NCT03938363
Efficient gait requires effective postural control, both static and dynamic. Hence, postural disorders may affect gait. Yet, very little is known about the specific effects of focal postural disorders such as cervical dystonia (CD) and blepharospasm (BS) on patients' mobility. The present research therefore aims at analyzing gait characteristics in patients presenting with these conditions in order to document possible gait alterations. In addition, the investigators will explore the effect of botulinum toxin treatment, which the most frequently used therapeutic option, on the patients' gait characteristics. Indeed, while the treatment improves both dystonia and pain, and therefore quality of life, its influence on gait is presently unknown. the investigators aim at filling this knowledge gap
NCT03903341
This pilot study aims at investigating the role of superior colliculus in patients with idiopathic blepharospasm (BSP) de novo, compared to healthy subjects.
NCT04618887
In this study, we will compare the degree of postoperative symptom improvement, postoperative complication rate, postoperative quality of life improvement degree of patients with Meige syndrome undergoing pallidotomy (unilateral globus palliotomy) and deep brain stimulation (unilateral globus pallidus) ,in order to get the conclusion of the comparison of the clinical efficacy of the two surgical plans. In addition, possible predictive factors such as age, gender, age of onset, length of disease course, scale baseline score, preoperative brain PET-CT function analysis and other possible predictive factors are added for analysis, in order to find predictive factors that can guide the choice of surgical options.
NCT02245958
This study is a retrospective chart review to evaluate the doses of botulinum Type A toxins BOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA) and Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA) used for the treatment of Cervical Dystonia and Blepharospasm in clinical practice.
NCT01791881
To compare the efficacy and safety of Hugel-Tox (Botulinum toxin A, Hugel, Korea) against Botox in the treatment of Essential Blepharospasm and to get a regulatory approval from KFDA
NCT01259557
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Meditoxin® in the treatment of Essential blepharospasm.
NCT00507637
The objective of this Phase II study is to show that pre-treated patients with BEB with the need of shortened injection intervals achieve an improved and stable quality of life level if they receive repeated NT 201 injections at short injection intervals. In addition, the tolerability of repeated shortened NT 201 administrations in patients with BEB including the development of neutralizing antibodies will be investigated.
