Interventions that promote safe, stable, and nurturing relationships between caregivers and children are key to improving healthy family relationships, reducing child socioemotional and behaviour problems, and preventing child maltreatment. Although a broad range of parenting programs are currently implemented in communities across Ontario, most programs are inadequately evaluated, or else not evaluated at all using a pilot pragmatic Hybrid Type II individually randomized controlled trial conducted within routine service settings. The trial will enroll 300 families in Ontario, Canada. The evaluation is informed by the RE-AIM framework, with a primary emphasis on Reach and Implementation and secondary examination of Effectiveness, consistent with the objectives of a Hybrid Type II design.

In a prior application (MH064372), the investigators' treatment research program (Services for Kids In Primary-care, SKIP) developed and tested a chronic care model-based intervention, called Doctor Office Collaborative Care (DOCC), that was found to be effective in the management of childhood behavior problems and comorbid ADHD. In the "SKIP for PA Study", the investigators propose to conduct a randomized clinical trial to evaluate the effects of team- and practice leadership-level implementation strategies designed to enhance the use and uptake of DOCC in diverse pediatric primary care offices.

Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) is an evidence-based approach for teams that can be adapted for school mental health. TeamSTEPPS has been widely disseminated in health care settings with promising outcomes. TeamSTEPPS is designed to build competencies in the areas of leadership, situation monitoring, mutual support, and communication and has been associated with improvements in teamwork and communication as well as patient outcomes, such as decreased seclusion in psychiatric hospitals. This approach has yet to be extended as an implementation strategy in school or community mental health teams. If an evidence-based team approach like TeamSTEPPS can be successfully applied to school mental health teams, it could provide a cost-effective strategy for improving student mental health services and bolstering existing EBP implementation efforts, which to date generally have been insufficient in producing long-term clinician behavior change. In Aim 1 the investigators will capture key stakeholder perspectives about challenges in collocated school mental health services through formative work to inform collaborative planning and capacity building activities in Aim 2. Then, in Aim 2 the investigators will identify inter-organizational challenges and required components of TeamSTEPPS to adapt. The investigators will establish an advisory board and adapt TeamSTEPPS. The product of Aim 2 will be an adapted TeamSTEPPS, directed toward both school mental health and school-employed personnel, and specific, tailored implementation strategies to improve services in schools in conjunction with TeamSTEPPS. Finally, In Aim 3 the investigators will explore the feasibility, acceptability, and utility of TeamSTEPPS and the strategies generated in Aim 2 on inter-professional collaboration, teamwork, and student outcomes in eight schools.

This is a multi-site, double-blind, parallel group, randomized, placebo-controlled study of 140 participants comparing oral purified cannabidiol isolate (CBD) with placebo in reducing Severe Behavioral Problems (SBP) at 8 weeks in children aged 6 - 18 years with Intellectual Disability (ID). Eligible participants will be randomized 1:1 to receive either CBD or placebo.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the implementation and use of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) in three centra, with particular focus on its potential effects on the quality of the observable caregiver-child interaction. The three centra included are Telemark Hospital Trust, Department for Child- and Adolescent Psychiatric Health, Child Protective Services in Skien and Child Protective Services in Porsgrunn. The implementation of DDP is being led by Telemark Hospital Trust, while therapists from all centra are being trained in DDP as part of the implementation process. Primarily we aim to identify any changes associated with DDP treatment in the caregiver-child interaction, as measured by the Emotional Availability Scales (EA scales). Our secondary outcome measures assess changes in parental self-efficacy, parental stress, and child emotional and behavioral problems. The research aims are divided in three research questions: Q1: What changes are associated with DDP treatment: Q1.1 the quality of the caregiver-child interaction Q1.2 parental self-efficacy Q1.3 parental stress, Q1.4 child emotional and behavioral problems Based on previous literature, we hypothesize that we will see an increase in the quality of the caregiver-child interaction and parental self-efficacy after completing the DDP treatment, and a decrease in parental stress and child emotional and behavioral problems (Becker-Weidman, A. 2006) In addition to assessing the effects of DDP we will evaluate the implementation of DDP in the three centra, and inform the implementation by collecting information through interviews with patients and clinicians. We aim to answer: Q2: How do children and their caregivers experience DDP as a therapeutic intervention? Q3: How do clinicians experience the training process and the use of DDP as a therapeutic intervention? Based on previous literature, we hypothesize that we will see an increase in the quality of the caregiver-child interaction and parental self-efficacy after completing the DDP treatment, and a decrease in parental stress and child emotional and behavioral problems

This study aims to investigate acceptability and feasibility of a new version of the Imaginator intervention, Imaginator 2.0, targeting self-harm behaviour in young people aged 12-25 under mental health services in the UK. Following an initial proof-of-concept study of Imaginator (Di Simplicio et al., 2020), a new version of the app that supports consolidation and practice of the techniques learnt in therapy was co-designed, and the protocol was adapted to be extended to younger adolescents. Imaginator 2.0 uses 'functional imagery training', training in individuals to develop and use functional (that is, helpful) mental images to support an alternative behaviour instead of self-harm. Mental imagery is the process of picturing something in the mind, and mental images have strong emotional and motivational characteristics. Functional Imagery Training (FIT) within Imaginator helps young people imagine adaptive behaviours as an alternative to self-harm when dealing with distressing emotions.

Disruptive behavioral disorders are common in early childhood, affecting up to 15% of preschool-aged children. Behavioral parent training programs are a first-line evidence-based treatment for child disruptive behaviors. There is evidence showing that (a) these programs are effective in reducing disruptive behavior and improving long-term outcomes, and (b) there is an excellent return on investment for early intervention. Nevertheless, there is limited availability of behavioral parent training programs, particularly in rural settings, due to shortages of trained clinicians. Thus, there is a pressing need for expanding the mental healthcare workforce in rural/underserved areas. The study will involve an established parent-based behavioral intervention (First Approach Skills Training for Behavior; or FAST-B) with added pilot component incorporating parents who have previously been through parent behavioral management training programs as Peer Supports.

Special needs individuals with mental disabilities and other special conditions accompanying mental needs (hearing disability, visual disability, physical disability, autism spectrum disorder, multiple disabilities, language and speech disorder, learning disability and emotional/behavioral disorder) are diagnosed with special needs individuals. It includes mothers who are in service. Caregivers of children with mental special needs may experience mental problems such as anxiety, hopelessness and depression, which negatively affects the caregiver's mental resilience and increases their care burden. In order to reduce the care burden, artistic activities will be organized to express the emotions of caregivers.

The main aim of this pilot trial is to evaluate preliminary effects and feasibility of a new parent training program for parents of children aged 8-16 years with disruptive behavior (e.g., angry, aggressive or defiant behavior). The parent training program is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and includes practicing of skills in virtual reality (VR). The main questions the project aims to answer are: * What are the preliminary effects of the CBT-VR parent training program? * What is the level of parent engagement in the CBT-VR parent training program? * What are the experiences of parents and therapists of the CBT-VR parent training program? The CBT-VR parenting program is delivered at clinics during individual sessions. Parents will answer quantitative measurements before, during, and after treatment. Within-group analyses will be conducted to examine experiences and preliminary effects of the program. Parents and clinicians are also asked to participate in a qualitative interview after the program has ended.

Behavioural problems are prevalent in children, yet the consequences can be significant for the child, family and wider society. Effective intervention is paramount in reducing the impact of childhood behavioural problems. The Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA; Glasser \& Easley, 2016) is an atheoretical parenting intervention which aims to reduce childhood behavioural problems. Although used in clinical practice, there is little empirical research on the effectiveness of the NHA. The aims of the study were to examine whether the NHA reduced parent-reported child behavioural problems, reduced negative parenting practices, and increased parental reflective functioning. The study used a multiple baseline single case design. Parents of children with behavioural problems were recruited from CAMHS waiting lists. The NHA was delivered in a guided self-help format, using the Transforming the Intense Child workbook (Glasser, 2016) and weekly phone calls. Data collection involved psychometric measures of parent-reported child behavioural problems, parenting practices and parental reflecting functioning. Measures were repeated throughout baseline and intervention phases. A follow-up four weeks after the intervention included final measure administration and a change interview. The data were graphed and visually analysed. Supplementary analysis included reliable and clinically significant change, Tau-U and percentage exceeding the median. Framework analysis was used to analyse the change interview.

This study aimed to evaluate the longitudinal association between n-6:n-3 LCPUFAs ratio in cord blood and child ADHD symptoms at 4 and 7 years old. This study was based on the INMA project, a population-based birth cohort in Spain. Higher cord blood n-6:n-3 ratio was associated with higher subclinical ADHD symptoms during early and mid-childhood.

Feeding problems such as selective eating, loss of appetite, and mealtime behavior problems are common in childhood. Parents play a primary role in learning about feeding, and difficulties experienced in this process may cause the parent to experience stress, despair and exhibit incorrect attitudes. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of online occupational therapy group training for mothers on mothers' attitudes and stress levels, and children's eating behaviors. Mothers of children aged 3-6 years with feeding problems (n=29) were randomly divided into groups. Early Childhood Adaptive Eating Behavior Scale, Feeding Process Mother Attitudes Scale and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory scales were used for evaluation. The mothers in the research group participated in the 4-week training. As a result of the research, positive effects were found on mothers' attitudes and children's eating behaviors (p\<0.05). There was no change in mothers' state and trait anxiety levels (p\>0.05). This study shows that online group training to mothers can support existing therapies and guides clinicians working in the field.

Objectives The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the SREIA parent training program for families of children with ASD aged three to six years in mainland China. The study will be conducted within the context of routine service provision and assess the effectiveness of SREIA in reducing child behavioral problems as measured by the Externalizing scale of the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) for Ages 1.5-5, in comparison to a waitlist control group. Secondary objectives include examining the effectiveness of the SREIA program in reducing ASD symptoms and improving parental and familial outcomes including parental knowledge of ASD and ABA techniques, parenting styles, parental mental health (including stress, anxiety and depression), and family functioning. A process evaluation will be conducted alongside the quasi-experimental trial, the objectives of which are to 1) describe the implementation aspects of the programs with regard to participant involvement, program acceptability, delivery, and sustainability; 2) explore predictors of participant involvement; and 3) examine potential relations between implementation aspects and treatment effects. Background ASD is associated with elevated levels of child emotional and behavior disturbance, which impair child daily functioning and impose challenges to parenting. The SREIA programme is a group-based parent training in China, that has been delivered since 1993 and reached over 10,000 families. However, there is an absence of scientific evaluations of programme effectiveness. This study aims to fill this evidence gap, and the findings will be used to inform future modification, replication, and dissemination of the programme in other parts of China. This study will also contribute to the literature on the effectiveness of parent training programmes for ASD and for families living in low- and middle-income countries. Methods A quasi-experimental design with a mixed-methods approach will be used, involving two consecutive waves of delivery of the SREIA programme. Parent participants will complete demographic and outcome questionnaires at baseline, immediate post-intervention, and 1- or 1.5-year post-intervention (conditional to funding). The implementation components will be assessed by collecting attendance and engagement registry data, facilitators filling out fidelity checklists, research staff observing programme sessions, and parents answering a satisfaction questionnaire. After the programme, some parents, facilitators, and NGO (non-governmental organisation) managers will be invited to take part in qualitative interviews or focus group discussions so as to explore their views about the programme, and to better understand the quantitative data obtained.

This pilot study aims to implement and evaluate Teacher-Child Interaction Training - Universal (TCIT-U), an empirically-supported classroom-based intervention aimed at improving child behavior and social-emotional skills through strengthening teacher-child relationships at a preschool that serves children from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are at risk for behavioral health difficulties. The main objectives are to (a) examine TCIT-U's effects on teacher behavior, teachers' sense of efficacy, and child behavior problems and social-emotional skills compared to usual care (UC) and (b) explore the feasibility and acceptability of implementing TCIT-U at a diverse urban preschool.

The aim of this study is to test the feasibility of (1) an 8-session version of the Masayang Pamilya (MaPa) parenting program for families with children aged 2-9 (MaPa Kids) and (2) a culturally and contextually adapted 9-session MaPa parenting program for families with children aged 10-17 (MaPa Teens). The feasibility of MaPa Kids and MaPa Teens will be assessed through self-report questionnaires, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, and implementation data. Together, the focus groups, questionnaires, interviews, and implementation data will assess the overall feasibility of the MaPa Kids and MaPa Teen programs in the Philippines by examining program delivery, participation, acceptability, scalability, and preliminary effectiveness on reducing child maltreatment and associated risks.
