotherapy program, manual therapy techniques were applied 3 days a week and IMT 2 times a day, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Lung function test, respiratory muscle strength, fatigue and dyspnea assessment, corbin posture analysis, sit-reach test, functional reach test (FRT), timed up and go test (TUG), motor function measure (MFM) and trunk impairment scale (TIS) were used in the evaluations.

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether combining repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) with machine-assisted bimanual therapy (BT) can improve upper limb function in stroke patients. The participants will be individuals aged 40-80 years who have experienced a first-time ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does the combined therapy enhance motor recovery compared to traditional rehabilitation methods? * Are changes in brain activity associated with improvements in upper limb function? Participants will be randomly assigned to different groups and will: * Receive rTMS stimulation on specific areas of the brain to modulate neural activity, * Perform machine-assisted bimanual exercises to promote motor skills, and * Undergo assessments before, immediately after, and during follow-up periods to measure functional improvements.

Introduction : Low back pain represents a major public health issue. In some cases, surgery may be necessary, but it is not without consequences. Among these, we find pain that may require management in specialized centers as well as functional disability, particularly in cases of arthrodesis, thereby affecting the quality of life of patients. Objectives : To study the effectiveness of osteopathy in the post-surgical management of lumbo-sacral arthrodesis. Methods : A pilot study including 35 patients who underwent lumbo-sacral arthrodesis divided into 2 groups: standardized osteopathic treatment and sham. The protocol consists of 2 post-operative sessions (D2 3 and D90). The evaluated criteria were pain intensity using the VAS, functional disability with the Oswestry questionnaire, anxiety and depression with the HAD questionnaire, and analgesic consumption. Result : Compared to the sham group, the osteopathic treatment group exhibited a lack of significance in the VAS (p= NS), Oswestry (p= NS) and HAD (p= NS) scores. Analgesic consumption also demonstrated a lack of statistical significance (p= NS). Discussion : In this study, osteopathy did not show an impact on HAD, Oswestry, VAS scores, or analgesic consumption. Based on other articles, there seems to be a link between the effectiveness of osteopathy and the frequency of sessions. Thus, it might be interesting to repeat the study with a larger sample size, the use of other measurement tools, and an increase in session frequency to validate these results.

Single-blinded Randomized Controlled Trial conducted amongst a sample of healthy subjects divided into two different groups: the experimental treatment will consist in bilateral T12-L1 vertebral manipulation, whereas the control group will receive a sham intervention consisting solely in applying tension without properly manipulating. Scientific literature dealing with patients with fibromyalgia conveys they suffer from an abnormal response of the autonomic nervous sýstem, where a marked sympathetic hyperactivity and a decrease in heart rate variability are emphasized. It is important to know what manual therapy techniques may manage to decrease the sympathetic activity and balance the sympathetic-vagal tone, therefore improving pain and life quality. This study will compare the effects of joint passive mobilization with the effects of soft tissue active mobilization on heart rate variability (as an indicator of autonomous regulation), psychological well-being (measured by the Ryff scale) and pain in patients with fibromyalgia.
