This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an artificial intelligence (AI)-supported, context-aware digital nudging intervention designed to reduce ultra-processed food consumption and improve dietary sustainability among adolescents and young adults. The intervention utilizes real-time behavioral data, including image-assisted dietary logging and contextual information, to identify high-risk consumption moments and deliver personalized, non-coercive nudges. The study will assess changes in ultra-processed food intake, contextual consumption patterns, and sustainability-related dietary indicators.

Background: Individual brief behavior change interventions often do not sufficiently address the common co-occurrence of multiple health risk behaviors among people. In addition, many interventions often fail to reach the majority of the target population and particularly those people who need them the most. To address these core challenges of individual prevention research, the "Proactive Automatised Lifestyle intervention (PAL)" was developed, a proactive screening and brief intervention driven by psychological health behavior change theory to motivate participants for behavior change. The trial ePAL aims to investigate the efficacy of the multi-behavior change intervention adressing tobacco smoking, alcohol use, diet and physical activity among general hospital patients over 2 years; and to investigate differential efficacy in different subgroups of patients. Methods: All patients admitted to non-intensive care wards on five medical departments within the University Medicine Hospital Greifswald (internal medicine A \& B, surgery, trauma surgery, ear-nose-throat) and aged 18 to 64 years are systematically approached by study assistants and asked to first participate in a survey and then in the randomizd controlled trial, irrespective of their reason of admission. A total of 788 participants is allocated to two study groups. The intervention group receives individualized feedback on all four health risk behaviors to enhance motivation to change identified health risk behaviors. The feedback is driven by psychological behavior change theory, tailored to the participants' current stages of change and delivered after baseline and at months 1 and 3. The control group receives routine care and minimal assessment only. Follow-ups are conducted at months 6, 12 and 24 after baseline; and more are planned for. Efficacy will be measured concerning self-reported change in health risk behaviors, health and motivation to change measures using latent growth curve modelling. Discussion: The trial will provide information on the efficacy of a population-based and individually tailored brief intervention to systematically provide individualized feedback to each patient for a healthy living. When found to be effective and implemented widely, such interventions may contribute to the prevention of widespread non-communicable diseases.

This research will be conducted face-to-face with women registered at the Women's Club. Participants included in the study are expected to fill out three survey forms first. The first form includes the Descriptive Information Form, which includes questions such as age, height, weight, marital status, education, employment status, and income status; the second form includes the Food Literacy Tool; and the third form includes the Behavior Scale for Sustainable Nutrition. It takes approximately 20 minutes to fill out the forms. After the survey forms are filled out, participants will be randomly divided into two groups and the order of the groups will be determined by drawing lots. Participants in the first group will attend the Environmentally Friendly Nutrition Training once a week for five weeks immediately after the survey forms are filled out. Participants in the second group will be included in the training after the first group's training is completed. The survey form will be filled out again immediately after the training and one month later. The study will be completed with the completion of the last surveys.

This study aims to evaluate whether Ultra-Processed Food (UPF) warning labels on social media posts improve consumer understanding and influence purchase intentions among teens and young adults. Participants aged 13-29 in the United States will be recruited and randomized into two groups: a control group (no label) and an intervention group (UPF warning). Participants will view social media posts featuring UPFs with or without warning labels and respond to survey questions following each post.

BACKGROUND An alarmingly low number of children meet public health guidelines for physical activity and healthy dietary behaviours, and are at increased risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases. Importantly, this burden is already unequally distributed at an early age. Unhealthy lifestyle behaviours are driven by complex mechanisms that differ across boys and girls growing up under different socio-economic circumstances. Outdoor play is an important contributor to children's levels of physical activity. Yet, children growing up in underprivileged neighbourhoods play less outside due to limited access to safe and attractive outdoor spaces and appropriate and affordable after school activities than other children. At the same time, today's children have abundant access to inexpensive energy-dense foods and online sedentary activities. AIM B-challenged aims to tackle the complexity of equality in children's active outdoor play and healthy dietary behaviours by co-creating, implementing and evaluating interventions in the physical and social environmental together with children growing up in socio-economically underprivileged neighbourhoods and other key actors. APPROACH B-challenged introduces a multi-actor, inter-sectorial democratic approach in five European countries (Denmark, Germany, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands), including all key actors (e.g. children, parents, teachers, policy makers). The investigators in B-Challenged will closely collaborate with all key actors, conduct analyses in European cohort data and consider the broader system (e.g. neighbourhood, family) as well as previous lessons-learned. Therewith, B-challenged aims at structural, relevant and feasible improvements in the physical and social environment promoting children's active outdoor play and dietary behaviours. B-challenged will impact all key actors in the selected neighbourhoods and far beyond through disseminating protocols and recommendations (research and policy) for upscaling the B-challenged approach.

The European Federation of Dietetic Associations (EFAD) recommends sustainable nutrition to create healthy societies. Sustainable nutrition models include the Mediterranean diet, vegetarian and vegan diets, the double pyramid model, and the Scandinavian diet. The dilemma of food loss, waste, and hunger is one of the significant paradoxical problems faced in today's world. Food waste and wastage can become an environmental and economic problem if not managed properly. It is stated that the difficulties in accessing animal protein will increase daily due to the increasing and continuing global population and negative environmental impacts. A literature review revealed the lack of a randomized controlled trial on behavioral education for sustainable nutrition among university students. This study aims to educate Nutrition and Dietetics students about sustainable nutrition, food waste, and waste, to translate the information provided to students into behavioral behavior, and to contribute to the literature in this field. In this randomized controlled experimental study, the "Sustainable Nutritional Behavior Development Scale" and the "Mediterranean Diet Adherence Scale" will be administered face-to-face to healthy students actively studying in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University's Faculty of Health Sciences, and their scores will be calculated. Following the initial data collection process, students assigned to the experimental group will receive a 12-week training program based on the knowledge-attitude-behavior model (Bettinghaus, 1986). Students will be included in the Sustainable Nutritional Behavior Development Training Program, while the control group will not receive any intervention. After data collection, in accordance with ethical principles, students in the control group will receive the same training as students in the experimental group. The collected study data will be analyzed using SPSS 20.0 statistical analysis software. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test will be used to assess data normality. Findings regarding the students' individual characteristics will be analyzed using percentages, means, and standard deviations. The relationship between the independent variables of the control and experimental groups and the anthropometric measurement results and scale scores will be examined with appropriate statistical analyses.

This study will focus on improving brain health through dietary modification of added sugars in middle aged adults (50- 64 years old). Participants will be fed two 10-day diets (one diet containing 5% of total energy from added sugars and one diet containing 25% of total energy from added sugars) and examine blood vessel function, hippocampus structure using a MRI, and memory performance.

The objective of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether an innovative care model integrating mobile health (mHealth) support improves weight management in adults with overweight or obesity. The primary research questions are: (1) Does the intervention promote weight change at the 6-month follow-up? (2) Does the intervention enhance physical activity and encourage a healthy diet at the 3- and 6-month follow-ups? To address these questions, researchers will compare the intervention group with a control group to measure changes in weight, physical activity, and dietary habits. At baseline, all participants will complete a survey assessing demographics, body weight, height, central obesity, lifestyle, weight loss history, and expectations. The intervention group will receive a weight management program based on Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA), incorporating risk-stratified health services, with follow- ups at 3 and 6 months. The control group will receive minimal intervention in the form of general health advice, with follow-ups at the same intervals.

Happy Family, Healthy Kids program, funded by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, is a 14-week healthy eating program aimed to foster "Happy Family \& Healthy Kids." The program will target parental emotional eating through a life stress management component, and parents will be coached on making happy and healthy eating behavioral changes at home that will support their children to establish lifelong healthy eating habits. At the end of this project, the investigators expect to have an effective, comprehensive, and sustainable healthy eating program ready to expand to any Head Start center in an urban or rural setting.

The goal of this study is to determine whether certain front-of-package food labeling systems improve the healthfulness of consumers' grocery selections. US adults who are their households' primary shoppers will complete a shopping task in a naturalistic online grocery store. They will be exposed to different front-of-package food labeling systems and asked to shop for groceries. The online store will record participants' selections. Participants will also be asked to complete survey measures.

Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of global mortality, despite being preventable. Moderate wine consumption has been associated with one of the preventative approaches due to its benefits on cardiovascular health, including endothelial protection and antioxidant effects, attributed to its chemical composition, such as flavonoids. Objective: To assess endothelial function through flow-mediated dilation after the consumption of red wine compared to non-alcoholic wine. Methodology: A parallel, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial with a blinded evaluator will be conducted with 20 healthy participants, evaluated at two distinct time points. Participants will be selected to receive either red wine or non-alcoholic wine and will be crossed over after 7 days to receive the opposite beverage from the initial one. The primary outcome will be the change in flow-mediated dilation of the brachial artery pre- and post-intervention in both groups. The secondary outcomes will include the flow-mediated dilation values, brachial artery diameter after the intervention, and measurements of systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP).

Purpose: The overall purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of a suite of environmentally focused nudges on the nutritional quality of consumers' food selections. Participants: \~2,000 US adults ages 18-25, at least 25% currently enrolled full-time in college, recruited from CloudResearch Prime Panels. Procedures: Participants will be randomly assigned to view food products with or without environmental nudges (eco-labels, peer comparison message, and swaps). They will be asked to select items that they most wish to purchase and will then be asked a series of questions about the products and nudges. Questions will also include standard socio-demographic variables.

Eating oily fish containing long chain seafood-derived omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) protects against heart attacks and strokes. Hence most national and international guidelines now recommend that adults eat at least 2 servings per week of oily fish. However uptake of these recommendations is poor - many people do not eat seafood at all. A number of factors probably contribute to this poor compliance with guidelines; limited availability and costs of oily fish; distaste for oily fish; and concern about toxins in such fish. An Irish company, Devenish Nutrition, offers a possible alternative solution - by feeding omega-3 PUFA-enriched feeds to chicken, Devenish Nutrition have demonstrated that the resultant chicken meat and eggs are enriched in omega-3 PUFAs. A recently completed small study, with 30 participants, showed that 5 weeks of eating omega-3 PUFA enriched chicken resulted in increased blood levels of omega-3 PUFAs. There were also beneficial effects on blood pressure and on platelet stickiness. This study will be larger (including 160 participants) and longer in duration (6 months). It will be a double-blind, controlled, randomized study. This will allow testing whether eating omega-3 PUFA enriched chicken-meat regularly over a 6 month period, results in even greater increments in blood levels of omega-3 PUFAs, and in greater beneficial effects on cardiovascular risk factors. Beneficial effects of eating omega-3 PUFA enriched eggs will also be assessed.
